I think it's dangerous. The link between men (particularly in my age range) committing suicide and their feelings of not wanting to burden/bother anyone is quite large. When I was in my bad place, the feeling of solitude and nobody understanding was quite overwhelming. This forum helped me get away from those feelings and took away my shame and embarrassment for the feelings I had. This, in a long line of out of touch politicians, has been quite stupid here but I hope we have come too far and will continue to.

Please no. imo that would be a grave error for so many reasons   We’re playing well in the current system, it suits the squad and we’re benefitting from players feeling comfortable in a system that’s working.  A straight swap, Forsyth for Bradley, would be better if he’s determined to use Foz. But even that would be a mistake at this stage.

I’m completely with you on this. Whether the consistency of 3/5 at the back would have been insisted on by Warne, or has somewhat been forced on him with the Nyambe/Foz absence remains to be seen. I personally think that he’d have played a three as much as possible because he’s decided Bradley has to play, and at the end of the day you live and die as a manager by your calls, so, so far, so good.
Collins’ injury was a real stroke of fortune though. It necessitated a central striker addition who is (and has played) at a higher level consistently than Collins, and who could just make the difference between success and inevitable glorious play off failure.
This is in no way an attempt to discredit Collins, who has given every ounce of effort and ability to the cause this season, with considerable success.
All managers need an element of Lady Luck, and those three injuries might yet prove pivotal.

Totally agree. Foz in the left of a three also allows Cash to play in his best position.
He should be in the team when fit, whether in a 3 or a 4 at the back. Changing a relatively settled, winning side is, as you say, not wise at this stage, so we just have to hope for the best.

Agree with what you say about the JC injury. But not Fozzie.    imo Warne should months ago have had Foz in the CB role alongside Cashin and Nelson. It’s far and away the strongest defensive base to play from, and - with Fozzie’s distribution - and Wilson, Ward and/or Sibley (even Elder) playing wide, still allows plenty of attacking threat. Frustratingly, Foz’s injury might have been avoided if we’d used that system by design instead of necessity
As for Nyambe, with Nelson, Cashin and say Foz at the back Ward should be picked ahead of N whether or not N is fit. Ward hasn’t played enough this season.

Question now is whether he brings Foz into the back 3 in place of Bradley. Foz is the better player all round but despite that I hope Warne will not make that change at this late stage. Don’t think he will …

Yep. Missing an offside by 10 yards takes a special kind of white stick and guide dog.
Not that I minded, of course.

I wasn't referring to the World Cup incident - rather, it occurred in the home game v Real Madrid.

It took 6 months of moaning to get a tackler in midfield and Adams is it . From where I stood on the South stand we started well for the first 15 minutes. However Cashin sliced clearances  4 times in ten minutes and we began to wobble . In the Prem all those would have ended up in the back of our net . Cashin has to get a lot better on the ball to make a Championship defender .

Funny how situations can develop for the greater good. Losing Collins away at Exeter felt like a real body blow to our promotion chances at the time but picking up Dwight Gayle could well be the catalyst this side needs to secure promotion.
There's so much I like about Gayle - he is still very quick & mobile, he's always competing for balls with centre halves & as others have mentioned, seems happy to play with his back to goal and bring others into play. I didn't really expect the latter but it's enabling him to be a complete number 9. His finishing is still top drawer - 3 very different goals so far & shows his variety - one fantastic leap & header, a scruffy scramble inside the 6 yard box & last night's sublime touch & finish from a whipped in ball 25 yards away.
His mentality looks to be spot on too. He looks furious when he scores, like a man with a lot to prove & celebrates wildly when others score & when we won the penalty last night. Have also seen him berating team mates (Mendez-Laing against Port Vale I recall) which highlights his winning mentality.
Just goes to show the fallacy of quality players only being those who cost massive fees or wages. As Rooney's ragbag bunch of free transfers in 21-22 proved, there are a lot of quality pros out there who can be extremely effective as part of a unit. The way Gayle has already combined with Barkhuizen & Mendez-Laing is fantastic & bodes really well for a strong end to the season. Brilliant bit of business by the club & love that he's enjoying being here.

Bradley would have made a meal of it if he was fouled. He was simply out-jumped. It happens, but it was a mistake.
The ball was fortunate to be in that spot, as Sibley had half blocked it - maybe he too could have done better but neither man is perfect.
I call it as I see it, as do you, which I applaud, but only one of the human errors directly resulted in the goal and Bradley was the unfortunate man this time.
The irony was that I was merely agreeing with you - we don’t expect them to be perfect all the time, but if we say that Gayle is different class at this level (ie:praise) then there’s nothing innately wrong in pointing out a mistake. I certainly don’t HATE Bradley for it, that’s daft. He’s rehabilitated himself well after a nightmare start, and PW deserves enormous credit for getting the timing of his reintroduction right.
That’s what I call balance, I hope you agree.

I think it's really important that we do that too. I hate the mentality of going into a game being content with a draw, it's like being beaten before the game has begun. We're good enough to beat them.

I really like the balance of Sibley and Ward as wing backs. I think Sibley in particular is excelling in that role and should keep his shirt in that position
