What a win!!! The character to pull it off despite the injuries and being on the back foot. The mentality is different now, we have done all we had to do in our biggest game of the season. When your in-form goal scorer goes off injured after 20 minutes, you just think it’s going to be one of those days. Let’s hope it’s not too bad for Gayle.
The Posh-Pompey result is excellent for us too, Barnsley even more of a bonus.
4 points clear with 7 to play, we can do this. What a team, what a day, get the f*** in!!

The only home game I missed that season was the 0-4 home defeat to Spurs, I was swimming with Whale sharks in the Caribbean Sea in Mexico at the time which kinda took the edge off it.😀

Unlikely. The backlash over his racism would be too much.

blue texel ram reacted to Jayram in Oxford United v Derby County
Well that performance last night was an absolute tonic to me after a dreadful Christmas (my dad is terminally ill and has been in hospital throughout Xmas). I wasn't going to go , even though the Kassam Stadium is less than 2 miles away from where I live but my family persuaded me to so I went and apart from that first 15 minutes I had the best away day I've had for years. That second half performance was brilliant; relentless attacking pressure that blew Oxford away. The Rams fans last night were also amazing; you wouldn't have known we were the team 2-0 down. I couldn't speak at the final whistle from all the singing!
Its nights like that that make following this club so special. After what has been a rough few weeks personally I really needed that experience last night.

blue texel ram reacted to Ellafella in Wigan v Derby County: Player Ratings
1Wildsmith 6 Apart from a near-post block had Jack to do.
24Nyambe 7.5 Shut the trap door on McMannaman.
35Nelson 8.0 Imperious defending & game-winning goal.
6Cashin 9.0 MotM A masterclass of a centre-half display. Industry, skill, vision and barn-door bulk.
3Forsyth 7.5 Some lovely passes & unlucky to have had his goal chalked off.
2Wilson 7.5 Brought a stunning save from Mr Tickle and delivered some very cute crosses from wide-right.
22Fornah 6 Late legs brigade to see the game out.
8Bird 7.0 Brought intricate quick passing and quick press and ran the game first half.
4Hourihane 7.0 Combined well and kept the ball moving at pace first half.
5Bradley 6 Late legs brigade; busted his nose on 97.
20Elder 97th min sub.
7Barkhuizen 7.0 Lively. Great cross for Nelson’s winner but should’ve scored early 2nd half but stabbed wide.
19Sibley 6.0 Kept a grip on the game when under pressure.
11Méndez-Laing 7.0 Not as outstanding as usual but did the full 90.
9Collins 6.5 Unlucky not to score bringing out a good save from a very good opposition goal-keeper.
Probably the best performance of the season. Derby were excellent and solidly dominant first half and despite pressure 2nd half we never looked vulnerable. As we sat in the mini-bus post-match a Wigan fan poked their head in and said “Well done - best team we’ve seen this season”.

blue texel ram reacted to Ted McMinn Football Genius in B4 - for ever a Ram 🐏
Been meaning to post this for several days, just didn’t want to appear too marrose.
It’s just not the same on here without B4!
Even though I never had the pleasure of meeting him, I just enjoyed his enthusiasm and his unwavering passion and honesty about DCFC which was clear for all to see.

I don't know that we were lucky to win the points in the sense of them being better than us or anything, just that we spent large chunks of the game getting nowhere and you wondered where a goal was going to come from (for either side). I'd say that we shaded a game of limited chances and the slightly better of two mediocre sides won it. Looked like we had thrown a couple of points away when we gave a soft free kick away at the end and then defended it badly to give them an equaliser, but to be fair, at least we kept going and one or two players gambled to try and get the win. Fornah's surge and pull back being exactly what was needed.

blue texel ram reacted to Raich Carter in Soft Underbelly!
I have no idea why Schteve is being mentioned. He is so far out of our league, financially, that it shows how delusional some of our fans are. Ex-England Manager, currently at Man U prob earning £800k pa - honestly, are you lot real?
We’re in League fkn One.
