We're 'county' in name only, the city and the club are inextricably linked. I don't think you would describe the towns of Buxton, Glossop or Chesterfield as DCFC heartlands!! I appreciate you may not like the poem (I love it) but you can't separate the club and the city.

As someone who has spent all but 4 years of my life in a different county (Staffordshire), I love the poem.

We’ve been a bit unfortunate with the bowling attack this season. It felt a bit short to start with, but Lakmal never got going (again), Aitchison got injured, Conners got injured and has only recently started looking good again, Chappell’s been carrying an injury for a while, Lamb got injured and still can't bowl. The home pitch giving the bowlers absolutely nothing to work with doesn't help either. 

I really don't get this wrist slashing. Yes it was a dour affair and atm we look like a mid table outfit. But hasn't 17 managers since 2007 shown you anything. Hire and fire doesn't work does it. We are still shopping in Poundland for players and that's where we're at. Sacking the current management team won't name the slightest bit of difference....

Those stats show practically identical xG despite playing a whole half nearly with 10 men, with a performance even the manager wasn’t happy with first half hour. Doesn’t show the chasm of difference some have been implying on here. Bolton had 71% of the ball and barely created anything. Can’t also deny the material impact the ref had on this game.
Also - just a reminder - we’re only SIX GAMES into the season in what is a wide open league with no stand out teams. We have ELEVEN new players so to throw last year into it is largely irrelevant.

There's some very honest but a little naïve posters on this thread, The year is 2023 not 1923, The game is Football not Cricket this is no gentleman's game and the money that's involved can make or break a season.
I'm a big critic of "dark arts" players will push "the rules" until it breaks, How many teams came to PP last season and "played the game" a big majority I'd guess, If you can break the game up...then do it.

If anyone is going to do the poohousing I'd rather it was us. 
Pretty much every team in this league tries to do it to us, we should fight fire with fire. We should aim to be better than the opposition in all aspects of the game, that includes being savvier.

Personally thought it was smart, stopped them getting any momentum. Teams are gonna do it at our place all season.

i think the 25 who voted for him to go immediately were not the ones out on streets raising money to save the club just a short while ago we all have differences of opinions and views but come on for gods sake get a grip. were 4 league games in and his transfer funds are probably zero just to keep us in business. if he went who or where would we get anyone else . and anyway some posters would crucify them after first loss i could names them they are  trolls really . some people still need to remember what league we are in ?
