Really love this whole thing @loweman2 and that Mr Clowes is buying in to the history which is so so important to a Club of our stature. Will do my mostest to get along to see on Friday - work willing.

I have used Arsenal as a great example and told David that we have an open invite from the club to go back down, they have set up a fantastic timeline of where the club came from and followed the history through to modern day, great use of lighting and sound adds to the experience, story boards as you walk through, it’s not about trophies it’s a celebration of the heritage, we can include our engineering links with the railways and the aero industry and make it about the people of Derby and how the club has been integral to their lives for the past 140 years, lots of photos and media, we had three screens running over the display on a loop which people just stood and watched, then importantly we will change the exhibits on a regular basis to keep it interesting and include themes such as eras or cup competitions through the season, it can be tied in with the ticket office, the yard and the club shop and of course ground tours, money can be made by the club, the good thing is that we are now up and running, lots of hard work over the years is now coming together, keep watching this space 👍🐏❤️

10.6k posts and nothing of any meaningful contribution over the years apart from snipes at others, you are one of the main reasons that I don’t read the forum so much as you are very boring and seem to pop up everywhere with an opinion.
maybe get some other interests in your life and lay off the internet so much ! ❤️

its to get away from the black and white that surrounds the entire club, everywhere you look, doesnt have to be that way so the club are looking to introduce more colour into the ground, the training centre, the shop, the ticket office, the function suites, so rather than just use random colours they have recreated past identities taken from home coloured kits and away kits. nothing to do with selling anything nor to get involved by wearing anything, you do not have to do a thing, its happening around you.

Tha what I particularly like about this identity. It’s about the past, present and future. And the things that are always consistent.
ie I don’t like Barnsley’s identity. Barnsley is winning. You can’t be winning all the time. We know, better than most, that there are investable ups and downs on the pitch over time.
But there are certain things off the pitch that stay constant throughout.
derby county’s history will never go away.  No one can take away our founding status, our two league titles, our 100+ years of memories and moments. Even if we’re loosing, no one can take away the clubs connection with the community. The future may not be success in Europe, who can say, it’s certainly not something we should build an identity around. The future is the youth system, the women’s team, and the community surrounding the club. The pink embodies that.
it’s daft to build your identity on something as fickle as results, or a playing style. Like building a house on sand. But these 6 colours represent 6 pillars that we can build a strong club on and always maintain our identity.
the colours aren’t that important, it’s the identity they embody that matters.
everyone talks about the Derby way, like the Stoke way, or the Man Utd way, etc. and thinks it’s a playing style. But playing styles depend on your manager and playing staff. They change with time. These pillars of identity are timeless.

nothing to do with away kits, nor what you like, or i like its the clubs identity, black and white came later, and its not our colours it came about because we couldnt be bothered to update our colours which were at the time red and white and had been for the previous five seasons, there was no such thing as away colours, you had one kit and that was it, if the team visiting you had a colour clash then you as the home team wore a plain white shirt, thats where our white shirts came from !!!
