When reading anything from Percy, you also have to take into account that he is a Red Dog.
He`s bound to twist the knife into us a little more than other journalists!

I didn't see anything in that Percy article that hadn't already been reported. It suggests he has no inside knowledge on this and has simply done the kind of "state of play" summary that anyone else could have done.

? I do get very serious about certain  things. It’s the way I am made. Things like this get my goat and I turn full on grumpy old goat. ?
In the end the EFL is a democratic body elected by its members and supposed to represent its electorate in a just manner.
The best recognised democratic process always has 3 key elements
    Legislature
    Executive
    Judiciary
The legislature is the EFL: it’s electorate .. it’s members……  It makes the laws on their behalf.
The executive enforces the laws .. it’s the police … or officers appointed by the executive with suitable terms of reference.
The judiciary  becomes involved when laws(rules) are breached
It is an absolute fundamental that the legislature and the executive do not meddle with, put pressure on or interfere with the judiciary …That is the way to a failed state, government tapping up judges, leaning on them blah blah  .. By commenting publicly they put tacit pressure on the judiciary .. Offside EFL.  …. If you don’t like the judgment then you should have made different laws that were better put together, less open to interpretation. If the EFL didn’t like a judgment then it’s only action should be to modify the law for the future. That is the only mandate it has….. So, They were “regretful”  or “disappointed” .. in that case the fault lies entirely at their door. The words of the  law were their responsibility. By commenting they simply show that they drew bad laws
Pompous Jono lecture over … (Thank you Norman Ilett my long dead History teacher .. you were a grumpy odd bod but taught with clarity, balance and honesty )

We can analyse him and the way he is to our club, but if I am totally honest he is an utter nobody. Quite a sad man really. If I spent that much time on another clubs situation I think I would have to take a good hard look in the mirror at the life I live and the person I have become and wonder what I could have potentially achieved in the time I have wasted.
His and others words mean nothing. Absolutely nothing in the climate we find ourselves in. The delusions of grandeur and sense of self importance and the "crusade" he seems to be on will have no impact on us or our club. He is shouting into an Internet echo chamber. Let him do it. Let him have his opinion. Let him waste his time, effort and life on Derby county.

Reggie Greenwood reacted to uttoxram75 in Factory jobs
I've been elected to represent the factory based salaried staff in the Consultation meetings regarding the "proposed" closure of our factory.
Had our first meeting today and it was quite brutal. We're ducked. Its an old site and due to several changes of ownership in recent years leading to no investment, coupled with mental increases in the price of flour, sugar, palm oil, and energy costs over the last 18 months, there is no way back.
    We are not financially viable.
We have been through severe restructures in recent years, chopping jobs left, right and centre to no avail, the company that owns us does not want to modernise and invest so we will close in March 2022.
I've worked there for 42 years. Started as a machine operator in 1978, ended up as a Shift Production Manager, covered the Operations Manager role for a period when the site was between owners. FFS, I met me missus there!
In a small town like Uttoxeter, I have seen kids and grandkids of lads I first worked with start their working life at the factory. Had blokes coming up to me in pubs demanding to know why their lad had been sacked, had people begging me for jobs, my wife has been threatened because I had to sack somebody.
I have also had people come up to me and thanked me for giving them confidence to improve their lives, people who I used to work with who now run their own businesses who always buy me a pint because they were inspired by me. I can't express the feeling that gives me.
My son did his engineering apprenticeship at the factory and is now the Operations Manager for Aggreko in Asia. My daughter worked there for a few years part time running the factory shop and now runs her own business.
We used to do Evening shifts, Lunch Time relief shifts  etc that appealed to mums who wanted a part time job to work around childcare but we had to stop all that as we got taken over by different companies. We were a factory that was part of our community.
Its a sad situation but I will do everything I can to negotiate the best possible deal for the people who have asked me to represent them.

I'm a bit emotional and had a couple of drinks so time to call it a night.

With all the strife and aggro about DCFC's situation and the angst over our 'fate', with points deductions and relegation possibly on the horizon, it's as well to check back to reality, with a fine young footballer, Bournemouth's David Brooks, now diagnosed with lymph cancer.

Here's wishing Brooks a successful outcome and with best wishes from Rams fans.

I thought that we couldn’t submit our accounts because of the EFL enquiry. It would be no good submitting the accounts and then having to say to the Inland Revenue “the original set of accounts were wrong. Try this set for size”.

Reggie Greenwood reacted to PistoldPete in Derby finally accept 21 point deduction.
Well how about this , from the Wendies case? EFL's own Counsel saying that EFL didn't want to impose any sanction on Derby for 2019-20 because it wouldnt change the composition of the Championship in that year, ie it wouldn't have relegated us  but it would have relegated Wendies in 2019-20 so they wanted penalty points deduction for us in 2020-1 and for Wedensday they wanted it in 2019-20 in order to relegate them?

I mean this sort of thing just shows that the EFL is trying it on, trying  to cause maximum damage it can.. both to us and to Wednesday.

It is a funadamental problem , and its driven by the fact that the EFL is not an indpendent regulator, but is representing the interests of rival clubs. .

    "Although proceedings of this
nature are private, the Club and Derby County agreed to share information about the
proceedings brought against each other. We say nothing about the appropriateness of
such an arrangement, but the result is that it has become clear from an interchange
between the Chair of the Commission in the Derby County case and Leading Counsel for
the EFL (Mr Mark Phillips QC) that, if the charge against Derby County is established, the
EFL will not be inviting the Disciplinary Commission to impose any points deduction in the
present, extended season. This, according to Mr Phillips, is on the basis that “looking at
the position of Derby in the League at the moment, anything that this Commission does is
unlikely to affect the composition of the Championship next year.” (It is, incidentally, to be
noted that any points deduction that might be imposed on Derby County if the charge is
established would also not have had any impact on that club in terms of relegation if it had
been imposed in the 2018-2019 season.)
    27. Mr De Marco, not unnaturally, draws attention to what he submits is the inconsistency
between the position taken by the EFL in that case and the position taken in this case,
namely, that two clubs facing very similar allegations for a breach of the P&S Rules for
the same period should be treated differently because in one case the outcome could
have no impact on the “composition of the Championship next year”.

Reggie Greenwood reacted to Crewton in Jozwiak
The government decided that football could largely support itself through the pandemic, despite removing the means of maintaining cashflow from around 60 EFL clubs, including DCFC. Instead, they bunged billions into the Arts. Then they harumphed about the lack of any voluntary sharing of TV money by the PL with the rest of the pyramid.
In the light of that, complaining about one of the foreseeable consequences of their policies is risible.
