There was no need for the ball to be off the ground if the pass had been played at the right time.
Think Washington had to end up hitting it harder than he should have had to due to letting the defender get back.
Still, no excuse for not even hitting the target from 5 yards out.

Just as an aside, I watched the match on the Wycombe channel last night as Rams TV was buffering. 
They had 2 commentators who sounded like 2 guys from the pub.
They kept saying how impressed they were with Conor Washington 😵‍💫
They also said how much we have improved since they saw us earlier in the season.
Absolutely astounded by both comments.

Absolutely nothing other than an open goal and a one on one, where our strikers managed to miss the target on both occasions. 
Either of them go in and we are all happy with a comfortable win from a tricky away tie.

Outside the play offs just like he has with Hull. I've noticed you've gone quiet on how Rosenior is doing at Hull these days, any reason?

Fair enough, looking at that still he may have been able to control it with his left then side foot it with his right but I don’t think a still picture proves anything. At full speed it doesn’t look quite as simple as you are suggesting. I’m not disagreeing that it was a bad miss but I don’t think he could or should have taken a touch first and then side footed it in. I reckon 99% of professional footballers would have done the same - tried to slide the ball into an empty net rather than risk taking a touch first.

Should have made the play offs last season.
Unfortunately we ended in exactly the same place that Rosenior had us, and now has Hull, outside of the play offs.

I'd say opportunity rather than advantage.
There's no substitute for points on the board at this stage of the season. 
Looking at the run ins I wouldn't bet against Peterborough accumulating more points than Bolton.

Yes I think he should have passed earlier, he let the defender get back and then had to put a bit more on the ball.
Doesn't excuse the fact that CBT could have done pretty much anything, other than what he did, and the ball would have ended up in the net.
Washington didn't do much wrong with his chance against Blackpool, having watched it back it was nowhere as easy as it looked in real time, he was actually quite wide out.

Washington had the goalkeeper infront of him, CBT just an empty net. The pass from Washington wasn't the best but the miss was horrendous.
