bucktwo reacted to Foreveram in Summer Transfer Suggestion Thread 2023
Looking at stats for aerial duels and this bloke came out quite high.
Manfred Albrecht Freiherr Von Richthofen , age might be a problem though.

Mbappe not extending his contract beyond next summer at PSG ?
A decent option off the bench ?

Not sure he is good enough defensively to play wing back

bucktwo reacted to Kernow in Ruben Rodrigues - Joined Oxford United
My grandkids said he supports Oxford United, apparently loads of people who grew up in Oliveira de Azeméis do.
You can’t begrudge him joining his boyhood club.

You jest but the same posters who are claiming Warne can’t attract players will be the same ones making this thread in a month’s time after we’ve made numerous signings.
Just use whatever they can to justify their pre-conceived opinions of Warne.

When can a thread be started about
"How are we possibly going to get all these new signings to gel as a team , if we are not top two from day one of the season , Warne out !! "

bucktwo reacted to Ghost of Clough in Haydon Roberts - signed for Bristol City
It's unlikely Warne wants Cashin at the heart of the defence. Evidence points towards him wanting an experienced and commanding leader there. Roberts doesn't get in the side ahead of Cashin at LCB.
With 3/5 at the back, wing backs need to be a key source of chance creation. This is the main area Roberts needs to improve on. He averaged less than 1 key pass per 90 whilst playing LB, with his only assist coming in the game vs Bristol in October. He also only scored 1 goal from LB. In my opinion, he wouldn't be a starter at LWB next season.

bucktwo reacted to NottsRammy in David McGoldrick - joined Notts County
Well im fine if he goes and fine if he stays .
But he does now have a walking stick .........we are derby county !! albeit in div 3 ( old style ) If we cant sign now 2 reasonable ( not collins type ) strikers good enough for this league we are in a sorry state now restrictions are somewhat lifted .
The meltdown that goes on should we sell one of our bang average academy products or a 35 year old about to retire striker is beyond ridiculous , if i were didzy and didnt need the money i would finish my career where i started aa nice ending that and we should be thankful for last season .
WE ARE DERBY in a piss poor league , we ought now with the money issues becoming better to walk this league this is now Warnes big big test .
All didzy will be is a back up striker a nice one at that but would you settle for that if you could play if fit at your first club ? .

bucktwo reacted to The Scarlet Pimpernel in Haydon Roberts - signed for Bristol City
From my perspective I'm not overly bothered if Haydon joins or not. He can do a job but not too concerned if he goes elswhere. I expect others who are equal or better may surface.

bucktwo reacted to Anag Ram in David McGoldrick - joined Notts County
I wonder if McGoldrick might be tempted to stay by the signing of another forward like May who can actually play football?
Last season he did the double teapot quite a few times due to lack of support.

How can you be so sure that "next season would mean relegation"
There is no guarantee that next season in league 1 would be as successful as this season.
-
bucktwo reacted to kevinhectoring in Run in to play offs...
Yes I’d rather scrape promotion through the playoffs, then send a delegation to the EFl to renegotiate the business plan for next season. Would not expect to be in a relegation battle
-
bucktwo reacted to Gee SCREAMER !! in Run in to play offs...
I'd take the promotion. A clown with size 15 shoes tied together could stay in that division. Any level of competency sees you ok and the financial difference is considerable.

Is it too simplistic of me to think that with a preferred formation of 3-5-2
Knight Bird Sibley
Should be the midfield ?

Can we please stop scrutinising Warne! Look at it this way. David Clowes has put faith in Warne to get us up and given him a big contract. He’s had his hands tied this year and will in the summer. Let’s get behind the team and Warne, instead of finding fault at every available opportunity.

Robbie Van de Laan, Seth Johnson second time, Rob Hulse, Ian Taylor, all coming towards the end of their careers I think
Robbie was in the prime coming from Port Vale . Rob Hulse was also in his prime .
