Baj got a reaction from cstand in Parking Now
Nothing surprises me anymore with the council - discourage people from driving into the centre of Derby - then close the park and ride from the Meteor Centre.

Baj got a reaction from Tamworthram in City breaks (or other ideas)
Did Vienna and Bratislava a few years ago, flew to Bratislava (loads cheaper than Vienna), taxi to Vienna (about an hour) and stayed a few nights there, took the boat along the danube (again about an hour) back to Bratislava and had a few nights there before flying back.
Riga is good too if you fancy it.
Krakow is excellent, not sure if it's still there but there was an ice cream parlour in the square when we we visited, all on offer were laced with some kind of alcohol. Zakopane mountains is a good trip out along with the obvious places.
Berlin and Barcelona are both great.

Poor things.
Emma Stone is brilliant as the young woman brought back from the dead by a Frankenstein like doctor. He inserts the brain of her unborn infant and so her new life starts as a baby’s would but then she really gets to see how the world works from a woman’s perspective.
Great satire, spectacularly shot. It’s strange, but compelling. You won’t watch anything else quite like it this year.

Baj got a reaction from Boycie in Notts Forest Playtime
If i'm understanding this correctly Forest were offered money for a certain BJ, they thought the BJ they had on offer was worth more and held out for a better offer for said BJ at a later time. Whichever way you look at their arguement it's a bit difficult to swallow.

Guardians of the Galaxy vol 3.
I've seen the other 2 and seem to recall I kinda liked them. I'm definitely no Marvel super fan but do enjoy the more knockabout fun films from that genre.
Absolutely loved it. Lots of laughs, a riot of colour and unbelievably good cgi effects..coupled with a surprisingly melancholy storyline about mistreatment of animals and a kickass soundtrack. Slightly flagged nearer the end but a really good 'cinema' film.

Baj got a reaction from Alph in Rate the last film you saw partie deux
The Platform, Netflix 1hr 34 minutes, "a twisted social allegory about mankind at its darkest and hungriest" (Netflix's description)
Truly excellent film, drawn in immediately and carries an obvious and strong message without being over political. Good acting performances all around and couldn't take my eyes off it.
A solid Bobby Davison 8/10

The Super Mario Bros Movie.
Apparently loved by the fans having being panned by the critics. Now the biggest ever opening to an animated film and I read it's nailed on to be the biggest grossing film of this year.
Having spent a lot of time with Miss Wolfie during and since the lockdowns in the Mario games universe, we really enjoyed this. If you're familiar with the games & characters, there's a lot of fun to be had in this film.
8/10 - 90 mins of joy for our household.

The Glory on Netflix.
Korean show about a woman who was bullied throughout school plans the next 20 or so years getting revenge on those that bullied her. It's a brilliant watch and I was hooked from the first episode. Some difficult scenes in there to watch but overall a fantastic drama.
9/10.

Think the best way of explaining it to me is - they're American.

Baj got a reaction from Stive Pesley in Watchable telly
Treason, Netflix, 5 episodes. MI6 drama, Russian agent etc, stars Charlie Cox (daredevil). Keeps you guessing, last episode didn't go how I was expecting, worth a watch. Pretty short so doesn't get boring or strung out.
Simmo 8/10

Baj got a reaction from 48 hours in Groundwork
Great read and great insight into the behind the scenes activities going on under Jim Smith's reign and how Derby were at the forefront of new technology and coaching methods. Like Pride it's a book that I can relate to from the very first page having witnessed the playing side at least. Some great memories relived and some not so great brought back but within all that is the warmth and affection Jim was held in by all that contributed.
Just buy it.

Doing really well tbh. Thanks for asking.
Not had a drink since then and feeling pretty good. I just need to keep my guard up and not get complacent.

A Good Nurse - Netflix. Based on the true story of serial killer Charles Cullen.
Both Jessica Chastain and Eddie Redmayne are excellent in their portrayals of the principle characters, Chastain especially.
A solid 8/10
If hospital dramas are your cup of tea then try Paper Mask (1990) with Paul McGann, fictional one this time though, would rate that the same.
Hadn't heard of Charles Cullen before - scary stuff.

You've made the biggest, scariest, most difficult and most commendable first step by what you have said. Admittance to an addition is the first battle won, hopefully you will go on to win many more. With help from friends, groups and other organisations and the courage you have shown with this will set you on the right path to winning not only battles but the war itself. We're hear to listen even if we cannot directly help you on your road but there is an end to it, keep going down it and you'll get there. Wish you all the best and you're already going in the right direction.
