Yeah that’s true, but It was never a penalty, have you heard the interview with Trevor Christie when he talks about It, they had no idea what was going on! Ha ha like you say, who cares…I still have my “promotion” flag from that night….and as a 13 year old getting “a lock in” at the pub in Nether Heage when we got back celebrating was pretty damn exciting.!

Legend. Needs a statue as big as the baseball ground, actually, just rebuild the baseball ground and we can move back over there.

I am off to the vets tomorrow with our little dog, had her 13 years and unfortunately she isn’t very well at all and I think the vet is going to call and end to It… gutted, absolutely gutted but she isn’t eating anything and is just vomiting all the time….
She is the thickest dog I have ever know, knows no tricks, has zero loyalty, isn’t snuggly at all, is blatantly disobedient, has always peed and poo in the house every couple of months for no reason, eats anything she finds, dead or alive, rolls in anything horrible outside, drinks the dirtiest puddle water, will get covered in mud and dirt on any walk, hates going in the bath and has the stinkiest breath ever…. Going to miss her so so much.

the reason Derby County Football Club went into administration is so so simple..... Mel Morris stopped putting in the money to keep them out of administration.....that is it, nothing else....If he was still pumping money into the club we would not be in administration.

Yep…and he did… and he knew the consequences and we went in to administration so we have to face the punishment.

You genuinely think that your 450 season ticket a YEAR is paying anything towards the wages of the squad…?

Ok, lets move on bring in a new owner ASAP and plan for L1. I have to admit that I was shocked with the amount of overspend, a lot more than we have been led to believe. Given the amount we cannot complain with the deduction.

Its all down to Morris and his mate really trying to pull a flanker before realising he couldnt and then just walking away and leaving us in the lurch, EFL just applying the rules so dont see any point in a protest myself. Time to move on. You dont need to spend millions to get up the leagues as much smaller clubs than Derby have proven over recent seasons.

That statement is the biggest load of a*se-covering retrospective b*llshit I’ve ever read.
Talks about their dismissed charge on the stadium sale - of no relevance here at all
Repeats their misunderstanding that we assigned a non-zero value at the end of a contract, which we never did.
Trumpets the fact that the panel agreed with the EFL charge that we used non-straight line amortisation - which we said we were doing, and numerous accountancy experts and bodies said was FRS102 compliant. If they wanted everyone to use one method, it was in their power to write that in the regs.
Dismisses us being able to use the revaluation excess to mitigate losses. No reason given why.
Repeats rolling losses over three years. If we’d been charged on the first period, that loss would be wiped for subsequent periods (I think). If they’d said we’d overspent at the start, we would have made different transfer and commercial decisions to get back under the limit.
If I read it correctly, we can’t impair player values in the same way Stoke has done to reduce losses. Why not?
Everything phrased by the EFL to say “we were right and justified in taking this action”, but no facts to back up that claim.

    Disgusting really.

Hopefully they will move on to ruining something else now and leave us alone.

So to be clear, Reading who have breached FFP to a higher degree than us will get the same 9 point deduction, but will not have had to put up with the same two years of embargos, denial of the COVID loan, repeated disciplinary processes, legal action from other clubs, being branded cheats in public with no ability to respond?
The EFL are a ducking joke. The process Derby have had to endure is so massively disproportionate to the breach that it's not even funny. Villa, QPR, Reading, Leicester, Bournemouth etc. None of them had to deal with even a fraction of the nonsense we have, and they all breached FFP to a greater degree.
duck the EFL, duck this season. Blood the kids, see which ones are ready for League One, as for the integrity of the competition? duck that as well. Don't care.

There's only one person to blame for all of this, one..
He's lied to us, conned us and left us high and dry.
The EFL are applying rules that are in place for every single club.
We've lost more than we should.
Morris tried to flount the rules, failed and left us.
Putting us in administration was the final nail.
But if you wanna sing F the EFL for applying punishments to us for breaking rules that we knew were there and knew what the punishment would be then go ahead.

Some might say the EFL did what was expected of them - if Mel had been left to carry on without being challenged by bodies like the EFL the who knows what sort of a glorious mess he might have put us in. -21 points is the least of our worries given where Mel has left the club financially and is so much less than could have happened if he had kept on making the 'Las Vegas' bets, aligned with his belief he could dance his way out of this with smart accounting, he got in the mode of undertaking.

Having checked, it seems Albania are ranked 63rd and England 5th..
In their weakened state they were probably playing at a level some way below that.
Ironically, England put in their poorest performance when they tried to play more attacking against Hungary.
They had great success last night playing a fairly defensive formation but high up the pitch because the opposition press was so half baked.
I predict we will get to something like the quarter finals of the next wc. To get beyond will need a "lucky draw".

This is the exact reason I am still so angry about this whole debacle.  We were guilty of poor communication and fined £100K.  We still didn't break the law. Bent the EFL's rules maybe, but that's it.  We didn't hide it.  We didn't try and cover it up.  We didn't do anything illegal.  Being forced to re-do accounts based of how the EFL wanted it applied (contrary to usual industry practices), we're found to be what? £4m over?  The punishment applied to us for the past 2 years, (courtesy of THEIR delays, change of approach, changes of mind, incompetence, call it what you will), plus the 12 points for Admin far exceeds the perceived crime already.  We couldn't take the loan, which may have stopped Admin, because they had put us in a position such we wouldn't qualify. And to now apply another 9 points, for barely £4m is incredible.....a discrepancy only created because the EFL having previously accepted our accounts for nigh on 4 years changed their minds as a result of a certain person pointing the anomaly out to them.   How does that equate to Reading's breach, over 10x ours, but receiving the same penalty.  Plus of course 3 suspended due to late wages (yeah, Mel should have paid).  I honestly truly don't get it.
I do get the Administrators wanting to just lie down and accept it all, so we can get a clean slate and move on, but I really hate the fact we have (IMO of course) been unjustly treated and have just accepted it whilst the EFL get away with everything.  Maybe I'm just too principled.
