Naive at best. There are many examples in our clubs history and of other clubs where a managerial change ( without change in players) leads to an upturn or drop in performance and matches won. The quality of the players may place a ceiling on performance but there examples where a new managers have drastically raised the performance level of what was previously viewed as an average squad of players.

Thing is you wouldn't know this from inside the stadium. We are getting exceptionally good crowds week in week out and the atmosphere is good for the most part. There is no animosity towards the manager at the games, you only hear it on here when we drop points.

He comes out with the same crap after every game. I loved the guy when he first come in but now I’ve soured and everything he does just annoys me.
All he has to do is say “We are Derby County, we should be pissing this league against these electricians and plumbers“ and show a bit of fight about him and I might start to change my opinion.

Good point.  And just like 10:00 on Wednesday night when the general assumption was that Bolton would win their game in hand, we must assume the same for Rotherham.  Therefore, that would take to the, 4th or 5th, 3 points off automatics.
It’s also more relevant to compare to the top than bottom because of the number teams between them. Getting in the top 6 relied on a couple of teams losing.  Dropping to the bottom 3 relied on 13 teams winning.
We’ve had posters saying Rotherham stayed up because Warne left, but forgetting their start and his far better ppg than his successor.  This season they’re down with 23 points so far, worse than any season under Warne (40 in 18/19 and 42 in 20/21 when he was in permanent charge although it was 23 when in interim charge).  It could be said that it’s more to do with the resources available to them than any particular manager.

So, it's easy to make selective stats suit an argument, as others have pointed out in previous posts, but also, 9 games in and lost only 1, the same as Sheff Utd and Burnley who both got promoted at the end of the season, only 4 points above relegation - but had a game in hand, and the fact there were 13 other teams between them and the bottom 3 should be ignored?
Reality is, Warne leaving Rotherham probably instigated a loss of form, and if it is OK to speculate Rosenior would have done equally as well as Warne at Derby then it's also reasonable to speculate that Warne would have had a decent season woth Rotherham if he'd not left for us.

I remember listening to Pep Guardiola not long after he joined Man City explaining that it was his job to get the team up the pitch and into shooting positions - you rely on the players to do the rest.
Two fairly insipid 0-0 draws against Northampton and Wycombe could potentially be the difference late in the season between finishing in the autos/playoffs but we created more than enough chances to comfortably win both.  Waghorn blazing over the bar and CBT somehow managing to fall over the ball early in both games could have set us on the path to comfortable victories.  Surely non other than the most ardent PW hater can surely say that those misses were anything other than individual errors.
Whilst I'd agree it wasn't pretty and become more laborious the longer they went on, if our players had put their boots on the right feet we'd have won both games in the first half.
Ah well, I think most people said 3/4 wins would probably be enough before Wycombe.  Nothing has changed imo other than its now 3/3 wins (and yes I know technically we're relying on a topsy-turvy season continuing to be topsy-turvy for it to be enough.)

So manager of the month twice in one season, second in the league, best goal difference, fantastic home and away crowds every single week...and yet,the usual suspects think that clowes will sack him 😂
I do wonder just how many of them actually go to games or even watch the on TV rather than just reading the scores at the end of every match and making "decisions" based on that or their sycophants on here.

We will get automatics! and we will get promoted!!
We have it in us to pull these remaining results off but we need to get behind the team 🐏
Not being hysterical at every miss kick and bad result!
Not using ridiculous and visceral vocabulary such as "Bottlers" and start praising the players you don't build player confidence and motivation by talking down about them, they are humans too! They read social media and stuff online. Maybe even this forum? think about that
I've cant believe how reactionary this fanbase has become! I get the performances haven't been total football but we aren't there yet! we are a work in progress, you know?
We will deal with next season when we get there but for now, 3 games to go let's get out there and support and clap the lads on and off the pitch, comment on the socials with words of motivation and togethernes ❤ that's what's gonna bring us over the line.... plus I'm sick of looking at heaps of negativity on here 🤣
We are 2nd , remember. Start of the season we'd have paid money to be here 🙌🏻
and vibes are real, they'll feed of us it's all frequencies and vibrations ✌
Come on Derby, time for promotion 💪 🐏 ⚽️

I half expected that and, I’m glad we didn’t lose.  I was nowhere near as nervous through the game as I was against Pompey because while we didn’t look like winning, we didn’t look like losing either.  That said the performance was not where it needs to be.  Again, too many off days at the same time.  Abject is probably a good description.
If CBT’s chance goes in, we would probably have gone on to win comfortably but I think that affected not just him but the team too.  And NML at least has to make the keeper make a save.  I have some sympathy with Washington’s chance as the ball was bouncing and difficult to control.
My glass half full position (and helped by sleeping on it) is this happens, even to Liverpool!!  When we slipped up at Northampton, no-one else took advantage.  I had this as a draw and Pompey as a defeat, so 1 point up.  I think Pompey will beat Bolton win both promotion and the league, that’s come at a good time for us.  Posh will slip up in the next 5 and away to Oxford on Saturday isn’t easy.
3 wins, and I believe we can do it 🐏.

Poor game but I don't think this is the disaster people are making it out to be.
Personally I was always slightly worried about this fixture and on my predictor I had us drawing this game and we still go on to make automatic promotion.
If we win the last 3 games Bolton will have to win all their 4 to go above us including beating portsmouth and peterborough.
It's not in our hands right now but it could all turn again after saturday. We just need to be in pole position come the last game of the season.
I still back us to do this.
