Given the pressure on us going into the game I thought that was as comfortable a performance as we could have hoped for and a further 2 or 3 goals from open play wouldn't have gone amiss.
Some of the stupid comments posted when the starting X1 was announced were embarrassing, churlish and infantile - I do wonder at some fans.

Thing is, I didn’t. We play mixed football most of the time. Sometimes physical, sometimes technical. We play in a way promotion teams play in League one. Are you suggesting that only technical teams win in the championship or indeed in football in general ?
The irony is that it is a player like Adams who is both physical and technical has made a huge difference to our performance as a team when for example Bird and Hourihan for all their technical abilities have struggled in physical games. You play in a way to beat the opposition. To suggest Warne is fixated on a style as Macarthy often was is as inaccurate as it is unjust.

This is not a step forward at all, it stifles competition and turns it into a closed shop for the benefit of Sky. Shame on the EFL for signing such a deal. and shame on the clubs for agreeing to it also.
I will continue to subscribe to Rams TV, my overseas trips currently cost me £5 per month 🙂 Will sky be showing all matches live like Rams TV does? I doubt it! I won't give my money to Sky TV on principle.
All fans should boycott Sky TV, they are destroying football in my opinion.

We will get automatics! and we will get promoted!!
We have it in us to pull these remaining results off but we need to get behind the team 🐏
Not being hysterical at every miss kick and bad result!
Not using ridiculous and visceral vocabulary such as "Bottlers" and start praising the players you don't build player confidence and motivation by talking down about them, they are humans too! They read social media and stuff online. Maybe even this forum? think about that
I've cant believe how reactionary this fanbase has become! I get the performances haven't been total football but we aren't there yet! we are a work in progress, you know?
We will deal with next season when we get there but for now, 3 games to go let's get out there and support and clap the lads on and off the pitch, comment on the socials with words of motivation and togethernes ❤ that's what's gonna bring us over the line.... plus I'm sick of looking at heaps of negativity on here 🤣
We are 2nd , remember. Start of the season we'd have paid money to be here 🙌🏻
and vibes are real, they'll feed of us it's all frequencies and vibrations ✌
Come on Derby, time for promotion 💪 🐏 ⚽️

Just my observation on some Sibley bashing I've seen, and especially wrt the goal.....
Kamara is the form winger in the division at the minute and overall I think it was a fairly even battle between them, not bad for a full time left back, but a makeshift one, come on, give him some credit!
I'd argue that for the goal he'd held his line and anticipated Kamara running behind into an offside position...... if Cashin hadn't have been quite so tight Bishop may not have flicked the ball past him, or he could have intercepted it, if Nelson wasn't too deep Kamara would definitely have been offside instead of one of those VAR questionable ones, why was Nelson so deep I hear no one asking as it's easier to Sibley bash for 'losing his man', which I think is a tad unfair.....
    Just my opinion.

Everyone, and Paul Warne has said this many times, knows we need better players in the Championship. If we get promotion, I think we will get sufficient to compete next season.
Everyone would like us to play free flowing football but there are times when you just need to show hard work and desire. If we are a mid- table side next year, that will do for me. Just gradual improvement, which is all we should expect after nearly falling into the abyss.
i think that Warne and his coaches have shown over the last few months that they are tactically more aware than people think. If we can get some more energetic, quicker, aggressive players in (Adams-like) I think we could be ok.
unfair to judge Warne on his Rotherham experiences. We are a totally different animal (as he has learnt).

To the ap fella… we scored two good goals. Their equaliser was a fabulous strike but the fella hand balled it on the touchline. We frustrated them in large parts. The penalty wasn’t a penalty. The striker hit it in front of Smith but couldn’t get in front of him. He went into the back of Smith. Their “open” goal. Seen those type of chances missed all the time. Wasn’t as easy as you make out. Wildsmith saving with his legs… you’d expect a save from that angle. The bloke should have pulled it back.

Lastly, when we were on top first half, NML breaking through with an overloaded on our left… mangy fox stops play 😂😂
I said to my lad, if I was a neutral watching that game, I’d never have thought Pompey were gonna score that second half but being a Ram, it’s always feels nerve wracking watching the opposition have so much ball even if it’s just in front of us. I think for some posters, that sort of skews the view of the game in that they feel we were some how lucky to get a point

Great result and performance.  A point away at the top of league in horrendous conditions is not to be sniffed at.  I thought Ward took his goals well, especially the first.  He hit it first time, no need for a touch to control it and that probably caught them out.  CBT had his best performance in a Rams shirt and showed what he can offer now he’s over his niggles and settled in.  Sibley did well against one of the best wingers in the league.
Adams - my MoM, although Cashin ran him close.  I thought we might need a 3rd man in midfield but having him as 1 of the 2 is like having 3 in midfield.  The amount of ground he covers is superb, he tackles, he supports the attack and good on the ball.  How he plays with that energy during Ramadan I’ll never know.
I thought we were tactically spot on in the 2nd half and played the conditions well.  No point in closing down, risk a slip that lets them through or gives away a free-kick.  We made them go long and the ball skidded out on a slippy surface.  It took a bit of luck (handball) and a cracking strike to equalise - Wildsmith was a bit unlucky with that.
4 to go, 3 wins should do it.  April could feel like a long month!!  COYR 🐏.

That’s two good/determined and disciplined games in a row after Northampton.
lots to be happy with and relieved  Collo can play 60 mins plus we will need him against Wycombe
CBT is helping the team whilst NML goes through a spell of less impactful form
if we can get those two performing well at the same time
The only posts that have distracted me from feeling good about the point gained tonight have been those that have been a little bit OTT
one poster in particular i felt over did it with the expletives. I like that our forum doesn’t really have swear words .. at least not aggressively directed at another poster anyway
Bris hasn’t dampened any of my enjoyment and I’m surprised others have allowed him to seemingly dampen there’s. I don’t like censorship and I don’t like .. self appointed policing (not talking about mods)
whilst I don’t agree with all he says @Caerphilly Ram is an example to us all regarding staying polite/ respectful and objective (most of the time 😂)when messaging with those who propose a view that he doesn’t share.

    Ebou Adams well played
Corey Smith really good input over the past 5 or so games since his return
great that I’m feeling a touch of disappointment with a draw when I would have bitten your arm off for a point pre kick off
Please let us go up via the automatics and please let it not go to the last game of the season (I think we all know it will!)

In the game I saw we scored 2 goals and created nothing else of note in 90 minutes.
Portsmouth on top of their 2 goals missed an open goal, had a 1v1 saved by Wildsmith's legs and the penalty incident at the end. Calling the above an even game and a fair draw is a bit of a stretch.

That’s good then, here’s my opinion , people ( small number ) who come on here to rubbish our , team and or manager in a match thread to bring people down or wind them up constantly are not derby fans , they are not invested in what’s going on NOW , have disdain for fans who are happy and getting some excitement and enjoyment from being in the hunt for promotion and if it was up to me I would ban them till end of season to let us proper fans enjoy the ride ,,,
that’s my opinion and I’ve held back a bit from saying it but duck it , it needs saying

For anyone feeling negative I'd argue the following.
This is our second season following a significant meltdown off the pitch which resulted in obvious repercussions on it. We've consolidated and are now in a good position to return to the Championship.
We have a sensible owner who genuinely loves the club and who has a desire to see the academy excel. He also isn't an egotistical and confrontational fool.
The squad we have will, I suspect, be subject to much change during the summer as the restrictions end. The style of play may well turn towards something a little easier on the eye as a result. It's all about getting out of this division and recruiting well before 24/25.

Ah, what a jolly spectacle unfolded at Fratton Park this evening! One simply cannot help but marvel at the peculiar charm of this island oasis amidst the tumultuous seas of English football. As the rain hammered down upon the pitch, making it a more suitable surface for Torvill and Dean, it seemed as if the very essence of sporting drama had been distilled into this quaint corner of Portsea Island. Picture, if you will, the gallant clash between two titans of the game, Derby and their valiant hosts, engaged in a battle of wits and skill upon the hallowed turf.
Twice did Derby gallantly surge ahead, their spirits buoyed by the promise of victory, only to be thwarted by the indomitable Moxon, whose strike left Collins and Thompson resembling naught but ethereal phantoms vanishing with the dawn. Oh, how the Rams’ keeper, Wildsmith, must have felt as though he were soaring through the skies like the legendary Superman, yet clutching in his grasp a shard of Kryptonite, his nerves as shaken as a dry Martini in the hands of a trembling barman.
Ward, with his brace of goals, appeared poised to secure the coveted three points for his side, yet in the grand scheme of things, it was Derby’s prowess without possession that truly shone. Admirable in their defensive fortitude, they emerged from the fray with a well-earned point, a veritable jewel in their crown that may yet prove pivotal in the grand reckoning of the season.
And let us not forget the luminous Adams, whose brilliance on the field knows no bounds. One can only imagine the splendour of his performance when fully nourished, like a fine vintage reaching its peak. And what of CBT, growing sharper with each passing game, his assist a thing of beauty akin to a sly fox evading the hounds, waved on by the benevolent hand of Sonny Bradley.
In the end, it is Warne, contented with his hard-earned point, who leads his bobble-hatted charges forth into the final four games with spirits soaring as high as the lofty spires of Fratton Park. Oh, what joyous tales these grounds do tell, where the drama of the beautiful game unfolds with all the wit and whimsy of a tale spun by the master raconteur himself.
