Mark of Ayrshire reacted to Archied in The coronabrexit thread. I mean, coronavirus thread
My god your views and opinions really are extremely unpleasant and blinkered and self centred , do you see people with mental and or emotional problems as pathetic too ? My wife is on the verge of panic attacks after 5 mins wearing a mask ,I don’t understand it fully as that’s not the case FOR ME but I know it’s very real for her , I do do know she is not pathetic though

Not really into these foreign beers but I must say I enjoyed this that I bought while queuing for the check out in Morrisons. I’ve got another for tonight.

It’s the lifting force of wind getting beneath the roof. It’s like a massive sail and could generate huge forces.

What is it with this country?
I'm sure you've seen the images/videos from Hyde Park and Endcliffe Park this morning, we've had similar up here albeit it on a much smaller scale in a couple of locations.
Is it some sort of protest over the lockdown that I'm not getting?
What I'm struggling with is the idea that as some of them started to depart, they must have seen others leave the rubbish and rather than think that's out of order, they followed, the next party followed and so on.
Not sure if this has been discussed today in the covid topic, so apologies if it has, but if these are the scenes after 1 day in the sun with partial restrictions lifted, what's going to happen on the 12th and then later when they are fully lifted in June is it?
You could argue the local councils should have planned ahead for this, placed large Biffa bins all around the parks, but then they would have been accused of encouraging mass gatherings at the locations, and to be fair, would it have even made much difference? Looking at the state of the parks, you don't get the impression any of them would have been bothered to walk 15 yards to a bin anyway.
Really starting to feel my age now, as even when we were kids bunking off school and downing cans of carling we didn't leave rubbish behind like that. Madness.

Lost this one today. Sad, obviously, especially because I couldn’t say goodbye. But glad to have had her in my life since I was 9.

We have four breeds of dogs banned in the UK Cisse.
https://wamiz.co.uk/dog/advice/18085/banned-dogs-in-the-uk
In my experience/opinion bad or dangerous dogs predominantly have lousy stupid owners who have certain breeds as a kind of trophy or to enhance their image as rufty tufty hard men (as it is usually always men who own these dogs.)
I have had the pleasure of co owning two Old English Sheepdogs, two Bullmastiffs, a Labradoodle and currently a Jack Russell and a Rottweiler.
I have found our dogs give out what we put in and that’s loads of love, fun and exercise with a drop of discipline early on in their lives.
Our Rottweiler is popular in our village, everybody knows her name and comes up to make a fuss of her and she loves it yet the breed still suffers a bad image due to the fools that owned them around the 80’s and 90’s. It’s a shame as they are a smashing dog that really want to please their owners.

That would be RK and SR i guess, One is at the appeal stage the other he lost.
Sure MM hasn't handled some things very well, I guess Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates et al also haven't handled things well at times within their corporations.
Yes you're right it is a very emotive subject, unfortunately there's those that want to point an accusing finger and say...we're here because of MM, Yet he's not kicked a ball in anger and only picked the team once I belive ?

Echo the sentiments here. Too many parents dont understand the priviledge and responsibility of having children though. As someone who will never have them myself, I find it absolutely appalling. Society is broken and its not donald trump, jeremy corbyn or anyone elses fault. We need to take responsibility for our actions and raise kids with principles, values and morals

The typical thing is where one of the parents pops a balloon, and if the confetti that bursts out is blue, it’s a boy, and if it’s pink, it’s a girl.
It’s a crap, attention-seeking modern phenomenon.

Show off...
Actually, a good story about Costa. I recently employed 2 ladies that were working in my local Costa. I had 2 pretty entry level jobs that did not pay much but was still a better deal than Costa. They had never worked in my industry but my lot had a gut feeling about them.
Both are absolutely brilliant and have doubled their wages in less than a year. Hard working, multi-lingual superstars. Could not me more happy with them. They both admit that Costa did teach them some good things and they learnt a lot..
Moral is I suppose, just because you may not hold the greatest job in the world at any given time, it does not mean that you cannot achieve anything, given a bit of luck and dedication.

Can’t think what I’d do without these two... they really are the best, as much as I’ve rescued them they’ve rescued me! Anyone struggling I can not recommend a pet enough, gives you responsibility and something to get up for, gives you unconditional love and accepts you for who you are, they really are the best.
