atherstoneram reacted to Reggie Greenwood in Kirchner- A risk or a potential reward
If big American financial institutions like Goldman Sachs’s etc have been funding Kirchner / Sylnc then I’m pretty sure that would have had a bearing on the Q/ EFL decision ? If he could /is fooling massive financial corporations I doubt the EFL and Admin would fare much better sussing him out.
That’s from a person who is no fan of Q or EFL

I’m not sure how that would help. I suspect most people that are too worse for wear at matches have had most of their drinks before they arrive at the ground.

Just checking - you're saying being more tolerant and understanding of fellow human beings and just being a bit nicer to everyone is an awful ideology? And you're saying it's scientifically provable that being purposefully offensive to other people makes society better?
I'd genuinely like to know because I think it's interesting to hear other people's opinions and try to understand where they're coming from

But you are assuming people who go occassionally, dont like swearing buy half and half scarves are not real fans and know nothing about football, how do you come to that conclusion.

My husband said that (I didn't get to games that early).
Nearly all males, but there was none of this abuse, just getting behind your team.
And I do go to games home and away, just don't see why I should have to put up with the abusive stuff.

Think you are being a bit rude in some of your remarks here, my dad is 95 ,cant attend now, but he was never a singer when he went, but he loved football. Was he less of a fan than the ones who sing vile songs at opposing players.

Oh I agree, a lifetime ban for a moment of drunken stupidity has parallels with transportation for nicking a loaf of bread, but if you invade the pitch and you flipping know you shouldn’t then 6 months or a maybe seasons ban is proportionate and balanced. There has to be a deterrent. It isn’t authoritarian to to say behave yourself or face consequences. It’s called living in the real world, being grown up and .. da da responsible.

In the 40's and 50's and mostly 60's grounds were packed with working class fans, no trouble then. It all came in the seventies. If you watch old films the atmosphere was brilliant, rattles and everything, so really you dont need foul and abusive songs and chants at matches.

The atmosphere at the ladies semi is fantastic, loads of ladies and kids, everybody supporting the team, no chanting towards the opposition fans, no taunting, no running on the pitch, no flares, no chanting about fxxxxing bouncing. It’s brilliant to see ?

Can't be having that, these players are professionals with a core fitness with ever ache and pain and nutritional requirement taken care off. The other team will be up at six to go to work.

What it does accentuate for me perfectly is something I’ve always maintained and that’s that sometimes you go down the leagues and it’s much much harder to perform….

The club needs the money but so do many of its supporters. Tough times.

Seems pointless when Leicester are streaming it for free on their youtube channel.

Crewe or York will be the eventual winner and it won't bring as many jobs as has been quoted as the National Operations Centre located at Milton Keynes will not be moving anyway.

Keeping Pearce at the club may be the correct thing for David Clowes to do. I assume DC would have questioned him over his personal input into how the club was run under it's previous owner.
Did Pearce see Morris was taking the path that ultimately lead to us going into administration but was powerless to stop him and did his best to keep the club on an even keel.
Or was he the initiator of some of the methods that Morris used, that nearly ended with the club ceasing to exist

If dc wants to keep him on that’s good enough for me ,,, chances are he knows his stuff and is good at his job but was doing what he was told under Morris, he may be a very different kettle of fish under clowes

Don’t think CK was doing the persuading. I think it’s more likely that Stretford persuaded CK to buy an English football club (Preston or derby would do), one where Wayne could hone his management skills and continue to earn a hefty salary.

You’re buying a series of tickets to football matches, you’re only right is entry to those games, and that’s conditional.

Not unless you're a shareholder, no. Rightly or wrongly we're all just customers paying to be entertained, at the end of the day.
Open up the business plan to fan scrutiny and you'd get 20,000 different views on whether it's right or not. Plus you'd open it up to all our competition. Nothing to be gained from it IMO.

But why would we? He wished to be relieved of his duties and we accepted his resignation.

Colleen said it was the longest time they had spent together on holiday as a family, then the Two of them went on holiday with friends, probably made Rooney realise he doesn't really want to spend more time with Colleen.

atherstoneram got a reaction from Elwood P Dowd in Nathan Byrne - Joined Charlotte FC
There are a lot of unknowns at play here.
Who sanctioned the extensions, Rooney couldn't as he had no say in financial matters with the club being in administration.
Would the administrators be in a legal position to implement the extension. Doubtful as their remit is to cut outgoings.
Was the contract extension offered at a lower salary due to a salary cap being in place? In effect their contracts were up at the end of the season.
Was there a clause in their contracts that said they could refuse the extension in case of relegation?
Would have thought that both parties would have to agree on the extension taking place?
As i said a lot of unknowns.

Lots of TUPE analysis but has it been confirmed that their legal gripe is actually TUPE and not just that the club couldnt extend while we were in administration?
-
atherstoneram reacted to rammieib in Nathan Byrne - Joined Charlotte FC
I’m going to keep saying this. This isn’t TUPE. His employer hasn’t changed - it was Derby County Football Club before Clowes owned it and AFTER Clowes owned it.
Same with EVERY football team that gets taken over. The ownership of the club changes but the football club (and specifically the legal identity of the business) remains the same.
So let me give you an example of what TUPE is. For instance Derby County subcontract the cleaning of their offices to a company, let’s say that company is called Mitie. Then DCFC run a tender for the cleaning of their offices and the new company awarded the work is called OCS, those individuals who were employees of Mitie will be TUPE’d over to OCS. Their rights are protected (salary, contracts, benefits etc) but their employer changes.
In this takeover of Derby, the players are not employed by Clowes Development Ltd!
So honestly I have no idea how Buchanan and Byrne are doing this legally.

atherstoneram reacted to i-Ram in Question for the boss
Never met him. Never wanted to meet him. Never want to see him again.
Many of his early interviews and actions were arrogant or egotistical. He came across as smug and I feared the worst very early in his tenure.
That said he never had any intention to crash and burn the club. It was all about wanting to be King of the Hill for him. Even when it was turning pear shape though he came couldn’t accept his mistakes or that he was the problem.
There we are then.
