Considering he's talking to me, that's not the case at all.  Long story short, me, my lad, and a few of his mates waited for the players after the Bolton game for pics, and I waited a bit longer than most for a pic with the gaffer, but I guess he was either still basking in the post victory glow at the bar, or he'd popped off early.  Fast forward to Saturday and my lad's mates were again waiting outside and one of them told him I was a Derby fan of 40 years & I was gutted I'd missed him a couple of weeks ago.  Warney politely asked him for his phone, asked what my name was, and hit Record.  Top bloke...

We decided we would get rid early in the 18/19 season. We even tried to sell him in the January to Mansfield (where he was supposed to stay the full season on loan and would be free in the summer). We then recalled him before realising no one would pay a fee for someone who would be free a few months later, then panic loaned him out to the first taker.

Hardly. I only say that about Germany at 2020 because they failed to get out of their world cup 2018 and 2022 group. The past six years Germany have been about as good as England were between 2010-16. Crap.
England would have won Euro 2004 had Rooney not been injured and we beat Portugal on penalties. I’m sure of that.
It’s not even a hate thing. I thought we were the better side against France in 2022. I just want us to beat a big name and prove we are good enough to win a tournament.
Beating the likes of Ukraine, Sweden, Denmark, Senegal and Colombia is all good but it won’t win us tournaments.

On Ben Foster's pod cast, The Cycling GK, he says that England have won 6 of the last 27 games against teams ranked in the top 10, I haven't fact checked it, but if true that is a pretty poor record, and backs what @Bris Vegas is saying, we need a win against one of the better nations to give everyone (fans and players) the belief that we can win against these teams, and we deserve to be considered a feared top nation, instead of a flat track bully. Foster and Darren Bent also say the same in the same podcast.
