but....the EFL resented very deeply the Mel Morris criticism (interference?) over low media revenues, and his aim to multiply the paltry EFL TV deal from putative competitors to Sky, upon renewal - it made him a target. 
Other clubs chickened out of the breakaway as MM suggested, instead of still picking up crumbs from Sky TV's dog-dish, so  MM became a marked man - and the (new) EFL TV deal remained paltry.
Not making MM out to be a hero, of course he became a destructive ogre - but those same EFL issues remain: low revenues, and the  'parachute' imbalance - which impels owners to go for broke on FFP and P&S.

This is the biggest sign something was going wrong.
He's an active man on twitter, then he's just disappeared. He's a coward in my eyes..... if its gone tits up, money not gone through, whatever, just be a man, explain you've messed up and apologise.
I don't agree with any abuse he or anyone else gets, but if he just said yeah look, my finances have gone to s***, it won't pass AML, whatever, then he'll get a lot more understanding voices. The worst thing you can do after giving it the biggun, is falling off the face of the earth

Well morgan got over 800m so he got funds pay it all off in one go and still have funds to give to spend on players.

So at the moment we know of Ashley and Morgan who are both interested, along with an alleged number of other parties (did I read possibly 8 in total earlier?!) meaning there’s still hope to cling onto. They need to get on with it now (stating the obvious I know), Ashley and Morgan are both listed as very wealthy men with past football ownership experience so they might actually be able to pay.

We need the training ground and stadium run down, the academy neglected, a complete lack of communication with the fans and piss take managerial signings? A soulless match day experience?

Convince yourself that the it was just Newcastle fans delusions about where their team should be finishing that lead them to take against him if you want, as long as you waive your right to complain about a lack of ambition in a few years and some of the above issues repeating here. 
To be fair you've suggested that above to a degree. 
The re-evaluation of expectations never lasts long, it's not the nature of football fans.

Only thing to remember with Mike Ashley is we'll be run how Newcastle were run, not occupying the league positions Newcastle occupied (in my mystical crystal ball). He may have deep enough pockets, especially in league 1, but yes as tight fisted as they come as well.
