I don't post on here too often nowadays, but I'm always reading and keeping up to date. I was totally stunned and saddened to see this topic.
I've always read B4's posts and admired his loyalty, positivity and dedication to his beloved Rams.
I will truly miss him on here. He has set an example to us all to live our lives to the fullest extent possible whatever challenges we face.
    Rip Daniel.

Devastating news. Although I never met Daniel, I feel like we've lost a close family member. I hope both he and his family can feel the love we have for him tonight. He would have loved todays performance. RIP buddy. A legend in every sense of the word. It won't be the same around here without him.

First and foremost, my thoughts are with Daniel's friends and family, I cannot imagine what they are going through right now.
I heard the news last night and it came as a huge shock, B4 as we knew him so fondly by will be a huge loss to the forum.
He was Mr Positivity, Derby County's biggest cheerleader, even during the bad times his positivity would shine through.
I know his Dad was at the game today with a scarf on his seat, whilst we haven't closed the gap on Portsmouth in Daniel's final rallying call on this forum, I'm sure he will be over the moon with the 3 goals and 3 points today.
DCFC Fans will be honouring Daniel in time to ensure he remains in our memories, we will also be contacting the club in due course to see what can be done during a game.
Suggestions are welcomed as we all come to terms with the loss.
    Rest in peace Daniel. ❤️🐏

I have some very sad news this evening.  Daniel (B4) died earlier this week. He was just 38.
As you know, he has been battling numerous health conditions for a long time, but always remained cheerful  and was the most loyal supporter of his beloved Rams, home and away.
He was at the match at Crewe and gave his full support as always.
Daniel leaves behind a grieving dad, mum and sister. Our thoughts go out to them and we only hope they get a little comfort from knowing how well loved Daniel is by all who know him.
Here are a couple of photos that his dad agreed could be shared. I'm sure many of you have others, as Daniel loved a selfie at the game.
David is hoping to arrange a more fitting tribute in time, but for now please raise a glass in his memory and a good Derby win today. I am sure that's what Daniel would have been doing tonight.

Looks like you're trying take offence on behalf of the players without even knowing what's going on in there head.
Without knowing Bird or McGoldrick personally, you are making some wild assumptions and connecting dots to suit this narrative where Paul Warne is this useless turnip that couldn't manage a piss up in a brewery.
The Bird one is ridiculous, The McGoldrick one.....well he scored an awful lot of goals for someone that didn't like the manager.
Yeah he left for Notts County, the club where he started his career at and spoke about wanting to finish his career there.
Using him as a stick to beat Warne with, you're basically calling him a liar for his motivations in moving to Notts County.
Which makes you no better than Warne and this accusation of fake injuries.
The last line in your post is spot on though.
"The best managers know how to use the microphone to motivate their men"
    Absolutely.
Every player is different, some need criticism to start that fire in their belly, others need a cuddle and words of affirmation.
I couldn't sit here and tell you what any of the players need, 1) I have never managed a team of footballers and 2) I don't know any of the players personally.
I would imagine that would apply to most on here as well.
It's ok to not like Warne's football, his tactics, the way he talks, the way he walks and the bobble hats, but come on, all this is scraping the barrel of hate for a guy based on....well nothing really.

So, just to clarify, the man who saved this 139 year institution at the heart of a city and surrounding areas from extinction with his money, re-hired colleagues who’s livelihoods had been taken away, worked to rebuild the reputation of the club off the pitch by doing things like donating “sponsorship” to a national charity, is looking to run the club as sustainably as possible to secure its long term future, invested in the upkeep of the stadium after years of neglect (after buying that back too), worked collaboratively with the EFL to rebuild relationships long soured, continued to invest in the academy, realigned the football side to include the women’s team, and probably a few more things I can’t recall that others might ….has failed to match your personal opinion and expectations that Warne isn’t the right man for us right now and therefore should be sacked, so you’re disappointed in him?

I don’t get why anyone would believe Clowes to be a moron purely based on his decision to run his business how he sees fit.
If people don’t like Warne and want him sacked that’s up to them, other people don’t share that opinion currently, including it seems the one person who can actually make that call. Having a different (and far more informed than ANY of us) opinion doesn’t qualify Clowes as a moron 🤷🏻‍♂️

Lovely.  We can go back in time to get two defenders to put their foot through the ball in 2014, or back to the 12 months we spent 12 million quid on Anya, Butterfield and Blackman on 4 year deals.  We could even stop Frank starting a play off final with a bloke who can't get a game at Burton as our sole attacking option for an hour.
Think this is a fab idea.

This backs up the OP’s point, and I am jumping on it a bit.
You’re right there are some balanced views from all quarters, and there are some unbalance views from a select few. Yes people have a right to criticise the things that they perceive to be wrong, it just doesn’t need to go to the extreme some do or be wrapped up in hyperbole.
Your final point is illustrative of the problem, you’re defending the rights of those who feel valid in their criticism by loosely waving a finger at some mystical group of people who are saying everything is fantastic. I’ve not seen anyone claim things are “fantastic” just not as bleak as others make out. With the truth more than likely being in the middle of those extreme points on the scale.
So calling out the negativity should be frowned upon….as should calling out the positivity. If we’re talking about balance. People can have their opinion, and it doesn’t need to descend into snide comments or tribalism. As you said yourself earlier, we’re all Derby aren’t we?

Sorry to hear you feel like that. Shame that you've been put off posting, I always liked what you posted.
I think a lot of the problem these days is people find it hard to agree to disagree. The internet makes it easy to shout your opinion, and even easier to argue with someone about theirs. It brings people together in their little tribes, which then tends to make people dig their heels in as they have a group of people agreeing with them. It never used to be like that, when all we used to have was our mates in the pub, who would quickly reel each other in when they started talking rubbish.
We're all guilty of it. It's a shame if it makes people feel like they can't take part in discussions though. We are all Derby at the end of the day.

I don't really contribute much these days because the forum lacks fun.
If there are one or two threads regarding the manager and the performances then it's easy to ignore, if you want to, but looking at half a dozen threads with slightly different wording while essentially saying exactly the same thing is off putting in my opinion.
I'm somewhere in the middle when it comes to the manager, but I'm definitely on the side of those that think the current state of this forum, due to the over the top negativity, is not the best.

I got fed up weeks ago
At the end of last night's game the Derby fans were chanting Paul Warnes Black and White Army.
Coming onto the forum immediately afterwards you'd have thought Warne was the devil incarnate the way the same suspects discussed the performance.
There's a definite disconnect and what's so annoying is the constant stream of negativity from those same posters whom revel in picking out the criticisms of the team and manager even when we win as though it's a personal hobby and giving no credence to any positives. That's a skill in itself.

I am still a way off wanting him gone, BUT I really don't understand his need to treat every single team with respect. I'm not being a football snob, I don't think "We're Derby County and we're better than everyone else", but I do think that we should have our style that can be tweaked against the better teams but still allowing us to play to that style. Why couldn't we take the game to Cheltenham yesterday? Why wouldn't we be able to control the centre of the pitch with the players at our disposal AND take them on on the wings? I do think that Warne will get us out of this league, and hopefully this year, but I must confess I wouldn't be devastated on a footballing level if he got the sack tomorrow.
