If only a visionary Englishman saw fit to convert his Soccer ground, then covered and heated it to host a 40k audience for the fight of the Millennium as his opening act?
Season ticket holders get priority, obviously.

I don't think we will see Fury v Joshua in the UK.
The big money is made in the US or Saudi.
Both Hearn and Warren in the past have said that the numbers dont stack up for really big fights compared to the US.
Now that Fury has a decent presence and promoter in America it would make sense for a Vegas hotel to make a big bid knowing there would be 20 - 30k Brits making the trip and spending their money.
If it's Saudi, then Warren and Hearn deserve a kicking.

Yep, seen this mooted but really, please god, no! It'd be about the only way they could remove some of the gleam from what would be the most anticipated fight since the rumble in the jungle. Two UK heavyweights, all the belts, one UK location. That'd be perfect. The Saudis can bloody well make do with the rematch!

Love the little things Fury does. Even when he throws a punch he's thought about the counter punch. Watch when Wilder counter punches and look how Fury has already rolled it or got his shoulder to glance it away. He punches and rolls a defence. Helps being massive that you can hide behind your shoulders. Don't think many if any could do that to Fury.

Not all criticism is bad. A lot of it is part of the job.
The ironic cheers and stuff like that are not helpful. And there's criticism and nastiness.
It's possible to get behind him and criticise him.
I don't think the majority of people that don't rate him are saying anything about his character or off field activities

Anyone see the Hearn interview with IFL? Sound like the convos he's had with Fury's team everyone has a good idea of any terms if they could make the fight. Said they were working on a 60/40 split negotiating the fight the first time before Fury got the ESPN 10 fight deal.
Lets face it, AJ vs Fury will be the biggest fight in Britain ever and maybe in the world, the build up and media coverage would be unprecedented. If these promoters have any sense they'll make this fight and raise the profile of the sport. I saw a piece with Max Kellerman where he said Fury can say no to the rematch? I don't think that is the case.

Dunno about best or worst in the league but Grant and Carson are miles better than Roos. Miles and miles. Maybe we were spoilt. I dunno. Both had their faults but so much better
People say Roos is a great shot stopper. Is he? He's alright but i wouldn't say he makes an unusual amount of surprising saves or has match winning performances like the Fulham game.
I think his kicking is decent.
Crosses and high balls into the box are a massive part of the game. Not being good at this is like being an F1 driver who's really fast in the straight but corners like a tank convoy.
As for ratings... what do you score a point for? A pass, a save, a shot on target?
Is every pass a good pass? Every save equal? Every shot on target a good strike? It's all statistics based isn't it? Not useless but it's hardly proof in writing.
Is there a stat for hospital passes that make it to the target but end in that player losing the ball because he was played into trouble? A stat for punching the ball out to the edge of the box? Or is that a clearance?
Roos does bizarre dives for shots never going in either. Why? Does he not know where his goal is or does he just like diving?
Anyway, I don't actually find either keeper infuriating. Only commenting because I thought being called a good keeper that isn't good at crosses is an oxymoron.

On average maybe and I'm not disagreeing but both of these had lost their place in the squad due to poor form.
Goalkeepers errors generally matter more than outfield players, obviously.

All the chat, excuses and hype is irrelevant, Fury was incredible. Right up there with the finest heavyweight clashes in recent years...for me, the Fury and AJ vs Klitschko bouts were the only fights I've enjoyed more.
Joshua vs Fury should be amazing. I'm hoping for a trio of fights over the next two years, between two of the all time greats.
I think AJ learned a lot from the Ruiz defeat, and clearly has power and technique. I think Fury is the more streetwise fighter though, nasty, horrible, for 12 lots of three minutes. Who wins? duck knows. Can't wait to find out.

What does that all mean. If Roos is the 4th best keeper in the league then my word there must be some horrendous goalies in the Championship

    That's a bad move imo.
He should claim injury or say he's taking a year out. Come back at Christmas and work through some top 10 fighters and make AJ your next mega fight
    Brave move.

    I didn't watch I'll have to check 😄
But unless they're actual baby legs his excuse still makes no sense. I could carry 40lbs that distance without feeling too rough afterwards; and actually carry it too, not have it draped across my body to spread the load. I'm a gamer, the antonym of an athlete.

I wouldn't disagree with that per sé.  It makes perfect sense, and probably how I would approach such a situation as you describe.
But in this instance, (a gang of bullies v one almost defenceless man) I'd have thought the overriding decision "not to get involved" is the almost nightly news reports involving knife crime.  Particularly when considering defending a complete stranger.
Do what you can, yeah.  Raise the alarm.  Create a diversion.  Call the Feds, whatever, but wading in all fists and boots blazing?... I'm not so sure!  It's just too easy to wade in and end up dead nowadays!
There's twits, then there's tw*ts... and they are very difficult to tell apart nowadays... until it's too late!
I'd love to wade in, in this scenario... and I ain't never been a fighter... but I'd need to frisk them for knives first, which kinda puts me at a disadvantage!

The problem is people don't want to get involved for fear about one of the twits making a complaint about them .  I saw a psychological experiment they ran on tv where they made out a young child was lost.  All the women approached the child, took its hand and tried to find the parent's . All the blokes went and asked a women too help them deal with the situation having spotted the child .  Our psyche in dealing with incidents today is very skewed by fear of repercussions and what others think.

Were people stood by watching this poo?
It's weird innit that these little bankers are so gangsta and 'ard that they attack a random bloke.
Proper gangster poo. Right laugh. Nobody will mess with this squad. They're like the bloods or Crips or something. Definitely think they have proven themselves a formidable outfit.
I'm sure if we drop them in certain areas of Notts, Manchester, Liverpool or Birmingham they would behave exactly the same way and their little ********* wouldn't go 50p/20p. Nope.

Yeah he just said he'd had injuries in camp etc. Just stuff that's probably true because I imagine Fury had little niggles etc. I bet most fighters pick up injuries
But if he wants to tell himself that he lost because of a bad camp then that's understandable. He brought what he could and got beat.
But blaming referees, suits and the towel being thrown in.... those are "excuses"

Argh, Deontay man, you'd just kinda earned a bit of respect and now you come out with this old baalocks. Maybe next time do your ring walk in a spandex thong bruv, I'm sure that would have you thrashing Fury no bother 🙄

I see its being reported Wilder has triggered the rematch clause.
I understand why he's done it, but how depressing for the majority of fans.
Been there, done that. At the moment I cant think of anything less inspiring than another round of pre fight hype, the same pre fight analysis and invariably the same result. It was beginning to get a bit overkill in the run up to last Saturday.
There's also a risk Fury might be a bit bored for fight 3 as well.
