  2. Mass graves and bodies with their hands tied?

Complex. Self defence. Hamas made us do it. Iran made us do it. UN are in on it. UNWRA is Hamas. Peace protesters are Hamas/Russian sponsored. Human Shields. Misfired Hamas rockets. 40 beheaded babies. Er... here's a digital mock up of some tunnels. Proportional response. Holocaust. Disputed land. Ancestors land.

    Phew. That was close

GP less exciting that the sprint was, Max won esily but some stuff happened behind him.

Lando got P2 with a good drive and some help from the safeth car, Perez was P3 after a pit stop under the safety car put him behind Norris and Leclerc. P4 Leclerc, P5 Sainz, P6 George, P7 Alonso, P8 Piastri, P9 Lewis "working his notice" Hamilton, P10 Hulkenberg

Most excitment was fighty Fernando at the start and at the end for P7.

1st safety car was Bottas' engine giving up, 2nd was after the restart where K-mag punted Tsunoda and Stroll rammed into the back of Ricciardo. Bad day from the cashgrab arbies tem. Typically for 2024 Danny ric, he was looking OK and got took out, but it was good to see him back to some sort of form, although to head off the DR3 stans, he would've had to pit again having run medium medium and not pitted under the safety cars, Yuki was pretty off it all weekend though.

Also typical of 2024, Hamilton spent the whole time whinging on the radio.

Zhou was enjoyed by the crowd but wasn't particually quick.

    A point for Haas.

Alpine's Gasly tried to set off without one of his wheels on properly and fired the tyre into his mechanic (who is OK) - but it's a bungle from them in a pretty hilariously bad season.

Is it unfair to expect Perez to actually do something that might just slightly be considered trying to come 1st?

It seemed to me right from the off it was operation defend and I very much enjoyed watching Alonso get by. Perez launch seemed an entirely defensive one?

Did feel sorry for the baby red bulls. Stroll was on his phone while everyone else was focused so ended up airlifting Ric and Tsunoda's admittedly poor weekend was topped off by Haassassination.

The penalty on Sergeant was too harsh.

This, what is racist today post reminds me why I hardly ever read this thread anymore.

If you disagree with my opinion on this conflict you must be a racist attitude is exactly why no solution will be found any time soon.

    Over and out

Oh dear. Another person in a diva strop with no idea of context or the fact it was a joke aimed at a person who always claims racism.

Why do people feel the need to tell you they're not talking to you anymore? Wtf? Am I meant to beg you to come back? Please don't leave the thread. The thread needs you.

Nobody has even talked about racism for the majority of the thread and your last Antisemitism post was ignored. The irony here is funny. Man who's angered that people are easily offended is easily offended.

Bye Mariah. You'll be missed. x

I’ve lost a lot of interest in boxing since the decline of the welterweight division. The heavyweight scene peaked interest for a while but since Saudi came about the prized fighters are just holding everything up.

Boxing was better when Eddie was just UK based and we had decent UK shows.

His expansion into the US and move away from Sky affected UK boxing in a bad way and then the Saudi money has made it worse, despite the Matchroom/Queensbury love-in.

The Welterweight division was THE place to be wasn't it? Had that period where it was just stacked. The top ten on BoxRec, you could throw any of them together for a blockbuster. Never really thought about it, but yeah... It's a shame that's dropped off a bit.

I enjoy the HW since the Klitschko domination is over. It's good that the Saudis are making it happen in their dead events but I think all the politics killed the excitement a touch.

The nonsense between Wilder/Fury Vs Whyte/AJ was literally years of talk. Just tick over fights because the big one is around the corner. If it wasn't for the Saudis they'd still be talking bs.

Wilder called out Fury after the Klitschko fight. That was 2014(?). 10 years later he's fought Fury, Ortiz and Parker that are actual big fights for him.

Since beating Klitschko,in 10 years Fury has fought Wilder and about to fight Usyk.

The amount of bs between Hearn, Warren, Arum etc... boooooring

my missus wants me to watch Breaking Bad cos apparently its the 'best thing ever' but I see how many episodes there are and 'nah...'

She's right. In our house we have so many TV shows that we give up on even when we are enjoying them. Narcos, Peeky Blinders, Ozark, Witcher, Boardwalk, Lost, Walking Dead, The Tourist, House of Cards, Vikings... Honestly, so many more that we just trail off them when busy and end up losing interest

Breaking Bad was one that we would make time for. After a brief dip in Series 1 (that is part of the story) once it gets going again it doesn't stop. So good.

I don't know if anything can live up to the hype Breaking Bad has. But I'm with your Mrs. Best thing ever.

I'm starting Fallout this weekend. Was a fan of Fallout 3. The Mrs has no idea what to expect and when she saw the trailer I don't think yet another apocalyptic survival adventure excites her. She says there's too many. I say not enough. Could end up going solo on it

Have to say the Queensbury vs Matchroom malarkey doesn't really fire my imagination. Hard lines for Nick Ball. What a fookin terrible call that was against Vargas. Really felt for Ball who well and truly worked him over IMO.

Yeah, I think the Warren v Hearn thing is for the loud minority who argue like they're football teams and you have to be loyal to one promoter. Very weird.

Fair point, but at the risk of quibbling that wasn't exactly stated. Implied, sure.

I feel like we shut people and ideas down far too readily these days, and this is another example. See Dawn French's comments yesterday around JK Rowling.

Having open conversations is fine. So long as we are willing to have open conversations about everything.

The problem with some people is they can't tolerate criticism of Israel without making accusations of deep Antisemitism. But then they want the freedom to have these open conversations.

What's wrong with talking about Muslim men coming into Europe from the Middle East into Europe (can't remember the Douglas Murray quote) that "they're unworthy of" and the dangers of Islamists?

Well, nothing. Provided you are comfortable to sit down and talk about Israel without screaming antisemite.

Rachel Riley accused social media of being a cesspit of Antisemitism. She photoshopped the picture of Corbyn arrested in SA protesting against Apartheid. She is isn't shy accusing people of being racist/antisemtic. Yet gets to pick what's racist and what isn't (see the British Jews refusing to play British Arabs comment). There's a whole history of double standards with her. So she doesn't want an open conversation. Neither does Douglas Murray.

There was an interview on Sky between Owen Jones and some Israeli influencer. At one point he said to Owen Jones "why do you care so much". This has been the smear of Pro Palestinians for a long time. Implying or saying outright that it's motivated by Antisemitism. Even aimed at "self hating Jews".

Imagine, if this was a story about  something to do with a banker. And a celebrity jumped to the conclusion that the greedy banker was probably a Jew. She wouldn't call that a conversation starter. She'd be right too.

And she didn't even apologise. She basically said she was wrong this time but usually....

Open conversations? Fine. But open across the board. Talk about the links between certain crimes and race/religion if that's somehow helpful.

The hypocrisy of accusing the West of having deep rooted Antisemitism while wanting the freedom to open fire on Muslims. That's what separates Murray and Riley from, I assume, your view.

  10. I really really hate some ads enough that I would refuse the product if it was free.

Huel. I get that ad whenever I use my phone.

You know adverts that show middle aged professional men doing a rap? Car adverts tend to do it. What year was it that somebody first laughed about an out of touch white man getting down with the kidz.

What??! Liverpool players are using Nivea? That's why their skin looks so great on Match of The Day!! It all makes so much sense. Oh, look how much fun they're having rubbing it in! While in full kit too. Add to basket

Actually can't wait for this fight. The Saudi events are sterile AF in terms of atmosphere, but yeah, they definitely get the top fighters together. Not only that, they've even got Hearn and Warren rimming each other senseless too, so there's clearly absurd money sloshing about the trough now and neither of the Russians are fancy Dans anyway, so they won't care about any lack of Vegas style pizazz. Shame though as who can possibly ever forget Wilder rocking the cross-dressing Black Panther look?

It's got potential to be an all time great fight hasn't it. I'm not sure it will capture the general public. I hope so.

Have you seen Frank holding hands with his excellency? Old Brick Top. Turki's prison pocket! What money does, eh?

Wilder is team matchroom for this Queensbury v Matchroom. Up against Zhang. Good fight that but probably more to lose than gain.

    Hrgovic v Dubois.

And Nick Ball is back fresh from being robbed. What a surprise, it's not in a rematch. Rey Vargas doesn't want that again after all

So I googled. It wasn't racist. It was ill directed. There are a significant number of Islamic fundamentalist out there who want you and I dead, the more brutally the better.  It's not racist to acknowledge the fact.

At this point I could point out it was a joke because for starters it would be Islamophobic. Then I could go through the history of Rachel Riley wildly making accusations of Antisemitism while just speaking the simple truth about Muslims (the argument works the same for Douglas Murray and Julia Hartley Brewer)

But I can't really be bothered. Yesterday you wasn't happy I stayed into politics by mocking Lord Cameron and today it's a mild Rachel Riley joke that wouldn't even be good enough for a Ricky Gervais sketch. To be honest I thought it was as good as Crewtons very decent Iran diversity board comment. Guess not.

I'll stick to plastering and moaning about genocide/ethnic cleansing

He isn’t, but like he said, it’s a much used word to close down an argument, like racist, fascist, etc.
