People whining on about how Taylor at Lincoln had a good game against Cashin. So what? I saw Ray Crawford for Ipswich absolutely take McFarland apart in a 4-0 defeat at Portman Road. Roy looked like someone pulled off the street to make up the numbers. Every player has bad games, even the so called superstars of the Premier League.

Some of the reactions on here and twitter last night were beyond a joke to be honest.
"No prem club is going to trust Warne with their young players"
"Max Bird probably left because he cant stand Warnes football"
"Warne can't attract players, the club are lying to us"
    "Warne hasn't got the contacts"
"The club said we had money, a good budget, this is a lie"
    Amongst other things.
Yet if you take time to wait to hear the reasons and let the club have their say. We were two young strikers first choices, but unfortunately the clubs in question could not get cover and therefore wouldn't let them go. But apparently we have a manager who cant attract these young players because no premier league manager would trust Warne.
Max Bird was leaving anyway. It really sounds like even if we had got promoted this season, he would have gone. He has been here for a long time. He wants a fresh challenge. Simple as that. No ulterior motives, no hate of the manager, he just wants a fresh challenge.
A deal agreed with a striker, all pretty much done, till at 8pm the gaffer of the club in question pulls the plug. What can we do about that?
We knew of every striker available, we left no stone unturned. But we just couldn't get one done. Despite trying our best and essentially having one agreed until the plug gets pulled at the 11th hour.
We clearly had a but of money left to bring one in, but through no fault of the manager or the club, it has not happened.
Yet yesterday the club, the manager got dogs abuse for failing to get a striker in.
Washington and Waghorn will be back in 3 weeks. You have Barkhuizen that can play through the middle, NML if needed. In the next 5 games we have one midweek game, so the others are all a full week apart. Plenty of times for Collins to recover.
We have ended the window with a better midfield than when we started & wingers that would be the envy of most clubs in this league.
Lets get behind them now and stop looking to pin blame and point the finger at.

It's almost like Cashin is barely enough to order a pint, and has a full career of learning the game ahead of him.

How about, now I know this comes out of left field, how about instead of slagging the club off we get behind them? Now I know it's a bit of a radical idea for Rams fans, but let's give the management team the benefit of the doubt for once and see how that goes? However, if we aren't 4-0 up by half time on Saturday we can give them dog's abuse. Sound fair?

Sorry mate I would disagree here.
Forsyth was our only left back on the books in the summer. He signed a one year deal and most agreed he would have been a good squad player to have. We then signed Elder, who pretty much we all agreed on that it was a really good signing. 28 years old, won league one previously, had 10 assists from left back. Unfortunately for him he was injured in pre season and missed most of it. Missing pre season is massive for any player as they are playing catch up.
How do we know that he wouldn't get infront of Forsyth of he'd been fit and firing all season? We don't. He's clearly plenty good enough.
    His other signings.
Wilson - Has potential to be really good.
Bradley - Everyone was absolutely buzzing when we signed him. Didn't start great. Made a couple of mistakes (which is all you need to do in our fans cases before we write someone off) and he's unfortunate that Cashin and Nelson have been so good. We probably signed him expecting Cashin to go.
Fornah - Definitely has potential. Still young. Hardly any experience. But there's definitely a player in there. Sometimes to laid back but he'll learn.
Washington - A player Warne trusts. Just starting to see glimpses (the go against Northampton) of what he could do at this level, getting up to speed. Then he's injured on international duty.
Ward - Obviously with 352 in mind. But now he just looks like he's surplus to requirements. I might be wrong. But I just don't see him getting a game or even on the bench soon.
Waghorn - Steady played. No world beater. Cheap, convenient and will still contribute when he's back fit.
Nyambe - Brilliant signing. Really good defender.
Vickers - A keeper. Not really don't anything wrong.
TJJ - Massive risk we felt we could take. Obviously looked at his ability and thought we couldn't get much better if we can get him fit. It's not worked out.
Embleton - Can barely judge this. He did his thigh taking a corner in training.
Some signings don't work out as you hope. It's the way it goes.
But we don't seem to give anyone a chance before we want them gone or say they are s****. I've seen some having a go at CBT already after playing 80 minutes of football for us.
I've just seen Brighton are letting Dahoud go. A midfielder they signed from Dortmund in the summer. Clearly not worked out it happens.
We're a league one club, with hardly any money, working to restrictions. We can only do what we can do.

BobdeBilder reacted to Rich84 in Dajaune Brown - loan to Gateshead until end of season
Amazing how everyone knows how he's performing in training better than the coaching staff, because thats what they will be making their decisions on, yes he looks decent in the age group levels because of his physicality,  just as we've had in the past, Ball anyone?!? Or Whittaker more recently where his physical advantage was pace at youth level, what did most do to him when he was thrown in?
But without that edge he's looked like he's been struggling whenever he had an opportunity,  didn't he start in one of the cup games and had a shocker? And that's not even against regular L1 players....
I've also wanted to see us bring thru the academy lads, but maybe this opportunity to play against men regularly for a month may be just what he needs to be a viable option for our run in where we can recall him in 4 weeks...

I've been on the lash all day in Belper so bear with...not a punch or a kick thrown 😉
Were there innocents hurt...yes there was, Far too many that weren't reported as it was a common occurrence, Heysel, Hillsboro, Bradford saw some horrendous deaths due to Fans, Police and old stadia...who's to blame?
Danny Dyer oh please...a manufactured programme to put him in the limelight of being a "hard case" there were a good few from the Neptune who didn't want the DLF on his programme but some of the more high profile DLF crowd won the day...it was embarrassing...imo. Books were written of embellished journeys through the lives of "football hooligans" the Brimsons from Watford were the 1st to put pen to paper, They looked the part but as they say "the pen is mightier than the sword" both a pair of fantasists.
Life is not worth losing for a game of football...it's mind boggling that this could happen, But lives are lost every weekend in towns up and down the Country...age teaches you one thing...to learn and listen to others, What happened 30-40-50 years ago through football was something we did as others did, Nothing to be proud or ashamed of it was a life that some chose to follow.
I'll end with this...I loved the 70s-80s made so many friends that you could re float the Titanic with them all, Today...I'm just an old fella that's still has his memories...and I'll share them with anyone who would like to hear them.
Enjoy your weekend of what's left...I will ☺️

Any of the oldun's on here go to QPR September 67? That was a nightmare. They were flying top of the 2nd division and had Rodney Marsh playing a blinder every week. We rocked up and played them off the park, winning with a goal from the King. Anyway, the coaches had been parked right outside Loftus Road and when we got back to them there was a battle going on. Bricks, bottles, anything to hand was raining down on the coaches. Managed to dodge across the road and board a coach, ( wrong one but by this time no one gave a crap. Eventually plod arrived an managed to get some kind of order when two big b****** QPR fans got on dripping with blood demanding to know who threw bricks at them. We pointed out that the coach had no opening windows and that their own fans had done it. Our coach made it home but two or three others didn't. I was 15 and just about s******* myself, but it was fun, sort of.
    Sorry it's so long.

That feeling as you're walking to the ground,(home or away) and you hear chanting from a large mob down another side street, but you can't quite make out what they're saying. Then relief, or oh s***, as they exit the street in front of you. Certainly got the adrenalin flowing.
