Yes I live in Stowmarket and have been taking my son to watch Ipswich a few times in the last year. I always buy a train ticket to get to Portman Road but have never had my ticket checked on match day. 
I've been talking to my 8 year old son recently about where we are going to sit for this fixture with him having split loyalties. The change of day/time to a Friday evening has decided it. He's going to Bed and I'm sitting in the away end. ?. I haven't told him that yet though. ??

Walked in to Pride Park today and welled up. Strange how the fear of losing something that has been a constant in your life affects you. Happy to be back & impressed with the team & love the retro strip.

Whilst it’s great to have Curtis resigning for another year, Cashin has shown great potential, it’s rare to see a centre back break through from the academy at such a young age and stick his name on the team sheet as he did last season.
Really think we have a player on our hands here which we need to get tied down to a long term contract as soon as we can.

Yes to all of that. I found it particularly tough to deal with as the timing mirrored my dads sudden decline with dementia. The day we went into admin was the first "come now please" urgent call from my mum. Derby was mine and dad's thing together and unbelievably bad Derby news usually coincided with bad dementia days. Dad is now stable, settled and as happy as he will be in lovely residential care right near us and he still loves to chat Derby although often muddled. He has told the care staff some horrendous tall stories about it all! Attendance obviously reduced a lot last year in the circumstances (hence my total annoyance at those making comments about part-time fans - just count your blessings you can attend when you want) but was so happy to get season tickets on the first day of sale. Really excited about the season ahead.

The sad thing is that local businesses don’t have the clout they used to have, they are too busy fighting to survive rather than being community focused. (Not all of course ! ) The crazy world of football finance steers clubs towards the dross who have our money to burn. Betting companies, Payday lenders and Lord knows what. 
 
I am old fashioned enough to think your football club should be sponsored in the greater part by the royalty of local industry. We have Beer, Jet engines, Railway trains, Caravans, property developers, motor traders and manufacturers. Some of those are involved of course it looks like football has to be promoted by something other than these now , it offends me just a little bit although I am pragmatic enough to know it’s part of life. 
 
I am old, out of date, definitely stuffy and opinionated, but I’d rather have a local scrap merchant sponsoring us than a betting company which regardless of morality is in my view an unworthy endeavour that adds little to the world 
 
 

Macauley Bonne as our pacey striker. He works his nuts off. Started off really well at Ipswich last season but had a quiet 2nd half of the season with the change of manager. 

It will be my daughter's first ever game. A new fan for a new start.  ⚽

I'm a Suffolk based Ram and have been to about 7 or 8 Ipswich games with my lad this season and the atmosphere at Portman Rd has been the best it's been in years!!! 
They've had an American takeover who's pumped in money to invest in the squad, and a new young coach/manager, Mckenna from Man United whos highly thought of. 
The attendances were up in the mid 20Ks all season and there was a real feel good factor in the games I attended. 28k vs Sunderland just before Christmas when Covid was more of an issue.
There's a group of fans (ultras) who have sat in a section in the Bobby Robson (North Stand) and created various banners and displays as well as making good noise throughout that has really helped the rest of the stadium get a spring in their step too. 
Hopefully we'll be on that same path to recovery soon. ?⚽?

I feel that we need to change the midfield as I don't think bird and bielik works. Bielik is by far our best player but how when he had shinnie next to him shinnie used to run and over the midfield to let bielik control the game, where as bird there's not enough running in him and very predictable, I'm not slating bird he's been very reliable for us this season but I just feel if we got thompson is there to give us the energy it would work alot better for us

Did we tell porkies about the covid outbreak?
He then mentioned that he doesn't know how the U23 players are going to get games now as he can't afford them to play in the U23s because he can't afford them getting injured. Players like McDonald, Brown, Watson etc. Who are classed as professional. 
Also said Borkovic didn't deserve to be in the squad. But he's had to bypass the U23s and find someone eligible to play.
What a sorry state of affairs.
