Gibson will appeal it and he will be unable to play for 9 months while the EFL panel assembles and deliberates....¬†ūü§£

I’m hoping this whole situation will lead to fans having a reset in their expectations and demands about the club going forward.   We’ve nearly gone bust, we may yet still go bust although that’s now (for the moment anyway) thankfully looking less likely.

First and foremost now above all else we need a club that lives within its means and is sustainable as much as it can be. If we buy players they have to be the right players. For those slating the academy, if we can keep it together it will really come to fruition in the next 2-3 years, Bird Buchanan Sibley Knight are all potential premier league players, Stretton Williams McDonald Ebosele Watson Thompson Brown all look excellent prospects and there’s probably others behind them that I have missed.
The academy needs to be the centre of what we do alongside sensible recruitment to a plan and a strategy. This is key any money we spend we have to do it with a view of making a return on that investment, this can only be done by data driven targeting of players with right attributes age and potential. We won’t make money in all cases we will lose money in some cases but with a clear plan and strategy behind signings we should have a net gain.
They also need to support a set style of play, giving us the chance to progress year on year and build success sustainably. Managerial recruitment also needs to be done on this basis, if we sack a manager we appoint another one who will follow the same plan .
We need to move away from boom and bust, it might mean more seasons of mediocrity than success but at least wed have a club at a relatively high level in the pyramid. In the meantime, hopefully, the premier league will listen to the EFL and work with them under an independent regulator to reform the game and make it a more level playing field.

    Exactly my thoughts .
Fans are still expecting a promo push either in league 1 or championship . I would think in league 1 we can possibly just . But in the championship to be a level based club living within their means there isnt a chance of a promotion push unless where incredibly good in buying in low value excellent players .
What this has brought home to me is just how unfair the championship is i guess ive always known it but its taken Derby poss going under to properly understand it and for it to sink home . I do have a little bit of sympathy for Mel chasing the dream he has had to . But not at the expense of how he has now pulled out and left Derby possibly going bust .Even though i secretly think he knows a buyer is there for certain and thats why its been done .

Personally i dont want gse or rush , we have been there and done it ,lets not go back they have had there chance . Only if there is no other option would i go with this .

On another note regarding vendetta and the efl , do some people not think radio Derby didnt push hard enough if there isnt a vendetta to explain why no accountant on the 2nd sitting . He didnt truly explain that properly at all . Seemed to me to give a half blustered reply and radio Derby didnt press it again .Personally thought they were able to pass that off to easily .For me it still has not been properly explaind . To add fuel to fire its obvious gibson is pushing buttons in the fact he is now trying to sue Derby . Is there nothing we can do to complain to authorities to bring this to light . Newspapers seem scared to even report it .

Has radio Derby approached Mr Gibson for an interview so he can explain his actions and why the constant attack .Surely if he is whiter than white we might understand the man rather than think he is just a petty chairman that has a beef and cant let things go .

One thing puzzles me .Do we want owners that just steady the ship ? . If i remember right unders gse didnt we use to moan alot about lack of funding and buying players , everything just became stale ? . Or do you want owners with pots of money who will prob gamble and again put us in the same pickle . The problem is as time goes by fickle fans forget and posts start appearing of nigel clough type football its boring , i would sooner us have a real go and go bust bar watch this drivel .
It seems where caught on a double edged sword , hoping the fans now understand what we are in for .

Nope im a bit in that camp , you never know whats being discussed that cant be discussed . But it will come out in the wash wont it , all we can do now is wait for the required time to lapse and see what leaks out over time .
There could be gentlemans ageements in place already with someone you never know .
My points deduction im expecting though is -12 for admin and -4 for the 4 million loss .The -4 being implemented this year or next whenever those poor little efl chiefs decide to hit us some more . If we get more than a total of -16 i will be a little shocked i must admit .

Personally think Mel is correct on his covid argumement and the tv rights .This has obviously upset a few big fish in the efl , which has also meant he wasnt liked and watched closely he didnt want to tow the line and they dont want to be told what to do . His biggest plus is why no accountant on the 2nd independant panel , neither radio Derby or any newspapers are reporting this as odd behaviour from the efl . As it does look very much like a stitch up . His downfall is the stadium sale although tech legal it was legally cheating and losing far to much money on players and managers the club could afford . So he has gambled at the clubs livelihoods expense .A gamble that can lead to liquidation whichever way you look at it that puts mel on a par with Maxwell . Sorry to say i liked Mel but on quite a few occasions he has gambled to much or thought he was to clever . You need a safer pair of hands on the tiller even if that makes for mundane transfer windows and football .

The biggest thing for me was the reveal that on the 2nd sitting of the panel judging our accounts we had no accountant on it like the first time who was totally happy with how Derby did it .
Do you not think  on its own that this stinks and certainly shows the EFL are not giving Derby a fair crack of the whip , i happen to think that what Mel said about how Derby have judged their player values as perfectly o.k .This in my opinion should be abled to be judged at a much higher level than it has been as i think deffo Mel has upset people in the EFL before this and they have been out to get him no matter what the cost ( Stevie gibson comes to mind ) .
Im not saying im sticking up for Mel as he should really have batted on a straight wicket and he has tried to bowl a few to many googlies .
But the fact remains on the fact of who sat on the 2nd sitting if its true absolutely stinks and doesnt put the EFL in a very good light at all.
Surely Derby as a club can take this further . .

Another thing i agreed with him on covid has hit the bigger clubs harder that are pushing to match the clubs that have come down with parachute payments you can see his side of this surely . The things he has done wrong for me is the stadium sale to himself that stinks even if tech legal . Also wasted millions on unwise decisions on players and managers to the point he cant fund this anymore . When you add onto this he has plainly put noses out of joint on tv rights ( i happen to think he is correct by the way ) and this has caused the big wigs at the efl to come gunning for him . Derby ought to be able to challenge who sat on the 2nd independant panel judging our accounts , the fact it lacked an accountant like the first time stinks of an efl set up , this should go to a higher court of law .

To be fair being a Derby fan after the golden period has really been quite awful with only a few highs all to quickly swept away with lows .
I really dont get how clubs like Aston Villa and now it seems the most unfancied midlands club in Leicester City stay up there and achieve the success they have and we wallow around constantly in the doldrums . We have the fanbase, we have the ground , we have the training area , we have had chairman with moderate amounts of money . Just why does it go so wrong why is there no even keel .How we are not an Everton or an Aston villa .For me Derby should be always at least be a half way up the league prem team having some brief times of maybe top 6 now and again .
How is it so mismanaged and messed up . I mean come on how the hell are leicester where they are jesus there nothing more than a corner shop selling cobs rather than a shopping in Harrods . I know i sound horrible but just how have they done it and we have messed up with what we have had at our disposal .Even a messed up club like Newcastle have come down twice and shown just how easy it is to go back up straight away .
At the moment im totally sick of football and in particular Derby disappointing County , im fed up with them . So fed up im not even now bothering listening or following the match on a sat afternoon , i know we are down and most fans are just putting themselves through more agony watching us go down . Why has Morris got like this it doesnt add up .
The brief respite of England in the euros was a welcome distraction and because of my lack of interest i didnt watch england till the 1/4 finals , but when you get proff footballers take penalties like that you have to wonder about the state of the game .Its easily summed up for me .
It is down to sky and to much money in the game , players generally dont care and pretend to like the club they play for , Money has ruined this game and its not a poor mans sport anymore at all .
For me its all rather similiar to people in life right now .Just after the war people were close helping each other saying hello to each other basically pulling together , fast forward nearly 100 years and now your scared to walk through a town centre for if a group of youths set on you and video on there phone . There is alot wrong in life and its going to get worse .Morals in sport and life have gone through the window .

Ive long thought that if we were a London club or based around Manchester liverpool area we would be huge . Players like the night life its alot easier to attract top players to major citys . But Leicester have bucked that trend of thought for me , im gobsmacked at how a poxy little midlands club have achieved what they have .Lets be honest hand on heart , i have always looked at leicester as an also ran a 2nd rate club behind both us and forest .
