I think pw is concerned about a repeat of the end of last season, jaded players and not enough cover. With the club having one of the highest salary budgets in League one, is it the case that players must be released/loan ended/sold on, before more players can be brought in so that's no breach of financial fair play rules for league one clubs. We have a lot of players but how many of them are currently worth the salary levels we are paying given that the club has one of the largest, if not the largest salary budgets in League one. I assume this effects January transfers

In Peterboroughs case its all about Ivan Toney, they receive 30% of the sell on fee. Assume that's 80 million or more.

Signing some of these ... Blackett-Taylor, Charlie Wyke, Sinclair Armstrong, Marvin Ekpiteta and Kenny Dougall might improve our promotion chances

Why does pw get his formations and tactics wrong so often and then try to make excuses. In the past we employed a football tactics analyst, are we not doing that now?

The upcoming January transfer window presents an opportunity for our club to make a strong push to sign Jonson Clarke-Harris from Peterborough United, potentially hijacking Bristol Rovers' pursuit of the striker. Clarke-Harris has a proven track record in League One, having scored 26 goals in 36 appearances for Peterborough last season and over 30 goals in the 2020-21 season. While he has had a slower start this season with four goals in 14 appearances, his past performance at the League One level makes him a compelling target for our club.

We can't let this win mask the things we need to fix. The real test is how pw responds in the months to come. One win after a run of poor form does not exonerate the manager or make up for the points already dropped.
