6 years at beat for top 10 ?maybe a decade that's the most pessimistic thing I've ever heard!
The Championship is not that high quality, I think after promotion we will need a season to consolidate and 15th or so would be acceptable but that is year 3, year 4 and 5 we definitely should be top 10.  In the Championship under Cocu we were top 10 and bang average,  only way we struggle for that is very poor recruitment or Clowes putting no money in.
I won't be happy for such a lack of ambition, if Clowes was happy for years in the bottom half of the championship I'd want new owners in quick sharp, I don't think that will be the case.

Just because you may not want to discuss the thread does not mean it can be ignored.The Club is being run in a proffesional manner, supporters are relieved ,we need a manager who can deliver success ! Nearly winning ,nearly being promoted is not an option.

Agreed no need for another thread but if you think DC won't be seriously looking at dismissing Warne if we finish 8th, I'm sure you are mistaken.

Might be a controversial opinion, but we've recovered. We're no longer in danger of going bust. We'll not get back to where we were with Mel without serious spending, and that's just not gonna happen.
If you class recovery as championship football, I'd disagree. We're where we deserve to be on footballing merit now. We can't just blame administration forever.

Doesn't help that we don't pass the ball properly through the lines and Collins isn't great at linking with. Under a different manager could be so much better. 
Forget the guff people say about how different managers haven't rated him, Rooney didn't but he likes grafters like Warne and like Warne is hardly a manager with top pedigree, Rosenior barely got a chance ,Cocu rated him in the main but he had injuries and also was young at the time coming through.

The only time I want to see PW in a suit is at the job centre in Rotherham. 

It's league 1 and we look like a bang average league 1 side with a few quality players like Cashin and Waghorn making us look decent for this league at times. Fans aren't going to be happy with anything but dominance most weeks in this dog s*** league the performances alot of the time lack control and  show us to be at the same level of dross as your teams like Burton and Cheltenham we never dominate only out finish and show more in the final third sometimes.
We are closer to non league level than Premier league under Warne .

Even if he gets us out of L1 (which based on current performances ain't happening) does anyone trust him to keep us in the Championship? He gives L1 teams far too much respect, imagine what he'd be like in the Championship.
He's at the wrong club. We need something else.

The trouble is warne is turning us into a proper league 1 club. Gets rid of the younger prospects. Buys his old  journeymen mates. No skill. No flair, no tactics. No idea. we’ll be stuck down here for ever

Thought that with our near extinction there would be now some vestige of positivity, new owner, new manager, new start.

Warne is telling the players to play that way. He isn't interested in actual football.

It’s simple. He’s an average div 1 manager. One pace. He’ll get us promoted is he’s lucky. He won’t if he’s not.  Problem is, we’re a big club in this division and we should have an above average manager.

I'm not sure why he'd tell fans Sibley is the best finisher in training if he didn't believe it.
I think that's a tad harsh on Sibley. He broke through to the first team under Cocu and finished the 19/20 season as a regular. He then began the next season still as a first team regular until an injury. By the time he was back up to fitness, Rooney was in charge and he certainly wasn't a big fan of Sibley. He was in and out during Roesnior's short spell, but was then very much a regular (albeit as a left back most of the time) during Warne's 1st season. Warne trusted him in an unfamiliar position for the majority of last season, but now seemingly isn't keen when he's got the chance to use him in his best role where he would excel. It's just puzzling.

We should sack him , he makes Sam Allardyce look like a sophisticated French manager who has wine and baguette for lunch. Plays caveman football and when we beat teams it's mostly down to our players like Barkeuizen and Cashin for example being better than players who are not much above non league players in 1vs 1 situations and on the ball and players like Waghorn being a level above at this low level. 

There will be people saying 'don't overreact', 'it's just one game', 'needs more time' if (more likely when) we are still in this position in January. Or April. Or next January come to that.
I'd love things to come good, but the idea that doubts about Warne are 'knee-jerk' with all the evidence we now have are ridiculous.

If this is a midtable squad then Warne is currently overachieving.
No way are either of those statements true. Not in a million years.
This league is gash. 
Wednesday who hit over 90 points last season can’t buy a win in the Championship while Plymouth are beginning to see the gulf.
 

I think more accurately we could be doing a lot better but could be doing worse.
We've been very unconvincing over the first quarter of the season.

My take is if Warne hadn't got lucky inheriting McGoldrick last season we'd have been mid table mediocrity which is roughly where we're on track for this season. But he's probably got the wage bill of a top 2 side even with the restrictions. Nowhere near good enough. 

Can always support another team mate.
