As usual I think there is unnecessary panic in here. As far as I can tell we only have three problems: the manager isn’t good enough, the players aren’t good enough and we have no money. Sort these three things out and we’ll be fine.

Why the humble pie? Either Warne proves us wrong or Warne proves us right. Either way we all want what is best for the club.
I certainly won't feel guilty for my opinion that Warne is unlikely to be the right man to take Derby forward long term. I believe that we as a club have a higher ambition than his coaching ability and footballing philosophy will be able to achieve.
Today was a good win and a good performance, so well done to Warne and the team. It still doesn't change my opinion on the above.

That's so awful to hear, especially when he has not been on lately.  I remember seeing his account when I read the first forum when I was only 8 years old first supporting Derby and was always a well known and well liked member. Didn't really know him in person but always seemed very positive and well spoken of.

First and foremost, my thoughts are with Daniel's friends and family, I cannot imagine what they are going through right now.
I heard the news last night and it came as a huge shock, B4 as we knew him so fondly by will be a huge loss to the forum.
He was Mr Positivity, Derby County's biggest cheerleader, even during the bad times his positivity would shine through.
I know his Dad was at the game today with a scarf on his seat, whilst we haven't closed the gap on Portsmouth in Daniel's final rallying call on this forum, I'm sure he will be over the moon with the 3 goals and 3 points today.
DCFC Fans will be honouring Daniel in time to ensure he remains in our memories, we will also be contacting the club in due course to see what can be done during a game.
Suggestions are welcomed as we all come to terms with the loss.
    Rest in peace Daniel. ❤️🐏

I have some very sad news this evening.  Daniel (B4) died earlier this week. He was just 38.
As you know, he has been battling numerous health conditions for a long time, but always remained cheerful  and was the most loyal supporter of his beloved Rams, home and away.
He was at the match at Crewe and gave his full support as always.
Daniel leaves behind a grieving dad, mum and sister. Our thoughts go out to them and we only hope they get a little comfort from knowing how well loved Daniel is by all who know him.
Here are a couple of photos that his dad agreed could be shared. I'm sure many of you have others, as Daniel loved a selfie at the game.
David is hoping to arrange a more fitting tribute in time, but for now please raise a glass in his memory and a good Derby win today. I am sure that's what Daniel would have been doing tonight.

Was that 10 goals by the end of the season or by the end of October?
It has been good of Rhodes to put on notice just how the most run of the mill Championship striker (at this stage of his career) looks in this f****** dreadful league.
I didn’t expect him to get 9 goals in 10 games, but assumed he would easily get 20 at this level. He looks like it could be on for 30+ if he carries on.

I support the club, not any one individual within it. I want what is best for the club. I believe that the best thing for DCFC would be finding a more suitable manager.
Clowes disagrees, which is his prerogative, it's his money on the line. I reckon sticking with Warne will cost Clowes a fortune in the long run.

Regarding playing away from home, the players s*** themselves at small grounds on the ball I think. Granted only been to Shrewsbury but on poor pitches at a low level kind of atmosphere and ground I think we go into hit it long mode.

Must confess I did enjoy watching that. Clearly the opposition were very limited but that's not Derby's fault.
What struck me tonight was how comfortable we looked with the ball - pop passes, plenty of movement & patience when in possession. That mentality gave us control of the game very quickly & thereafter they couldn't stop us slicing through them. We have the players to play this way regularly & I want us to have the same principles away from PP with oppo midfielders closing down quicker than Northampton's did tonight - not the hot potato rubbish we've seen in recent weeks.
Shout out to Conor Washington who I thought was very good with his movement, touch & work rate - great finish too. A deserved MOM for Max Bird though who looked like a mini Frank Lampard that first half in particular. Two immaculate finishes & maybe the start of a breakout season for him in terms of goalscoring.
Pleased also for Dajaune Brown getting his first minutes of first team action & hopefully his debut sees him kick on to be a regular first team squad member.

I want what's best for this club so by not backing Warne I think I am doing rather well to be honest...
Not backing the manager doesn't make you a bad fan, you can hate the manager and love the club.

    I mean not exactly. There are several reasons;

    - Style of football
    - Tactical naivety
    - Lack of adaptability
    - Poor management of fitness at times
    - Seemingly poor technical coaching
    - Lack of clear longer term planning
    - Confused transfer strategy
    - Seeming lack of willingness to develop academy players
    - Generally underperforming in terms of results and signs of it getting worse rather than better.

So hypothetically if we kept Warne for his full contract and we were midtable with awful football and all the best players going and fans booing and getting very angry do you think that would be acceptable from Clowes?
Don't think it will happen but it comes a point where he looks in the wrong to not sack him, I wouldn't have appointed him but would have sacked him at the end of last season if not about a month ago. But we are getting into the territory where he will be very lucky to have a job if things don't improve.  Warne could not do any worse imo and I strongly believe that. No manager could have us bottom half, the players organising themselves would play better than under Warne I think and I mean that. I've seen us play s*** for all 6 games I have see this season, we are embarrassingly bad its criminal how bad he has manged us. Caveman football without results.

What matters is on the pitch for fans most couldn't give 2 f**** about the rest if we are abysmal on the pitch on a Saturday and have a manager that most are growing to hate quite frankly. I am not saying that Clowes is a bad owner but he will be soon be viewed as one irregardless of any community work if things continue how they are on the pitch and he takes too long to act and keeps faith in Warne.

When we limp to a mid table finish and we lose 2,000 season tickets and a total of 3,000 from the gate next season will people being saying DC has been a good business owner at that point in time?
Good business people make bad decisions but it’s how quickly they make changes which differentiates them.
We are a sinking ship under Warne. We’re good enough for 7-10th and that’ll cloud judgements. That’s not good enough for the fans and a club our size. Call it entitlement, but I personally call it expectation. We are too big for Warne and he’s losing it.
I am really disappointed in our owner right now.

Such a misleading use of statistics. Comparing win ratios of managers who are managing against Man Utd and ones who manage against Forest Green is beyond useless.

Paul Warne gaining his wins in the 3rd division where as others around him played 1st or 2nd division teams. If he was managing the team in the league above I would understand it. But when you're not beat Stevenage and Cheltenham then it does throw these kind of stats into question.

Post BC. Warne in 4th, better than Dave Mackay who won the league title, Rowett, Lampard, Cox, Smith, Davies, Clement.
Don't shoot me down but maybe he's getting unnecessary stick?

Not from day 1 but was sceptical from the start , thought things were looking good before we got battered by Barnsley in February, but since the start of this season about 3 or 4 games in its been obvious he has made us a s**** team.Blackpool in the cup was enough for me then we won a few jammy games but we have been going this way all season.
