Phuket Ram reacted to Ram-Alf in Wayne Rooney
Rooney resigns as DCFC manager on a Friday citing family reasons ?, On Monday Stretford reveals Triple SSS footed the £1.6million wages bill as a loan, The FA are investigating.
Collen Rooney says her time in Chicago is not a good life for her and her Children and they return home to England.
WR is reported to be the next Manager of DC United who have equalled the lowest points total in the USA Soccer League and lost 7-0 to Philadelphia over the weekend.
The words Liar liar pants on fire come to mind ?

@angieramand @Carnerosummed up the gist of what i was going to say. When Keogh was sacked, his appeal was heard by a football tribunal, not and Employment Tribunal. When Boro made their claim, the EFL said it had to be settled as a football debt, not through a Court of Law. Both Footballers and clubs might want to have things both ways, but either they're all football disputes, or they're all legal disputes.
I think it's also probably true that we're better off without carrying Byrne's wages and, given that we bought him for a small fee from Wigan, I'd have no issue if he left for a small fee, but there's a right way to go about it and neither he nor Buchanan have done that.

We've paid Tom one heck of a lot of money while he's been here. And a lot of the time, I've not been his biggest fan tbf. But last year, I liked him. Took me a long time I'll admit. Anyway...
We should offer him whatever is our new max salary limit. AND THEN THIS...
1. He's free to leave if we receive an offer of £1m plus (or something like that)
2. We give him a % of the sale value (say, 30%)
That way, he can play football with us, bide his time, pocket a huge amount of cash when he leaves, we pocket some cash, he helps us out financially and everybody's happy.
What could possibly go wrong?

How have we gone from being on the verge of having no club at all to signing Conor Hourihane in league one in just a week?

Phuket Ram reacted to Duracell in Conor Hourihane - Signed 2 year deal
We're making better signings than the era which got us into the trouble in the first place.

This would be a staggeringly good signing. Fingers crossed the reports are true.

Phuket Ram reacted to Gee SCREAMER !! in Curtis Davies - signed 1-year deal
As I suggested at the weekend . Probably offered 1 year and he wants 2. Frankly, at 37 and his injury history prior to last season, that's a large expense to hold for what could be limited game time. Not sure he'll be offered that. Maybe a pay as you play contract for year 2 at an enhanced rate.

Somebody guessed at it on here first, Nixon was initially non-committal and ambiguous as usual, then strangely he latched onto it. I guess he couldn't think of anything.
Personally I think it's all pure guesswork and well wide of the mark. Leases were all in place with the companies that are not in administration and now (nearly) owned by DC, subject to MSD charges, and registered with the land registry. Leases are often saleable or assignable assets. ie. they have a distinct value. I would guess it's about money for rent arrears that may have got missed, or something to do with the £1.6m loan from the Stretford Agent company.

The long explanation:
Previously, Pride Park Stadium was owned by Gellaw Newco 202, which in turn was controlled by Gellaw Newco 204 (Mel). Neither of which were in administration.
Now, Gellaw Newco 202 is owned by Totem Newco (Clowes). Pride Park still belongs to 202. While Mel (Newco 204) got the money, he will essentially send that money to MSD - as the MSD loan is charged against 204.
In non-business terms, it's almost as if the house (£80m) hasn't been bought, he's bought the mortgage for what's already been paid off (c£23m).
NB: not an accountant, and it's a bit of a scuffed analogy.

Daily Mail article credibility alert:
1) It's THE Daily Mail
2) Reporter Matt Hughes , with a long history of making stuff up.
3) No payments were made by Stretford. The payments were made by an agency that he works for.
4) The story that he or his agency paid the player wages secretly also seems inplausible.. did the agency somehow have all players bank details? In any case the story says the payment was by cheque.
5) It seems more plausible that funding was provided by the agency on behalf of CK.. in which case the physical payment of wages was actually by DCFC. Either way the players were definitely paid so no infringement of that requirement.
6) Quantuma wil not face investigation by Financial Services Authority , not least because that organisation has not existed for nearly 10 years.
