If I was guessing, I'd suggest that Knights probably made it clear he's not signing a new deal here and will be off in January.  Hence the teams now being set up to play without him and we won't want a 2-3 million pound asset injured so minutes will be few. 
That payment to Arsenal for this season and the 2.5 million owed for that winger who never beat a player in two years won't pay itself.

Neither of us have had Billy Sharp playing for us so that keeps us streets ahead.  Not much output from him nowadays it seems.  I assume he's finally eaten that huge chip on his shoulder to go with the other half ton he consumes daily and combusted.

I do hope that 5 mins of cramp he had in alternate legs conveniently starting in the 87th minute at Wembley hasn't come back.  It seemed to clear up at the final whistle, so must come and go suddenly.  Probably a good job you were there to open the door just in case.  Perhaps he was there to get some clubs in case he's ever out and about and needs some makeshift splints.

He's basically said he hopes his form at the world cup will get him a move to a top division club here or abroad.

Put players in the position they prefer playing in.  Don't turn up for pre season like Rooney.  Try and keep the ball more than the other team.  Pick up a player each at corners and leave at least 3 up the field.  If your spending money on a forward or winger, make sure they're actually one or the other and not a hybrid of crapness we've blown about 20 million on in the last 6 years. 
I won't share this in depth analysis all in one go mind, I'll spread it out over 6 months and pocket 50k.
