  1. It was an odd story. To fight it for 2 years nearly to then accept 12 points 9 now and 3 in the bank.

Even if we dont accept it and it goes to the commission i cant see it being any more. In fact itll probably be more like 6. Which i could cope with ? perhaps thats the case Derby are putting forward and if they offer 6 we will accept. Obviously all conjecture tho

What has gone in the past is irrelevant. But there is a difference between incompetence and corruption, which is the key point.

Like i said im not saying its a conspiracy and i really get they are probably just incompetent but governing bodies have been terribly corrupt in the past so its no surprise when some fans think the EFL are using influence to give us unfair referee decisions. Even Rooney skirted around it in his post match interview

  3. Last seasons tactics were atrocious. After seeing the preseason games and the first game it looked like we mightve adopted a different way of playing but the last min goals really brought back the end of last season to many fans.

I dont think Rooney is going to be a good manager to be fair but i also dont disagree when he says who else would do this job,so giving him 10 games is probably about right.

I really hope he proves the doubters (me inc) as he has started to grow on me a bit and he hasnt had much help.

Lampard had the best chance for promotion for a few years and ducked it up. AC Milan CH, England Midfielder and Harry Wilson banging in the goals and we still didnt go up. We had some good games but he failed with players that shouldve done better. Imo

I highly doubt that, agreeing to talk to a middleman who comes to you wth a potential buyer is not really the same as saying "find me a buyer"

but with Mel wanting to sell up / at least have some of the burden shared being well known around the industry presumably even longer than around the forums any and every middle man will be going "oh yeah, you can buy Derby, i'll get you a meeting with Mel" and Mel is probably not going to be going "no interest unless the buyer is a shining beacon of virtue who is highly regarded by business and the public alike"

Im not actually disagreeing with you. What im saying is will the EFL see it like that? Or will they think this is another way Mel is trying to put one over them and every other club in the league. Not perfect when were trying to get them to let us sign more players before the deadline

Here we go. People whipping themselves into a frenzy. I’ll watch it but reading the article doesn’t seem like he’s done anything wrong to me. Shows how easily football owners looking to get out can be exploited, Derby and Mel were nearly victims. That’s the main story.

Im not whipping anyone into a frenzy. I just think with the dodgy relationship we currently have with the EFL, i think this wont go down very well on the bridge building front?

  6. These people are dodgy and if Mel has asked Samuelson to sell Derby then were dodgy by association. Just Mel saying the way of getting out of paying the 150m in one go might get us into hot water with the EFL when they see it. I agree its not against any rules but that line of defence hasn't worked very well for us lately has it?

Wasn't Rooney's biggest fan, even a week or so ago. But to see the crap that he's been dealt with during pre season with no funds, inability to bring in transfers and an owner who doesn't want to be there, I'm starting to warm to him and what he's about. You can see his desire to succeed and I do think he is doing all he can to bring Derby out of the mire we're in.

He's assembling what could be a fairly competitive squad and managed to pull a team together today that produced a result without having played together. Huddersfield aren't the strongest side in the division but you have to play what's in front of you.

He's got some games to win before he proves himself as manager but Im routing for him.

Yeah i agree. Im no Rooney fan and he still needs to win me over with actually winning games but hes got a difficult job and I too am warming to him. Lets hope he pulls it off ?

We used him. Shafted the old guy. And have ended up screwing ourselves over. Rooney was appointed by people who weren't yet the owners. What an absolute mess. Rooney was a big mistake, but it is just another in a long line from our owner.

In 7 years we have gone from a club everyone could admire to one everyone can laugh at/hate. Whilst the team has gradually got worse. One thing that stands out in this tenure is when it came to the crunch, we folded. When the pressure is on, we can't do it. Somehow that is a culture that seems to remain at the club despite numerous managers, tells me one thing.

That is true, we always poo out. I think it comes right from the top

Sad but i cant see us getting another point

  9. Chances are these days any takeover will be done by someone fronting an investment group. To me they all seem dodgy. I always think of Keith with his train set but thats just how football has gone.

I cant see this being anymore dodgy than the fake sheik and his vanishing millions
