If anyone hasn’t heard Warne’s RD interview I would encourage you to listen to it. One of the most refreshing honest interviews I’ve heard.

Tonight wasn’t about playing style (there were far more similarities to a Rosenior team than a Warne team tonight), first half it was too slow, too safe, there was no intensity, no tackles no winning second balls, the basics. We didn’t earn the right to play and it was the worst half of football from a Derby side at home that I’ve seen since the darkest days of Nige. Warne called it abhorrent and I think that’s the perfect description.
Second half while still not where we want to be was much better, but as Warne said the result of completely wasting the first half is that we chased it too much in the second and we didn’t take care in the final third.

Only players to emerge with credit tonight are Wildsmith, Cashin, Mendez-Laing, Roberts, Foz, Didzy and Dobbin. Smith also deserves credit for filling in at right back, I don’t think Sibley will be playing left back again now Warne has realised to quote him directly“ he’s the worst tackler in the world”
Bird and Hourihane need to do a lot more and reading between the lines I think the latter has been the focus of Warne’s anger tonight. He really hasn’t done anywhere near enough since he’s come to the club despite his obvious talent.

Blow losing Chester, the squad is looking thin but positive that Collins is back on Saturday. With the injuries he might need to switch to a back 4, think there is definitely a case for dropping Hourihane and playing Sibley in a midfield 3 with Bird and Smith, Sibley is the only one in midfield carrying the ball forward at the moment. We really need more from Max, he is capable whatever some are saying.
As @Jourdansays (can’t believe I’m agreeing with him), this is definitely teething problems with a new manager trying to understand his team, we need patience. Any argument saying this is the result of Warneball over Rosenior’s playing style is frankly lazy and IMO just plain wrong.
We go again on Saturday and hopefully we get a reaction because no one wants to see a first half like that again, it was truly horrific.

Took a bit of time out to gather myself, have a bath, listen back to Radio Derby and get a glass of my special occasion drink (White Peak Distillery cask rum, summit local). I hope everyone is having whatever it is they want to drink.
Can’t really add anything that hasn’t already been said. All my thanks for everyone’s efforts last season. From Rooney and Rosenior, the players and staff who kept the club going in the darkest days. You can all hold your head high for what you did.
The fans who did everything they could, from filling the stadium to organising marches etc etc. Also the supporters groups who tried to get answers.
The journalists who kept us informed as much as they could, this was a mess from start to finish and was impossible to report accurately on. Many lessons will be learnt but we should appreciate all their efforts from Nixon, Percy, @The Baron,Simon Stone and everyone else I’m forgetting about. Colin Murray, Dan Roan and the national journalists who gave #savederbycounty national coverage.
Special mention to Ed Dawes and Radio Derby, who has lived this far longer than any of us realise because Morris was in his ear with his mess 2-3 years ago. He didn’t get it right all the time, I’m sure he can admit that, but he stood up when it mattered and deserves a pat on the back from Derby fans. Also let’s not forget Chris Coles who after so much crap Derby related news deserves his little moment tonight too!
Team Derby! Forkin, the council and the MPs who helped keep this in the spotlight and did a lot of background work. They have helped create a huge positive day for the city.
Thanks to @David, @Boycieand all the moderators on the forum for all their work and giving us the platform. Special mention to @Animal is a Ram for giving us ‘up to the second’ updates (and all those who sought to beat him, yes you @RoyMac5). Thanks everyone for the laughs in here, at some of the most frustrating times they were some genuinely funny days in here that made everything a bit easier.
Finally, thankyou Mr Clowes. I hope despite inital reluctance this ends up being the best decision you ever make. I hope as fans we respect your privacy, but only after hearing your name being rang out by a sell out crowd on July 30th.
I’ve probably forgotten someone, despite going on worst than one of those popmaster contestants who won’t shut up and go away, but I’m tired and wanna finish my drink and read transfer rumours like a normal football fan, so apologies to anyone who is forgetten.
Have a great night everyone, it’s much deserved

Mr Kirchner still wearing his Sombrero and carrying a half empty bottle of Dark Fruits from the night before staggered into the room to be met by Mr Morris pacing up and down looking at his watch, with a Police guard and Mr Ashley's representative standing to one side. Lurking in the shadows, straining to listen, was possibly Mr Jordan, now of TalkSport.

    It's simple, really.
We have a management team that want to fight for our future, we have the DCFC staff who want to fight for our future, we have players that want to fight for our future and we, the fans, ARE our future.
We are all powerless pawns while the kings, queen's, and bishops on both sides strutt around outside us dictating the game.
It feels bloody horrible, so the very least we can do is show solidarity with those who care like we do.
The rest of em, they can duck right off!

Having watched my first game in 1965 (a 3-2 home defeat by Bolton) and approaching my 64th birthday, I decided that it was time to properly display my Rams collection. It's probably an old geezer thing…So, the cabinet was purchased with the blessing of Mrs M and this is the result.
My holy grail has always been to find a missing Steve Bloomer international cap in a junk shop, which is never going to happen; but I was lucky enough to get a pair of c1914 Bloomer branded boots at the recent Hansons auction. That will more than do for me.
This small corner of Gloucestershire is definitely Rams territory.
Mrs M and I are off to Reading Monday, sitting on our hands in the home end. Great Forum David et al, it's really valued by those of us no longer local.

i would have thought that maintaining goodwill  with Mel would ensure that the transfer of the stadium went through smoothly as part of the deal . Not sure this is the best way to do it.

Once more unto the breach dear friends…
If Percy is correct, it looks like the Administrators have made a pragmatic decision to accept the EFL’s vindictive agenda so we can draw a line, come out of Administration and know where we stand. It’s probably for the best. So my top 3 hopes now going forward:
    1. WR stays as manager. He’s shown he’s the right calibre to re-launch us. He can now plan for League 1.
    2. We’ve got to keep the nucleus of young players together; there are more to come eg Cashin. Blend them now to be a very strong League 1 side. Keep Shinnie if we can. We can hit League 1 “running” & storm back.
    3. Get Kirchner in as owner. We need young, bold leadership with popular appeal not figures in the shadows with camel coats and sovereign rings.
Let’s stick together as fans facing up with a united front. Keep our dignity, not lose our heads. It’s darkest before dawn.

What are your top 3 hopes going forward from here?:

Good to be back posting again
My thoughts of Wayne is nothing but praise, bringing in good experience pros, to mix it up the the youth, was so important, having no money, but for me with want he has at his disposal he is doing a great job, also love the way we are trying to play, so many positives, around the squad and coaching staff.
Just need a takeover now, and to come out of the embargo, to give Wayne the help he and the coaches and playing staff deserve.
