KCG reacted to Mucker1884 in Keogh Sacked
Word on the street is that that's being covered by income specifically generated from elsewhere, which wouldn't be income at all, if Rooney wasn't here. In a roundabout way, a sponsor is coughing up his earnings... or at least a hefty chunk of it?

I'd get used to it. It'll take 3-5 years for everyone on here to finally get their law degrees.

The outcome will be that they'll deduct Leeds points for it.

Not true. Is determined on a case by case basis taking into account personal mitigation, whether it's the person's first offense, damage to the business whether the person shows repentance during the hearing etc

Then we shouldn't write libelous posts then really when none of us truly know exactly.

An ET would have told him to "Go Home" earlier in the night.

Keogh is perfectly entitled to appeal within his employment rights as per any other individual so it's not down to Keogh if the matter drags on as you phrase it.
If the appeal is unsuccessful then Keogh will also be perfectly entitled to either take the club to an industrial tribunal as he has been at the company i.e. Derby for more than 2 years or even sue the club if he saw fit which will also mean that the matter drags on even further which again he is perfectly entitled to do as per any other individual.
If Morris thought that Keogh would just walk away after being dismissed then he is extremely naive so he must have known that his actions would then form a cloud over the club for a great length of time afterwards

My thoughts on this matter is that none of this is helping Derby County.

People outside the club and supporters, and to be fair even some of the supporters, are commenting on the headline without considering or understanding the detail. Nothing new in that. Tabloids thrive on such views.

Not saying I don’t trust you but I think you are wrong re being able to sack L & B. Unless you can point me to the relevant laws and clauses.
The fact that no other club has sacked a player for DD seems to back that up.
Happy to accept being wrong if proved otherwise.

KCG reacted to Inverurie Ram in Aberdeenshire Rams
Took a half day off work to watch the game. Had a lovely lunch at Formartines with a pleasant walk around the fishing loch in the sunshine. Then headed back to Inverurie for the difficult bit. Walked down to The Commercial, it was busy, nobody watching the Oldham game, so I'm getting the Derby game on. It hits 3pm and the red button does not appear, here we go again, so I down my bottle of corona, kind of expecting The Derby Way. Then I leg it down to Butchers, which I managed to watch the Derby v Boro game at Christmas on, so I know they can pick up all the EFL games. I tell the bargirl where to look on her machine and up and down the EFL channels we go and every championship game comes on except the Derby one, The Derby Way. She gets all mardy and miserable and says if it's not working, it's not working, I say fair enough, I'm out of here. I phone the misses to pick us up, home for Rams TV, I miss the first 35 minutes and spend the following minutes frustrated as my machine and internet decide they don't want to play either, so I watch the game in bits. Eventually with about 20 minutes to go it all seems to be working, we go in to injury time, it doesn't look like we are going to score then......PENALTY......Wilson is ready he steps up......and machine dies again......The Derby Way.....I get it back on, the same thing happens again, it comes back on I see the second goal, I then eventually see the replay of the penalty after the game......2-0.....and I'm knackered.....off out now to teach my youngest lad to ride a bike!
Up The Rams!

KCG reacted to loweman2 in The Old Guard
Nearly completed the journey now of meeting the legends, tonight was one of the great names in football, the man who stood in as captain and lead us to a second first Division Championship, the scorer of that goal for Scotland against Holland, the scorer of that free kick against Forest in the FA cup, one of Cloughs lieutenants who fell out with him so publicly over the European cup final, the man who would run tirelessly from box to box and never be in the headlines, working twice as hard as the ones who scored the goals.
was really pleasantly surprised at what a top friendly guy he was, he spent an hour with us, I took loweman1 and loweman3 with me and he sat there chatting away with all of us and bringing out his grandad skills to charm Jordan.
he had some great tales, we only scratched the surface but most of them were about him, Clough and Taylor, his fall outs and how Cloughie tried to make it right with him in the end.
Good old Archie ! Top Ram !
