Yes the penalty was a poor decision but we can’t control what the ref sees and what decisions he makes. What we can control is the game when leading 1-0. 
 
first half we looked good, chances created, goal scored and solid. 2nd half we looked the complete opposite. We didn’t look competent on the ball and simple passes were not completed. We goofed the ball up top hopefully and lost 90% of our battles. We didn’t get to the 2nd balls and break up attacks well enough. We also showed nothing going forward, not at 0-1, not at 1-1 and not at 2-1. We didn’t even seem able to put an attach together. Zero quality. 
 
a few stats in the 2nd half….
- We only had 40% possession. 
- We had 1 shot on target and 1 shot off target in 50 mins.                                                    
- We had 2 corners                                                   
- We Attempted 143 passes but only completed 83
Those stats above aren’t good enough when trying to control a game when leading and then trying to get something from the game when losing & drawing.
As Warne said we need to do much more and not just play for 45mins. Otherwise we won’t even be in the Playoffs….

Apologies but Forsyth is a shambles at CB. Constantly making errors and he’s a senior player! I’d drag off Fozzy, Sibley, Smith & Barks

I like Warne. He comes across as a manger you would want to play for and he seems to understand players as people not just assets. He bought with him a great track record of getting us promoted and i can see why Clowes chose him, i have 2 points to get across though....
1. This is NOT a Paul Warne side. Before we slander him let's look at the players he is having to use. Defence, 2 ageing CBs and Stearman plus full backs who aren't natural wing backs. Midfield, Only Knight & Smith seem to be capable of playing for Warne. Bird, Hourihane and Thompson are all far too lightweight and don't have the energy to run for 95 mins. Attack, He has some weapons with Collins, NML, Barks, Dobbin & Osula but none are his signings. We need to see what happens in January and see if we can bring in 3/5 new faces who play Warnes way.
2. I didn't trust Rosenior towards the end but I knew how we would play week to week and would know how were going to attack teams, last night it was just confusing. I honestly think Rosenior would have been more successful and won away games if he didnt have Justin Walker and Bucko behind him, JW is an academy coach and Bucko failed at Burton. if he had a couple expericenced heads either side i think he would of smashed it.

Bird and Hourihane together is a busted flush. Not enough mobility, not enough strength and they want to do the same thing. I agree with you there. The answer to our lack of wing-backs is not to play a system that needs them..... the fact this is his 3rd home game and he's only just working this out is a tad concerning. You could see against Port Vale that it left us defensively vulnerable in the air, on the flanks and on set pieces. It was a shambles and I could see we were going to lose that game even when we scored in the first minute. 
I'd honestly be tempted to shift Knight to right back, and have a midfield 3 or 2 of Rooney, Bird and Sibley or use roberts as an inverted full back and slot forsyth in on the left with knight in the middle accompany bird and sibley. That might provide sufficient cover until January and we can look for a loan or 3 to give us additional cover. Warne atm is making a meal of this so far. Maybe the club is too big for him and he's got Eddie Howe syndrome or something but no-one can convince me after that performance that this is working.

Well, Friday night away at Ipswich and I’m sorry it’s a poor performance but Curtis Davies is so far past it. Guys stealing a living, he’s either injured or playing S***. Not sure the 5 back works. Need to spend some in Jan for any success

Probably going to annoy a lot of forum members here but Max Bird is no captain the guy doesn’t talk. Him and hourihane in midfield were a joke neither can make a tackle. Thompson is also a league standard below this one, he was awful when he came on. Poor subs cost us this one at 2-0 up. Plymouth by far the better team though.

I thought we were effective in the first half but that was a poor 2nd half from us and you can’t say Plymouth didn’t deserve that. The energy in midfield was very low and whilst Bird had some really nice forward passes he is struggling to stamp his authority on games. I thought him and Hourahaine were overshadowed by the Plymouth midfield.

I feel like Collins should start, he needs a goal for his confidence and may stand a chance of grabbing one against these. Play Dobbin and Sibley close to him, maybe with Knight on the right, pretty much the side that played against West Brom with Collins in for McGoldrick up top. Or if he’s ok following his family issues NML on the right as he will have fresh legs after missing a couple of games and Knight can be rested.

He played a changed side without playing a week one. All the players coming into the side knew there jobs and how the team was set up to play 1-11 they all put a shift in and showed quality. The subs he made were well timed and well thought out. Thank god he’s not like Cocu in cup games
