One of the Ten Commandments is "Thou shalt honour thy father and mother", but nobody has a God-given right to push their families around and mess them about. There are limits. I went through that as a young man myself and I know it can be difficult. It's important to maintain your self-respect. Just stay true to yourself and the things you believe in. It can be very hard work,  but I wish you all the best.

Thanks for reminding me of this song. I loved it when it first came out. I used to do a bit of singing myself in my younger days, but my voice has got gradually lower and lower. This is one of the few songs which I can croak along to comfortably.

Oh wow!  I so want to live in Stoney Middleton... even the local fly tippers carefully position their unwanted wares squarely on a pallet.
    Heaven!

I hadn't realised that they hadn't been taking my money until I received notification a couple of days ago saying that they had now done so. An excellent gesture by the club at a time when they need all the money they can get even more so than normal.
I subscribed to DAZN, only because some of the games Sky pick are shown on there and so aren't available to me on RamsTV. They are a sports channel showing a wide range of live and retransmitted sports. They didn't hesitate in taking my money even though they hadn't any new sports to show. I suppose they could argue that the retransmitted stuff was still available, but I wouldn't have thought that they would have had anywhere as near as much interest.
Thanks yet again to the club for being so fan orientated.

I went for an interview to be his drum tech in 1979, could have done it but a combination of being only 20 and being nervous saw me being overlooked.
Spoke to a guy years after who worked for him and on their first meeting asked him how he likes his kit set up and Cobham just said “You set ‘em up, I’ll play them”

Yes in a nutshell and anyone else saying different is a big fat liar.
Not only was it our team captain but 2 other players as well. A bigger media spotlight that will have affected Cocu and staff along with all the other players. It would have caused friction between them for so many reasons etc....
Preparation which is key these days will have been affected whatever way you look at it. We are also now playing a former winger, come left back, who hadn't played for a year or so at the back with an ageing Curtis Davies who had been benched previously all season. So not only did we lose a team captain, we also lost our best centre back as we speak.
He has alot to answer for I am afraid.... Can't help but feel for Cocu.

Can I just say that I work in the NHS, I get paid a pittance and my season ticket is a stretch. I am glad Keogh has been shown the door, I would gladly have shoved him out of it myself. The more I read and hear, the more he disgusts me. That is all.

Yes, but the other two are able to play and earn their wages now.
if they ended up in prison for their crimes, then I’m sure they’d be facing a similar offer. We’re not going to pay them for sitting in jail.
But while they’re able to play, they’ve served their time, they’ve been punished in the eyes of the club and the law, so they carry on playing and getting paid for it.
This all seems completely sensible to me.
Keogh has sidelined himself through an unnecessary, avoidable, and non work related incident. So we shouldn’t have to pay him silly wages. Imagine if you could get yourself a massive contract, then just accidentally break your leg and sit the rest of the contract out on full wages.
Sean Barker, for example, is a different case, as he got his injury in the line of duty.

Well obviously, because the other 2 involved can still play football and earn a living where as the other cannot.  Hence why are they involved and the other isn't.

I don't think I can say this without sounding a dick, but I'm going to hope you get it anyway...
I'm comfortably well off, but my missus passed away. I'd reverse those things in a heartbeat.
Life deals harsh cards sometimes; people and employers can be shitbags. You'll get through being skint, so long as you stick together for each other...and then you won't be skint, and you'll be stronger for the shared effort. Good luck SSD.

It’s also worth checking your task manager, see if anything is eating up your internet, anti virus software downloading a large update in the background for example.
Ask little Billy upstairs if he’s on his Xbox or watching YouTube, if you’re on a budget internet package with a family that could be streaming/downloading things you’d rather not know about in their bedrooms that can impact your connection.
We have 50meg down for 2 of us so never an issue, but a family of 4 on a 10 down is asking for trouble. I understand some rural areas that maybe the best you can get, but you won’t have any sympathy from the websites, lock the kids up in the wardrobe when Derby are on, they should be watching it with you anyway but I’m not here to offer parental advice as well.
Browser plugins can also tinker with how websites work, especially those pesky ad blockers. You don’t want to see ads we get it, but those blockers use resources and can block things they are not meant to.
Finally use Chrome, can’t stress the importance of this, step away from those Microsoft browsers it’s free, takes a minute to install and your whole internet experience will be greatly improved!
If other fans are watching the game fine with no issues you have to look at your own setup, I saw one on Wednesday complain of an echo, turns out they had multiple tabs open!
