I’m not saying he should be sacked but I am saying there’s enough for me to be concerned.
It’s not this one result. As others have said, a one off result you can accept if other results and performances are up there. Nobody at City were calling for Pep’s head after they lost to Watford. Portsmouth drew at Cheltenham as well but other performances and results mean they can shrug it off as a bad day.

We are having too many poor performances and average results which then changes the context of this result.
Also, and this is a personal opinion which people may or may not agree with but I find the idea of getting it wide, putting in crosses and focusing on set plays (get a bonus day off if you score from one) to be really basic football. And people might say that’s how you play in League 1 but I don’t buy it and it also means, as someone already put, that if you do go up what happens? Do you try and completely change your football and undo all the coaching you have done?
I’m not saying he should go now but the signs aren’t great

His post interview is exactly why we are so predictable. Get it wide and put crosses in was his game plan which has clearly been found out. Didn’t want bird in midfield as he didn’t want control. Deary me

I get your point, but it seems like this is being said every other game. How long do you keep saying it?

You say that but that’s been said a fair bit this season already. “On to the next one” “we can play better” “not our day” “if only x took his chance”
after a while you have to maybe realise this is the norm. How many games so fair this season (11 games in) have we thought “that was poor” or boring or dull.

as someone else has mentioned, we can’t dominate games, we can’t stamp our identity on a game, we do well when we have to soak it up rather than play football and break teams down.

playing unattractive football is only accepted when it comes with results.

the utopia is good football and good results but
unattractive football + good results is accepted
attractive football + poor results is accepted (just about)
Unattractive football + poor results will end one way.

I want PW to turn it around but I also want my team to play with the ball on the ground and pass the ball. Not keep it tight and put emphasis on set plays.

Because we have with the exception of Blackpool and half an hour against Peterborough been absolutely dreadful all season.

His net worth and his company worth have been guesstimated to death on here and elsewhere.
You seem to believe that Ashley would have been better, maybe he would, we'll never know.
Mike Ashley has had 6 months to decide if he really wanted to buy DCFC, like you said, he's got the moolah, but he's decided not to outbid everyone else for whatever reason.
Its completely out of the hands of us fans, we have no say in the matter whatsoever. Right now, I am grateful to David Clowes for buying the stadium and (hopefully) the club as one entity.
All we can do is turn up and get behind the team from the first friendly onward and let the new manager and players know we are with them.
    COYR ??

There is one thing that to me is in excusable…NOT PAYING HMRC…..he’s supposed to be an astute businessman yet fails to pay the tax bill ….if he had cleared this and left then so be it…but to try and get a buyer to take on his debts to the HMRC is laughable …imagine any of us getting a job and the employer saying oh by the way the previous incumbent didn’t pay his taxes so you’ve got to pay them ….joke …no sympathy …taken us into admin and he’s not short of money ….good riddance and before anyone says he spent money he tried his best …we as fans trusted him as the club was under his control to run it properly …not run it into the ground!!!!! ?

But Mel wasn't even smart enough to play the game - he thought he was but nearly all the mistakes in the recent past find their way back to him. He's been bloody awful for the club. Meanwhile what's he going to do with a football stadium?

really? I think Mel gets off quite lightly simply cos he’s a fan/local.

Think of the dog’s abuse GSE got for running the club sensibly and compare that to what Mel ISN’T getting for putting the club on it’s knees!

You’re dead on there. I mean he’s been given all these resources, we have a great squad full of talent. Could not ask for better conditions to manage under and with a host of managers lining up to take the job then why do we keep him in post? ?

This sort of thing baffles me. Some players can make a mistake and it’s hardly mentioned, others are hounded and told to get out of the club. If you swapped Byrne and Joz around for the first goal, Joz would still be getting the blame for it. Both failed to stay alert to where the Posh player was and both at fault. Others were at fault for the 2nd goal. Yet, it all comes down to Joz. Before that moment, I thought he did well, he had some good bits of possession, took players on successfully and he looked better with his control, which is usually a point of frustration with me about him. But he switches off (along with others) and he gets this, which is a huge overreaction

    Just curious
    A) who anyone thinks would take the job under the current circumstances?
    B) how many mangers we need to sack before people start to think the issue might be elsewhere?

You’ve got to feel sorry for Joz.
He came here to progress his career but it has been an absolute nightmare from the start.
He was probably sold on Phillip Cocu’s ability to develop youngsters (something proven) and the idea of playing alongside an influential Wayne Rooney.
What he soon found out was our former manager was severely undermined and restricted, later being dismissed while Rooney the player post lockdown was clearly unfit for Championship standard. He was dreadful.
Throw in the absolute turmoil off the field, his close friend Bielik picking up a lengthy injury, Wayne Rooney’s questionable tactics and an inexperienced coaching staff and it couldn’t have gone much worse for the guy.
Who would blame him if he wanted out? I’m sure he is professional and will try his best but deep down he is probably wishing he never came here.

Because he's shown enough in preseason to show if we can get the players in we'll have a reasonable season. The quality of the squad atm is poor. Do you really think Davies and Stearman are our chosen CB pairing, rather than just the only two we could sign?

I think, having looked at it again, he was expecting their guy to be on the outside and positioned himself for that, but didn’t look, when he realised he was inside it was too late. But the cross still needs to be defended. Byrne is in there and then stops, where their guy doesn’t. Fozzy, Joz and Byrne all should do better.

He’s a young lad that’s trying to make a go of plying his trade in a foreign country in a tough league saddled with an expensive transfer fee.
He’s also playing in a struggling side that lacks a character on the pitch to put his arm around him. The last thing he needs is being abused by people that probably have no clue whatsoever about how much character he’s already shown to cross that white line.

I haven't seen it again other than in match replays, where I was concentrating of trying to figure out what Fozzy was doing. Not for the first time this season he gets out-jumped because he seems not to be competing. If anyone switched off it was him. Maybe Joz was expecting him to get a header in? But yeah I was really liking the bits of attacking play we saw from him.
