  1. The general conclusion seems to be that we have good technical players who aren't overly athletic or physical. So why not play a system which favours more technical players? No because our manager wants to play the complete opposite
  2. What's the point of having a midfielder with skill if we're just going to continue with the tactic of hoofing it from the defence?
  3. The way some people are talking (not saying you are) we need a 6ft 5, 20 goal striker, who has pace and can out muscle defenders. That's Haaland or nobody. If you watch Bolton, their top scorer Dion Charles isn't particularly fast or strong but the team create chances for him. I'm sure if you put Waghorn in Bolton's team he'd do well. I agree with you in part about the midfielders, but I wouldn't say Fornah, Hourihane and Sibley are entirely the same kind of midfielder
  4. How would pace have helped us in game like Stevenage for example who didn’t leave space behind? We’ve had pace with NML and Barkhuizen on the wings before and that hasn’t worked
  5. Where does stability come from though? Doesn’t stability overwhelmingly involve the owner and how money is spent? We could change manager and if it went badly we would remain in the very stable position of being a mid table L1 team. Why does keeping Warne determine stability?
  6. Everyone keeps saying we need a striker. Is this striker going to just create chances for themselves? I’m not sure what any striker is supposed to do if we continue to play this way. I agree with Phil Brown on Waghorn being an excellent striker at this level. He’s somehow managed 6 goals in 11 starts. Our entire offensive play for the first 10 games of the season involved giving the ball to NML in RWB and hope he does something. In recent weeks we’ve resorted to simply long balling it and hoping our players can out fight the defender and it might fall to someone. What is a new striker meant to do?
  7. So why were Championship Hull and PL Brighton trying to sign Bird and Cashin?
  8. If we can't get Eustace or Simpson, it needs to be an assistant somewhere who wants the step up. Someone like Steve Round or Anthony Barry
  9. Not including reserve players, only really Wilson, Wildsmith, Waghorn and John-Jules.
  10. I'm not sure there's much point arguing with you about the players because its your opinion. However, in my opinion Cashin is one of the best CBs in the league, who almost signed for PL Brighton. Bird is the best midfielder in the league who only didn't sign for Hull because of an injury. Nyambe, Nelson and NML are some of the best in their positions. Waghorn has 6 goals in 12 games but for some reason isn't playing much. Even players like Fornah were playing impressively in the Championship least season. Do you still think we should give Warne half the season like you were saying a few weeks ago?
  11. I'm not sure how last seasons position dictates what success would be this season. It just means Warne has failed two seasons in a row. Why are you listing Bolton, Barnsley and Peterborough like they're amazing teams that it's natural we'd finish behind? We were the odds on favourites for promotion at the start of the season. If you think the players aren't good enough that's your opinion, which I disagree with. But if they're not good enough, isn't that partly Warnes fault as well?
  12. Getting someone in as DOF needs to happen before a coach is appointed. There's no point getting one in now unless Warne is getting sacked, so they can help select his replacement.
  13. The fact is we should be challenging for the top 2, and in that regard it looks like the position is unrecoverable. Finishing top 6 shouldn't be the goal, anything below second is a failure.
  14. This the exact line up I'd like to see, but in a 4-3-3 possession in the midfield is the most important part. Warnes systems seem to bypass the midfield entirely with long balls so I can't see it ever working.
  15. His first mistake was not taking any advice and making every decision himself. Should have hired a DOF
  16. I want him to now just to see what you losing it looks like.
  17. Now would be an ideal time to sack him. Home game against Northampton, then two unimportant cup games for the new coach to analyse the squad.
  18. He got tactically outthought by Steve Evans. What more needs to be said?
  19. What tactics are we actually using in this game? does anyone even know? the players? Warne? There's no pattern of play anywhere. Players are just kicking it in the general direction of Stevenage's goal.
  20. I'm sorry but why is Washington playing? The only attribute he has over our other strikers is his pace and pressing, which isn't need in this kind of game.
  21. If you'd told Hourihane, NML etc. when they signed for Rosenior they'd be playing like this they obviously would never have signed. They'll be gone the first chance they get. Waste of quality signings at this level which we won't get again.
