    My total guess, the extra funding could actually be coming from Ashley.
    If you notice, Nixon hasn't said diddly squat on Ashley, because he isn't getting the inside scoop on him. I remember he tweeted "and the Ashley rumours won't go away", minutes before the story came out that Ashley was seriously interested. So although he was hearing something, hardly the breaking news that John Percy delivered.
    Nixon probably caught wind of a potential buyer chucking in the funds to see out the season and Riley has been his guess.

    There was a very brief segment on ITV news this morning saying the admins will release a statement today and funding had been sorted for the season. Can’t find it anywhere, don’t know if anyone else heard it or if it’s been mentioned on here ?‍♂️
