Rab a dab doo got a reaction from derbydaz22 in Mel had a dream
Its not all been his (Mel's) fault every manager he has employed has been backed (rightly or wrongly) in hind sight. That is because he has always look at things from a fan's prospective. Each year chasing the dream if "I just give it one more 'big' go then the prize is within our grasp syndrome (which is in all of us).
Some of choices of manager seemed inspired at the time but turned out not be the case , others used use as stepping stone to bigger and better things (or so they thought). Other were just hopeful punts based on other peoples opinions.
The only person who as really lost out is Mel himself both monetarily and health wise.
As supporters we've suffers the emotional highs and low's but these have always been part and parcel of following the Rams since i was boy in mid 1960's. It will continue to be the case just as it at 90% of clubs in league.
I know we like to think were different to everyone else but really were not and no one has god given right to be successful all of the time.
Ask even the 'biggest' teams fans.
Give the the man credit for at least thinking big just like Lionel Pickering

Rab a dab doo got a reaction from MikeS in EFL appeal
So in layman's terms the whole exercise is another waste of time and money by the EFL AGAIN.

He probably thinks if he
He probably thinks if he did that he would only get offers/enquires from people with little or no money who would be just messing him about.
Hang on that sounds familiar ?

Rab a dab doo got a reaction from Brammie Steve in Louie Sibley
I think that is why Rooney is weary of playing him from the start and only uses him as an impact sub in games to protect him and the team.

Rab a dab doo got a reaction from Rammy03 in Team for next season's promotion push?
Too many variables to be thinking about what's going to happen next season just yet.
Whose going to be the new owner?
How much money will we have ?
Which division will we be be paying in ?
Who will be manager then ?
Which players will be retained/offered new contracts ?
Which players will be sold/want to go ?
Which players will we get in ?
Will crowds be allowed to return back into grounds as normal ?
Will they be speaking English ,Arabic or Spanish in the boardroom ?
Everything is STILL up in air

The main question is have we ACTUALLY seen the colour of 'his' Euro's yet.
We don't want to be Sheikh(ed), rattled and rolled again.

That and having an owner who continually interferes and has changed permanent managers at least three so far.

Sorry for omission James but i did mean to include them but seem how in explicable missed them off.
I hope its not a bad omen and we put them 'right back' in the mix with a win against them.

The transfer window came just at the right time for us and for once we have 'seemed' to have used it wisely.
The influx of 5 new players, more than most could of dreamed about has added depth and options to the team.
We have obtained 'young' players wanting to impress and make a name for themselves and some who are well experienced at this level.
All of this has been achieved on a 'balanced' budget with outgoings.
Rooney seems to have a plan of the 'type' of players he requires (maybe not quite the quality he would like) and the sort formations and style he would like them to play.
The hard part is getting them to do it during matches (which must be frustrating for a player of his pedigree).

Give the lad a chance, he's only young yet but he has shown flash's of what he is capable of.
I just think our present 'predicament' Rooney can't quite find a suitable role for him (at the moment).
I wouldn't write him off just yet and am sure Rooney hasn't either.

There cannot be any true "black and white" bleeding, true blood, Derby County Rams fan worth his salt who would wish or ever even mild contemplate wanting our 'great' club to ever be relegated.
So there, I have said it now !
