  1. So sad Rest in Peace Steve Your music will live on .
  2. I was in France and on the way back home. Myself and my other half (a Forest Fan!!) were sitting in a Campanile Restaurant(Bethune), having our Dinner and the TV was on (TF1). I looked up and saw the famous clip of him coaching the guys (at Raynesway?) i knew immediately that he had passed and nudged the boss as she had her back to TV. We were both upset and had leave the Restaurant. My wife had met him quite a few times in a role for St John ambulance at the City Ground and it felt quite personal to her.
  3. Sorry for your loss Scott i lost my Old Man six years ago with Pancreatic Cancer. I assure you although life can never be the same it does get better and you'll remember the good times and not the bad ones. Get help if you or any member of your nearest and dearest. Vent on here if necessary. But most of all look after yourself.
  4. Richard Money. Good Player who never quite made it. Apparently when we signed him on loan from Liverpool he didn't command a loan fee and the payment was a packet of Custard Creams. So Money for nothing and Liverpool got their Bics for Free! I'll get my coat.
  5. Last one standing of the regulars i can remember watching the first episode aged 8. Black and white and my grandfather relating to me his world war two experiences in the Auxiliary fire service in Ashford Kent. Rest in peace Ian Lavender you will be Pike for eternity.
  6. Simon has a season ticket in the West Stand somewhere towards the Gordon Guthrie Stand i think.
  7. Andy Garner See he has got into trouble with the EFL this week all because he started off playing for Derby😛
  8. Sorry David, We will have to agree to disagree 4 major trophies in over 8 years is hardly legend status, a club the size of Liverpool need to winning 8 in that time. The amount of cash he has had to throw at it, he should have won more.
  9. Klopp is not a bad manager, but to call him a legend is a bit far IMHO. He is probably only the 4 or 5 th best coach for Liverpool in my life time. Also way behind Clough, Ferguson, Shankly, Paisley, Pep, Mourinho.
  10. Weird one has Forest Green had only released a statement about support him over the online abuse he received at the weekend. https://www.fgr.co.uk/news/club-statement
  11. Went to tech (ilson)with Garth late 70's. Went to watch Forest/Derby in the infamous Boxing Day game 78 with the Ilson mob at Garth's invitation. Ended up in the Trent End then chucked out after the rucks started. We hung round Notts for the next two hours, having a few pints before heading back towards the station. Got herded onto the Ramaway by the police (just to get us out of Nottingham as quickly as possible). Not wanting to go all the way to Derby a plan was hatched that someone would pull the emergency cord just before Long Eaton and with luck we would stop more or less at the platform. After much harsh debate, as to who and exactly when the cord should be pulled we had already passed through Long Eaton before the said act took place. Fortunately the train stopped exactly on Sawley Road Level crossing and we piled out and began the longer walk back to Ilkeston. About 8.30 by the time we got back to The Market inn. Safe to say, being a bit of a Wuss i never went with them to another game again!!
  12. Good in the ball, but prone to getting in a tangle. I also thought he was tied up long term.
  13. Sorry Bob you beat me to it. Mods can you merge please.
