The only thing the EFL is bothered about, is their image, this is a PR stunt. If Derby get liquidated then reflects very poorly on the policies and organisation of the league. They want to be Little Jack Horner.

Call me cynical but where was the EFL help a few months ago when we were still in a shout of being in the championship for next season?

The summer of 2020 saw Derby used as an international venue once more and England’s women were again in action in both ODI and T20 cricket, and in 2021, The Incora County Ground was the site of an ODI series-clinching victory over New Zealand, with captain Heather Knight scoring her second century in the format.

Sure. I’m just saying there has been no verified reason reported to suggest CK won’t complete the deal. Funds are there and have been proven. It’s just held up.

And during the time the funds have been held up, Q made the correct decision to allow others to bid.

So far nobody else wants to match or better CKs bid. So it’s still his until someone wants to beat his bid.

I really don’t think the other 23 league 1 clubs want to see us go bust. Not because of the extra revenue they might receive for a single game but purely because they don’t particularly want to see one of their fellow clubs go out of business (regardless of how big we are or how big we may think we are). Same way I wouldn’t want to see Forest, Leeds or even (wash my mouth out) Boro.

Getting pretty tiresome with the media posts about Ashley (or anyone else) just wanting to be the clubs savior, and how he is ready to go. Bollocks.
There is an accepted offer on the table, that has been agreed to by all parties. That sets a floor price.

Yet negotiations are still open, because of the reasons reported. So all he (or anyone else)has to do is match or (more likely) beat the current accepted offer- then he becomes the next owner of Derby County. It’s simple. There are no deals to be had here. A floor price has been established by all parties- so now it’s just best bid wins.

And the fact he(or anyone else) is not just coming forward with an acceptable offer tells me they are not that serious about being the next owner.

Leasing ain't cheap for exclusive use you have to put down about 20 % of the net worth, and pay a holding fee for the lease every month, usually around 1-2 % of the net worth, for that you get the maintenance of the plane and hangar rent and preferential rates on crewing etc. My guess full price would be around $20m for a2009 Gulfstream G550, so $4m down and $300k per month.

Was going to write something about Birch visiting Derby but then again I will take the EFL stance and decided I couldn't be bothered!

EFL leaking like a sieve is not a good thing when you are in commercially confidential discussions with buyers.

We've been screwed by the EFL since the t***** from Teeside threatened them. That's why a takeover didn't happen six months ago when we still had a bit of a squad and an outside chance of stopping up.

He is not the registered owner on the paperwork, believe me i have access to the database. EJM operate an exclusive lease system a little like buying a car on PCP.
Just looked again and Knight Frank have an interest in the plane also. CK may have funded the lease though Knight Frank as well, this is not unusual and in someways good news as if he borrows any cash they 100% sure he will repay!!!.

So first assumption , yes it seems EFL do not have confidence either in CK or in Q. But how are they in a position to judge? If CK's money come through on Monday or Tuesday then both CK and Q would be vindicated. Even if it doesn't the hard yards have been done with the agreement reached for sale of PPS, and other parties interested.
All the talk of sales being turned down seem total nonsense. All offers prior to February relied on Boro claims being deal with by normal insolvency process which EFL didn't like, so nothing could proceed before then courtesy of the EFL.

Since February it's been slow and we do not know the reasons why. It sounded to me that buyers were not offering deals that could progress easily and even when Kirchner came in they had to sort out the sale of PPS (via Council or Clowes).
I cannot see how EFL statement today is anything but pure trouble making from EFL. They really are incompetent and I would far rather trust Q than EFL in charge of events.

Ummm what's stopping us playing the entirety of next season in administration?
There's no rules about how long a club is allowed to be in administration for - look at Wigan, Portsmouth etc
Why are the EFL suddenly getting all precious about us potentially going into next season in administration, they weren't particularly bothered about it for the past season.

No, today is a Sunday.  It is one of the two weekend days, alongside Saturday, which intersperses the five days of Bank Holiday we enjoy between Monday and Friday. ?
