  1. You have no track record of any correct statements. I'll go with the person who has proven knowledge. I don't believe that you do.
  2. Thing is, we're not that far behind in the league. It's retrievable, but not under current management. We might just give ourselves a chance if we part ways with Warne to finish in a competitive position, but we can't delay.
  3. We aren't getting better to watch, we aren't getting to be a more cohesive unit, the results aren't improving. It's time to wish Warne well and part ways, I don't foresee improvement from here.
  4. F1 seems to get more tribal and like football all the time. It has really taken off since that 2021 season, with Max or Lewis getting booed in various locations and it just never seems to have stopped. Max will get booed in Brazil and probably Vegas too. It's not really necessary, just politely clap and curse the result in your head!
  5. Looking forward to this one. Really enjoyed the US GP last week, I thought it was nice to finally see a close race up front and hope this weekend follows the trend. Seemingly a track that will suit the mercs so maybe Hamilton can grab a first win since Jeddah 21. Despite my dislike of Verstappen, a bit sad that he'll need bodyguards. I imagine the locals will be even more unhappy when Checo limps to another 7th place....
  6. I really really will never understand the obsession with bringing up Rosenior in discussions about Warne. It's one of the most boring genre of posts on the forum. Yes, it's a reasonable thing to do to pick a particularly bad game under Rosenior as the example of comparison and not take the mean performance. The numbers would suggest we've not really improved over Warne's tenure.
  7. Because of the lack of quality. He should do better, and last night was a perfect example of his poor decision making.
  8. Both? Every team has injuries, we're no different. That isn't a valid justification on our performances. Be optimistic if you want, but being only a point better than the last season is a failure in my eyes. And that's just realism.
  9. That's an excuse though isn't it? We're a year further on under Warne, we should be seeing material gain year on year and we aren't. Last night was decent, however the caveat was that it was against a side that has lost 5 on the trott. Being up there is the bare minimum requirement.
  10. The thing is though, doesn't that demonstrate that we haven't made any progress? Being 1 point ahead of a side that also had a stuttering start and finished 7th isn't providing much hope really.
  11. Don't do that..it's just as bad as being reactionary about a loss.
  12. Decent win against poor opposition, valuable and deserved three points. Better.
  13. Collins that is an absolute joke. Use your brain, barkhuizen is free.
  14. Even Warne accepts that fans have a right to voice their displeasure at the performances. Everyone wants to see us win. The holier than thou attitude is far more annoying than the booing.
  15. I hope they are investigating more than 4 cars after 2 were found in breach, Merc said that the lack of free practice time as well as the sprint race itself impacted it as well as the track itself. Can't believe they would be the only 2.
  16. Didn't know he was considered head of recruitment, remembered the word at the time was he was to be director of football so was just working on that basis!
  17. You do know that we appointed a director of football around 8 months ago?
  18. Jourdan, I respect your positivity, but it's very hard to see. If we're honest, people aren't just negative about the results, it's about the football. It's dull as dishwater and it isn't improving and is arguably looking worse every week. We're not losing that many, but we just seem unable to click in a way that would generate a long run, and there isn't one thing we do that I would consider promotion worthy. We're average and meh at plenty, which makes us an ok side but that's it. Do you genuinely believe we're better than last year? I don't. I think we're very comparable to that 7th place side, and that's the issue. We should have taken strides forward and we evidently haven't. Maybe I'm wrong, but the atmosphere has now turned, and it's very unlikely for a manager to turn it around once that has begun to set in. I can't see Warne lasting November.
  19. The words of a fan, rather than grounded in reality I think.
  20. Mercedes cost lewis that win, blindingly quick, but the first pit was too late and cost Hamilton 6 seconds, and 2 3.5 second pit stops. A real shame, Lewis drove excellently
  21. Why would Warne have accepted that from the stronger negotiating position?
  22. Why would there be a break clause? We approached Warne who was doing well at another club, the negotiations would largely have been favourable for him, I can't see any reason why he would agree to that. He'll get a substantial pay out if fired.
  23. I was vocal at the start of the season that Warne deserved a chance with with a squad with more players that he was able to bring in, and a clean slate. It has become clear however that any progress is minimal or negligible, given the funds he has had available at League One level, it's reasonable to expect much more. I think I'd feel differently if it was that we were building a young squad with potentially moving forward, however I just don't see what Warne's vision is from here. We've a squad of quite aging players with little resale and what seems like little potential for promotion with almost no prospect of staying up if it got there. It's time to hit reset. As a club, we should pivot to playing possession based football and using academy players and stick to it.
  24. Thing is, it is clearly going to be costly to fire Warne, but it's also something to consider that the crowds could theoretically drop to 23k or lower with these performances, and that will come at significant cost to the club too. That has to be factored into the decision making.
