  1. You've stated twice that my opinion is everything wrong with football. I'd describe that as being outraged yes.
  2. Yes, Rosenior's football was polarising too. But probably more about results than the manner of performances. It was clear I was discussing next season rather than this one from my first post on the matter. I think Warne's done a commendable job this season in keeping the momentum up. It is as simple as I just don't feel he will be the right person to take us any further. Not sure why it is warranting quite such outrage posting from you really.
  3. A good example is that Derby should have sacked Billy Davies when they were promoted last time. They didn't and it was a mistake. Warne is obviously not the same basket case, the overarching point though is that a manager being right for the situation we are in now doesn't mean they will be moving forwards.
  4. Evidently not. It's a gamble one way or another, probably more risky to fire Warne. It would be my preference to roll the dice personally as I think the potential upside could be higher.
  5. Not saying what I think Clowes will do, this is all of course just my opinion. The sense is that it gives us the opportunity to build a squad for a new manager with a new direction and a clean slate. I would argue that it could well be a wise use of resources as the alternative could be far more costly. Say if we are to invest everything into the team Warne wants, and things don't work in the Championship, aren't we then entrenched into the Warne style by having players purchased to play that way? My opinion on the style of play is based from what we've seen so far. Maybe it'll change with better players, I imagine that fundamentally it will be the same as we've seen. Personally, I don't really enjoy that. Some people probably do which is fair enough, but you have to admit that at the very least the style is polarising amongst the fans which is never a positive.
  6. Never claimed anything to the contrary. We'd be even less of a pull for managers if we for example hit November and decide to fire Warne in a panic if we weren't doing well.
  7. Naturally. But meeting a short term goal isn't the be all and end all.
  8. I never said I felt it was likely. It's just the opinion I'm of really. None of us know what it'll be like, I just personally haven't enjoyed the football very much this year which I can appreciate is down to personal taste. I just have a feeling it isn't going to translate well to being in the division above when we don't have such advantages. I don't think Clowes would do what I'm suggesting for a second. It could well have been determined by all of the above. And ultimately, if we see the job out it will be a success. I could be and would like to be wrong, I just have a feeling it won't be much fun for us next year. Everyone would take a mid table Championship season next year, and if Warne achieved that it would be a job well done. I'm slightly twitchy however that it'll be a real scrap at the bottom. Wednesday have awful recruitment of both the manager and players to blame and Plymouth are going to stay up from here.
  9. It's "everything that's wrong with football" that I could be of the opinion that the manager isn't right? Slightly reactionary.
  10. I'm sure this is a controversial take, but if we see out the job and secure promotion I think we should give Warne our sincere thanks, a good bonus and a full pay out of his contract and then we should part ways. Nothing against him personally, but I don't think the way we play football is sustainable for Derby in the long run, and I'm not sure Warne is the right man to take us any further. I'm sure that's not the way it will go, I just have a strong feeling that next year will be rough if we stay the same course.
  11. That team wasn't clogging around League One against awful opposition though was it?
  12. We were terrible and we no longer have control of our own destiny, I think it's pretty normal to be pissed off no?
  13. NML was like this last season too, he seems to run out of steam by the end of the season and become a passenger. Bad timing. Not sure what's going on with CBT, he looked shocking tonight.
  14. Genuinely quite fed up with this team now. They do decently well up to the point they actually find themselves in a good position and every time they just choke it and we got back to square one. Whether we squeak up or not, this team needs serious changes.
  15. 2 points dropped, not a good enough performance at all. NML and CBT missed huge chances and were both largely ineffective. Very disappointing evening.
  16. Very important last 20 minutes. This is a must win, come on Derby.
  17. Getting a lot of joy with breaking with pace so far, keep it up
  18. That is the miss of the season from CBT
  19. Linesman doesn't understand the rules, good start.
  20. You aren't a Derby fan. You've never once posted anything that isn't comically negative and frankly a bit daft. How you can be posting such rubbish after a hugely important win like that blows my mind really.
  21. No reason to be so defeatist. It's a blow but we can still win, and Waghorn is fit and Collins won't be too far off.
  22. Bolton drew 2 of their last 3 games, they just had one big win against Oxford. They are in worse form than we are. Wasn't that long ago they got panned by Blackpool and lost to Wigan. Don't let one game sway you. They've also only scored 3 more than us and have conceded 8 more.
  23. Same team, let's come out quickly from the start. This is the kind of game that is usually extremely tentative with neither side wanting to lose, but I hope Warne emphasises aggression in attack from the start to seize the momentum and get the crowd going. We're coming into this in great form, let's not worry about Bolton. If we play as well as we have been, we can win this.
  24. Boro, Birmingham or Wycombe, and I have absolutely no sympathy and will happily join in.
