Agreed but at various times since the Forest game, 4 players have been injured from that starting eleven - Shinnie, Bielik, Marriott and Clarke so that's been a major factor in all the chopping and changing we've seen since.
It's not been great for most of this season and we need to face up to the fact that a large number of this seasons' squad just aren't good enough for us to sustain a meaningful promotion challenge - the quality of the 3 loans last season probably masked that fact. The Dowell, Clarke and Paterson loans were a short-term, relatively inexpensive attempt to fill the gap left by Wilson and the 2 Chelsea loanees, giving Cocu time to look at other options in the squad before committing substantial fees on permanent replacements.
It's hardly surprising that we have a vocal minority of short-sighted fans wanting him out after little more than 6 months but I'm confident that MM will not be influenced by their negativity and is able to support Cocu in the transfer market, particularly next Summer.

Thank you for the kind words again everyone it truly means a lot to me and the mrs! An update on the rollercoaster  of emotions is as my messages last week there was fluid under the babies skin which shouldn't have been there so we had to go to grottingham on Thursday  for a CVS,  the experts had a scan before the test and I quote "we don't really know why you were sent here as at the minute everything seems to be fine, the down syndrome risk came back as 1 in 1668 which is good so they've told us to assume everything is normal and we need to go.back at the  beginning of January for another scan to see what's what. To say I was a mess this last week was an understatement (so much so I was odd work sick) but this news was amazing and means at least until next month we can carry on as normal and enjoy christmas. 😁

I’m still in the IN camp. Bit what’s worrying me slightly is the fact that he’s still unable to decide on his best XI from the, admittedly, limited squad he has available. Thought he’d stumbled into it with the diamond, but he lost his nerve after Forest. Bar Bogle’s screw up we looked ok and even with injuries, should’ve stuck with it

Not sure 'most' people wanted Johnson to go. I know some did though, got the impression on here that most would have liked to see him stay, on the deal that suited Derby.
I would have liked him to stay personally.

I think we can all agree that this current squad is a complete disjointed mess. People who think we should be challenging for promotion are leaving in a dream world. Let’s face it, without 2 of England’s brightest prospects and one of Wales’ star men (not Lawrence) we’d have never made it to Wembley last season. Unless you build a side over time (Norwich, Southampton, Sheffield Utd, Bournemouth), the only way you’ll achieve promotion is having a huge transfer and wage budget or you’re lucky enough to have incredible loan players like us last season. We do not have any of these factors now. This is a random blend of players from different manager eras and a few kids from the academy. It will never improve with a change of management.
Cocu has been stitched up from day one. If I walked into a new job and had to contend with poor preparation, lack of discipline of my team and terrible recruitment, I’d have been looking at the mirror thinking what on earth have I signed up for.
The guy has a big contract. Unless we seriously look like being relegated, why not give him the time and resource? It’s clear to me that he has no faith in the team because of all the changes and I don’t blame him. Not one bit. Let him build his own spine of a team. Not tinker with some absolute crap from years gone by.

I force myself to try and look at everything in a positive light. I try to be a good person every single day. Sometimes it seems like I'm getting somewhere. Then I get hit harder than ever.
This week has been such a long story but to cut it short, my wife is not in a good way. It started with a twitching eye on Wednesday but has moved on to full blown facial paralysis and now full body tremors. I've just had to transport her to bed. The past few days I've had next to no sleep with hospital visits. Getting nowhere with wards contradicting eachother. As well as taking care of a potentially autistic 2 and a half year old. Yes we have help but not enough. It can be a hindrance at times.
How am I supposed to go back to work and actually earn money to live too?

Really sorry to hear all that @Mucker1884. No words of wisdom, don't know you but get the impression you are a good bloke and would have been a good brother to your sister.
All the best to you and your family at this difficult time.

Things can change very quickly in football. Take Blackburn Rovers as an example. October saw them pick up 2pts and had their fan base calling for a change of manager. Their manager even came out and pretty much said he didn't need the hassle and could walk away quite easily. Fast forward 8 games and 6 wins later and they sit just 1pt outside the play offs and 3pts from 3rd place. Yes there is very little positives to find for ourselves at the moment but it just goes to show that a bit of patience can sometimes be rewarded with an upturn in fortunes. Will Cocu turn it around? I've absolutely no idea but at this present time a change of manager isn't the way to go for me despite how grim things currently look.

I dont boo, and I think it's completely pointless during the match.
I do understand voicing your frustrations at the end of the game.
And if any of the players are sitting there feeling sorry for themselves after the reaction they got yesterday, I would ask them to watch it back and listen to the reaction they got for the 20 minutes they bothered to put effort in.
I dont think as a fanbase we demand perfection or brilliance, but we do demand effort and commitment.
Give us that and you will get your support.

Dont forget also last Johnson and Bryson who both played significant parts of our campaign, and who both would have improved yesterdays team.
Personally I hope he doesnt spend money for the sake of it in Jan. Rather see us improve if we can 'cheaply', get through this season and then use whatever budget he has in the summer.
Judge End Nov next year...if things still look poor then maybe its the time.
