Great. The only person to score for Derby yesterday wasn’t on the pitch

A good test to see whether the manager and the players read the forum…
Will they do a throwing confetti celebration if we score a goal?
My wedding starts at kick off. 😆

DenmarkRam reacted to Sam_Brown in Pompey Fan in peace. How many are coming to Fratton Park in April?
Ah. Yes. Fratton Park is only just shy of 21k. We have a very loyal fan base and as you’d expect tickets go fast. As someone who doesn’t live down south anymore even I struggle to get tickets at the moment. You guys have great support so it’s a shame more couldn’t come but I’m sure you’ll be more than a match when it comes to volume levels! Even though I’m nervous about our game I’m looking forward to the atmosphere.
I am with you though on away ticket issues. One of my frustrations this season is being unable to get away tickets due to uptake and as I’m not in Portsmouth I don’t have a season ticket.
If we do go up one of my biggest pluses is the ability to go to bigger grounds where hopefully more away tickets will be available. We took 4K to London Road today and could have sold more. You’d have thought we were the home team!
I’ve never been to Pride Park before but looks like a fantastic stadium and atmosphere based on what I saw from your game vs Bolton today. Derby is pretty much a “home game” for me being up this end so hopefully we both get to go up and I get to visit your ground as it’s one I’ve wanted to for a while.

DenmarkRam reacted to On the Ram Page in Peterborough
Just have a feeling Peterborough are the dark horses to watch out for. They played very well at Pride Park and seem to have got over a very dodgy period, with now 5 wins on the trot and scoring goals for fun. They had a a 3-1 win over Stevenage last night but got absolutely battered by Stevenage for 60 minutes. Without resorting to too much fouling they were just too physically strong for Peterborough who hardly got a kick before getting a breakaway penalty which was totally avoidable. Could easily have been 2 or 3 down by then.
So they are having some luck too. Saturday is a pivotal day as they play Portsmouth and obviously we have Bolton. Should have a good idea of what will be what after Saturday.

What a super referee. Let the game flow and most importantly gave us every single decision.

A good win against the top scoring side in the country. Our 2nd win in 3 games means we climb another 2 places in the table.

a) Attending football matches is not compulsory. If you don’t enjoy it, perhaps try doing something else on a Saturday afternoon. I promise you, you won’t be missed.
b) This is utter nonsense. We are second in the League. Any fan who works as part of a team that is second best out of 24 is not losing their job. They are probably getting a large bonus. The job of the players is to get us promotion. They may or may not achieve it, but they are on track so far.
c) May I ask what you were expecting for this season?? Win most games 5-0 and cruise to promotion?? We have only been promoted automatically once in the last 37 years, and now we have a great chance to make it twice. Two more away wins would make this our best away season ever. 20 more points from the last 12 games would make this our best season in modern times (in terms of total points and points per game since 3 points for a win; I’m not equating it to winning the entire League). We may not achieve that but goodness me, if this is the most negative you’ve ever been then I don’t know what to tell you. But it’s definitely a you problem, not the problem of the current players, manager and owner.

I think that’s the point when everyone gets pro or anti Warne. .. The poor passes, the missed opportunities. Is that really a lousy manager or coaching ethic ? Or is it just ability mixed with a rough day ?
Anyway, tough game, got nothing, probably deserved a point, didn’t get one, neither did Bolton. That’s football. … need 3 next game. Not much else to say except Bradley has shed his whipping boy mantle, which poor effer is next I wonder ?

DenmarkRam reacted to Gabby'sThighs in Joey Barton sacked
I think it's funny that Barton's own logic removes him from the conversation. Do I want to listen to a guy who had bags of talent but didn't achieve half as much as he could have because he's a violent thug? He arguably stopped playing at a top level by, what, 26? And mainly because he kept assaulting people or pointlessly arguing with managers. If he had a redemption arc, there would be some value to his story but he seems to be the same d*ckhead he was 20 years ago. But you can make a career these days by appealing to the online manosphere and saying click-baity things, which I guess is easier for him than trying to be a really good football manager. I've got a feeling he'll retire with 'once got Bristol Rovers promoted in 3rd place' as his only managerial achievement, alongside his single England cap.
For the record, I think most punditry is awful, and 90% of football coverage is garbage. Are there some crap female pundits? Certainly. Are there hundreds of crap male pundits? Yep, only most of them.

Always watch, & find Shaun the Sheep’s forensic analysis spot-on. Also like Shaun’s sartorial selection & the fact that it’s usually a b&w blend. @Owen87ITK is also the perfect host. I’ve never done the extended Facebook thing but would love it if fans could be engaged with a bit more. I’ve suggested this before and it was pooh-poohed with “you’d just end up with Derek from Burton” but I do think it would work. There are a lot of very knowledgeable Rams fans who’d add value so I’m sure it would work with a bit of thought.

DenmarkRam reacted to Jourdan in January- An opportunity to be in the race for the automatics
It’s a cliche but the best approach to take things one game at a time.
The first step is bouncing back quickly and getting a positive result v Fleetwood to consolidate our position in the top six. We can’t take that for granted in itself.
There is no point focusing on other teams and getting wrapped up in chasing them down. They are not going to be worrying about us.
Portsmouth, Bolton and Peterborough will simply be looking to win the next game and maintain their own pace. Barnsley, Oxford and Stevenage will be pushing hard too.
We have to focus on ourselves and get the small wins and things will snowball. If we can stay laser focused and routinely win the games we would be expected to, it puts less pressure on the games v the top 6/7.

That is a problem. Even if things were completely in proportion, there would be a lot of old white men, no longer the kings of the castle. As someone gains power and agency, someone else always loses it, and those people aren’t happy.
Slave owners in the American south weren’t too happy after the civil war. I’d say ‘but they got over it,’ but they didn’t really. It’s never fixed. Like I said, antibiotics, it might seem fixed, but follow doctors orders, complete the course of antibiotics, or the illness comes back with a vengeance.
id say the full course for this issue is like 20 years of people like yourself saying it’s already better. When discussions like this don’t even exist. Then we can probably stop taking the antibiotics.
