Both Cloughs might have been sacked using the same criteria - certainly, no-one was convinced by Nigel at the end of his first half-season, though iirc with his Dad the fans could see that something was building, particularly after a 4-0 victory over top of the table QPR towards the end of the season. 
We've had so many managers, eventually successful, whose initial impact seemed "meh" at best, but now they're instantly compared to Nigel Pearson, and not, say, George Burley or even Arthur Cox, who both had to resurrect the club from virtual bankruptcy. As a fanbase, we seem to have gone from immensely relieved and grateful to survive to entitled and hyper-critical in record time. We're "so over" Administration and teetering on the edge of liquidation, aren't we?! 

Good to see some sensible comments on here still. The reality of tonight is that an individual error has cost us the game.
On another night Davies doesn’t do that and who knows, maybe their man is sent off for that challenge on Smith and we dominate the second half.
 

To be honest I think the summer signings were just getting bodies through the door. Weren’t we in preseason with absolutely nobody?
I think it’s 100% going to be a rebuild. Signing how many players over the age of 30 was never us building for the future, it was getting a team that can compete in league 1 whilst spending no money. For a while I was worried that we would go straight down to league 2 as we would be playing kids. 
What would you have preferred this summer? We bide our time and only sign players that fitted a 5 year plan?

I get he had preferred style of players, but Rosenior even admitted that they lost a lot of players from the takeover dragging on.
Warne and Rosenior have very different styles. Even if Warne adopts a new style of play to suit the players, that isn’t going to happen in 6 games or whatever it’s been.
I just wish fans would give him this season as a minimum without getting on his back. I’m so fed up of new managers and everyone thinking that will solve everything.

That’s fair enough. We shall see how the season pans out and who remains next year.
I said bodies through the door to show we signed how many players in a short space of time whilst missing out on targets. We must have spoken to over 30 players in the summer at a guess and I bet that’s still lower than the reality.
We played a side tonight that have been in league 1 how many years and have an established team.
Have we ever started that combination of 11 players together that started tonight…I’d say probably not.

We have to give him at least the season…….whether he does well or not.

Were you living under a rock during Wayne Rooney’s spell of about nine defeats in 10 at the end of 2020/21?
We were absolutely garbage.
Tonight we were poor and beaten by a better side. But nowhere near as bad as that spell when we were losing 4-0 at Cardiff and 3-0 at Preston.

Ipswich, for their part, were pretty crap as well. They created little more than we did and won because of a total gift.
