I have some very sad news this evening.  Daniel (B4) died earlier this week. He was just 38.
As you know, he has been battling numerous health conditions for a long time, but always remained cheerful  and was the most loyal supporter of his beloved Rams, home and away.
He was at the match at Crewe and gave his full support as always.
Daniel leaves behind a grieving dad, mum and sister. Our thoughts go out to them and we only hope they get a little comfort from knowing how well loved Daniel is by all who know him.
Here are a couple of photos that his dad agreed could be shared. I'm sure many of you have others, as Daniel loved a selfie at the game.
David is hoping to arrange a more fitting tribute in time, but for now please raise a glass in his memory and a good Derby win today. I am sure that's what Daniel would have been doing tonight.

And Paul Warne says a draw feels like a win.
Lower league manager disappointed not to win. Warne says a draw feels like winning.
This isn't really the level of expectations I'd expect from us.

So now I can't understand why Clowes didn't give the job to Rosenior. He's willing to let us be abysmal under Warne under the belief he'll give us stability, and eventually promote us. A man who I don't think gives a monkey's for this club - he said he didn't care for our history.
Rosenior who stuck with us through awful times, who had us playing some great football and some dull (not awful, just dull) stuff too. Why didn't Mr Clowes appreciate what he'd already committed to the Club and give him a chance?

Am I the only one that was irked by these comments?
Whose fault is it exactly if we are not a top three team in this league?
Perhaps I’m being arrogant/entitled/both but Derby County should be a top one team in League One and if we’re not the manager is also heavily responsible for this.

I understand what your saying but apparently yesterday was his 50th game in charge. Ask yourself, are we any better now than when he took over? In my opinion I would say both in attack and midfield we are weaker. Remember this is also his 2nd transfer window regardless of restrictions or not.
Along with throwing a couple of players under the bus in an interview from a self confessed relationships manager and some awful football, I think people are well within there rights to question if he is the right person for the job.

Hes on borrowed time and Clowes has a decision to make and whichever it is , its gonna cost him a shed load of money.
Keep warne on and crowds will drop, 4/5k drop at £20 ahead is nearly 100k a game.
Sack him, then you need to pay him and his assistant's their contracts.
Big decision, but personally I'd get rid. It looks like he's lost the dressing room, the fan base are turning on him at a rapid rate.
Even more so is that with each game our assets who will command a fee ( Bird/Cashin) look lost in this anti football warne has adopted and there price is dropping.
We need a club that has youngsters coming through and we still have rooney,Thomson, sibley along with bird and cashin who I would want to build a team around but it requires a manager who understands technical abilities and Warne is one who doesn't.

Read my previous post, the decision is entirely up to PW and what he wants to do and I'm not saying I would drop him or expect him to be dropped.
I am concerned that Bradley is exposed centrally in a 3 because our midfield is expected to get in the area when ward gets the ball to support Collins. This means we play very high up the pitch
Also remember Wigan had another 1-on-1 where again Bradley was exposed but the chance was missed. The gaps in our midfield are exposing a centre half who probably in the air is the best in the league but on the floor he really needs protection. PW if playing him centre of a three must sort out the midfield and how we attack hence why I said the mistake was avoidable.

Don't care what Paul Warne has done in the past, great for his CV and applying for other jobs which he got at Derby.
I'll judge him on what he's done in this job and by his own admission he failed last year. Yesterday's result/performance puts more doubt in my mind about him.

I've seen enough from last season and today (summer included) to know that Paul Warne will not be here come next season.
Book mark it and ram it in my face if  I'm wrong.
Tactically very naive and he clearly struggles when it comes to transfers. He talks a good game, but that's about ya lot.

Jeez, you do make it sound like it will be quite difficult to get top 6 in what is a shyte league.  With our budget, and support, if he doesn’t achieve top 2 this season Warne should be sent by return post to little old Rovrum.

OK, lets apply some context to that particular stat.
The reality is Derby are flat track bullies under Warne - we fill our boots against the minnows of this division by utilising quality players that 20 other clubs in this division could only dream of fielding but when we play anyone in the top half, our record is particularly poor. Remember we're not talking exclusively top 6 sides with these massive squads that you seem to believe Warne is bravely competing against but also includes the llkes of Lincoln, Exeter & Shrewsbury, all non-league sides in recent memory.
    The situation after 25 league games under Warne is as follows;

Even if you accept that you're more likely to get better results against lesser sides than better sides, that is a staggering mismatch & highlights that Warne's record is embellished by the paucity of opposition he has faced as manager. It also does not bode well for the playoffs, should we make them.
The record against top half sides suggests that Warne is struggling to engineer results against better organised & well resourced teams - this is where tactical nous & proper use of his squad is essential. There is much discussion about the squad but the reality is Curtis Davies, Sibley (in his right position), Liam Thompson, Jake Rooney (until yesterday) & Tony Springett are not being used to any extent at all - this makes no sense given the style of play & energy levels needed to employ that style. I don't accept these players are a significant step down in quality from the first XI.
Warne has a very functional & predictable style of play where he is heavily reliant on the individual parts of his team rather than the sum being greater than the parts - that is going to come unstuck against better teams & is borne out by both the results so far this season & his record with Rotherham in the Championship. To return to your quote, that is why some of us have significant reservations about him.
