1967Ram reacted to maxjam in No replays in the FA Cup from the First Round.
Of course they only consulted 20 teams.
Football didn't exist before 1992 and everything below the PL is a money leaching burden.

Remember cup vouchers in your season ticket. They were fun and ensured plenty in for an early doors cup match.

Excellent statement by Tranmere.

If the PL don't want replays, perhaps they can agree to forfeit the right to progress in the competition if they don't win the tie. Win and you're through, lose or draw and the non-PL team progresses - if two PL teams play each other they can toss a coin for all I care.....(which is an appropriate method given that this decision has shown them to be a bunch of tossers)....

The Bolton result was massive, we had no room for error before then.
Now, even worst case scenario and we lose and Bolton win. We still play the bottom of the table at home, needing to win and improve our goal difference. And a draw keeps it totally in our hands.
It's almost a free hit tomorrow, which for our stress levels and their mentality is massive. No early goal or even a goal against us tomorrow isn't panic stations, as a draw is still 'fine'.
I just can't see us not winning at least one of those 2 games and that will be enough I think regardless.
We can go out confident but not desperate, gradually put the squeeze on them (they would take a draw I'm sure), don't give them any chances and go for the win but with an eye on not conceding.
Can't see us changing much.
Back 3 worked, Sibley and Wilson give us an outlet. Also gives us the option of 3 in the middle. Can't see us throwing Bird straight in, Hourihane is being edged out. Adams and Smith have been great. Thompson gives us energy, why change it. Collins starts...
NML hasn't been as good as he can be and ends up out of position, but Collins and Washington looked dreadful the other week...so we go again and can change style with CBT coming on wide with NML, Barks can come anywhere along the line and Washington or Waghorn give us more goal threat if needed or a more obvious 2 up top.
Can't see any reason anything can go wrong.....

I doubt that Collins would have been in the box in the first place...he's reverted back to being anywhere but where he needs to be!
Gayle on the other hand would have both been in the box at the right time and have had the ability to score both.

Nothing would be more derbyesque than a 40 page argument about how we should be allowed to celebrate before promptly losing to Cambridge and Carlisle. Why don’t we simply not worry about it and act accordingly when/if the time happens. And by accordingly I mean alcohol.

I'll be celebrating but my emotions will be more relief that we're out of this absolute pit of a division.

Thousands of fans running over the pitch might do damage to the playing surface. Actually, now I think about it, it would probably improve it.

Pompey fans assaulted a Barnsley player on the pitch and some pubs were looted on the night in Southsea, hopefully if we do get to celebrate we do it in style and not like idiots .

Very Probably Not.

Not be long before every man and his dog are on the dodgy sticks.
Sky, the premier league and the EFL could see illegal streaming as a symptom of what they have created and try to proactively meet fans halfway and come up with a solution that doesn’t harm the pyramid but allows for clubs to still stream.
Instead they treat illegal streaming as a problem in its own right.
An example of an idea which will have its obvious flaws but gets a conversation started:
Clubs can stream to fans who have a paid membership. This membership allows fans access to purchasing the stream for a match.
Membership fees go into a pool to be redistributed across the football pyramid.
Clubs earn their revenue from the sale of the stream not the membership.

Is that 2 or 3 trips, with return tickets? I'm paying £20 a month to watch the games over here in Spain. At a 5er I'd be better going over to watch a few games.

1967Ram reacted to Simmo’s left foot in RamsTV next season
This is not a step forward at all, it stifles competition and turns it into a closed shop for the benefit of Sky. Shame on the EFL for signing such a deal. and shame on the clubs for agreeing to it also.
I will continue to subscribe to Rams TV, my overseas trips currently cost me £5 per month 🙂 Will sky be showing all matches live like Rams TV does? I doubt it! I won't give my money to Sky TV on principle.
All fans should boycott Sky TV, they are destroying football in my opinion.

There is a problem with sleep as you get older.
When I was younger I used take a nap now am older the nap takes me, I often wake up at the end of a film and wonder what happened to the middle bit of the film.😂😂
I have never fallen asleep during a Derby match there’s always too much drama .
i just want two more wins for the Rams with as little drama as possible and I will be happy Ram 🐏

So Adult - 10+ years - Corner = £405.60 for this "Phase 1" period. (*There's no mention of any birds, early or otherwise, I notice!)
Looks like I paid £345.80 for this season, so +£59.80 (17.3%)
As others have said, it's been a while!
And at 23No games per season, this new improved (👀) price equates to £17.63 per game. Just about VFM, even for this dirty, disgusting, mind-numbing level of inadequacy! 🤣
...And it's not like I spend a fortune/feel obliged to buy rip-off replica shirts, like some do.
Ergo... I'm gonna refrain from moaning, and will renew, whether that be next week or the day before the deadline. (Decisions, decisions!)

EDIT:
I could of course negate this year's increase by moving to the other side of the stairs, which I assume would be enough to take me from "Corner" to "Behind the goal". I'm happy where I am, so maybe next year!

I've already renewed my ST because no matter what division they may play in, and yes, I moan and have a go at the players from time-to-time, I've always supported my club - Derby County F.C.
Yes, I can afford to have a ST and I understand others cannot pay out such a sum, especially with other commitments and cost of living issues, however, it doesn't matter if you only go and watch 5 or 10 matches a season, you are still a Rams fan as far as I'm concerned and whatever support you give the club, it matters.
Championship or League 1 again, always support your club.

1967Ram reacted to Cam the Ram in Match Thread: Leyton Orient (h)
I still think we'll win because we've got the better players and Orient don't have a lot to play for now, but dropping a winger and striker for a centre back and centre mid after we've just failed to score against Wycombe seems a strange choice. And it feels quite harsh on CBT .... Sonny lets the team down and comes straight back in as soon as his suspension is up, but CBT is dropped after his mistake.

Cross should have come earlier and been played on the ground.
CBT should still do better.
Takes an extra touch here when the ball should be played.

1967Ram reacted to PuP in Match Thread: vs Portsmouth (a)
Hi, Pompey supporter with our take on lasts nights game. I think the weather made the game less of a spectacular affair but the players, from both teams, put on a really good display. I thought Derby adapted to the conditions better than Pompey where the conditions negated the effectiveness of our wingers Lane and, especially, Kamara. I suppose you could say the same for Blackett-Taylor & Mendez-Lang, both players I would have liked Pompey to have signed. I think Derby quite possibly had the greater attacking threat on the counter in the first half whereas ours was a little laboured due to not being able to adapt to the conditions. I read with interest of the disagreement with your managers choice of the tactics in the second half. However, without a wonder goal he may well have got it right. Closing players down in those conditions was risky as slipping on the surface could let players in. Portsmouth usually play a closing down game but not so much last night. I think overall a draw was a fair result last night which probably benefits us more than your lot.
I think the controversial situations were fairly evenly spread out. There was a handball leading up to our equaliser and I think VAR might have ruled out our first goal. Handling the ball by the keeper is a sending off offence normally but I think the ref got it right by allowing for the conditions. I don't think it was a 'nailed on penalty' because I think our player was looking to go down anyway, but on another day it could be given.
I thought it was a proper game of football from two famous old clubs. It was good to see the ground full with a decent away following that made themselves heard, which is normally difficult at Fratton Park. The game, allowing for the conditions, was a good advert for League One where both teams look ready for the Championship.
