  1. Best performance since the turn of the year that for me (not hard, granted), accounting for the quality of the opposition. Controlled the vast majority of the game, zipped the ball around with pace and purpose, and eventually created some real good quality chances second half. Probably lucky to have the clean sheet, but equally unlucky to have only scored 3. Real good match of football - why can’t we pass like that every week? Maybe the pitch being as s**** as ours helped us!
  2. Get in Waghorn! He had to score after missing that tap in
  3. Probably the best “footballing” half we’ve seen in a while, in terms of how we’ve controlled possession and zipped the ball about with pace. As has been a recurring problem all season however, we have little to show for it. You’ve got to be created more clear cut chances with that much possession. Think we will regret not getting our noses in front while we had the chance - Bristol won’t be as bad as that second half.
  4. Bird missing is a huge blow. Adams is going to have to put in the performance of his life to carry Hourihane in that midfield two, not sure why Smith isn’t in instead. Suspect it’ll be bypass the midfield and lump it forward again. I’m not hopeful.
  5. I mean I’m a random guy on a football forum, I doubt anyone will believe me, and nor should they probably. Just adding to the conversation around whether Warne will stay or go. It’s not like he’s told anyone he’s definitely leaving btw, just the impression someone I know has links within the club has about his future. Nobody knows what will happen at the end of the season yet, so to be honest It’s probably not even worth discussing at this point in time.
  6. I believe so yes, not name dropped but there’s certainly indications that the signings of Washington and Bradley in particularly were essentially “forced” through by Warne, even though others had their reservations. Think the way those signings have turned out won’t have done Warne any favours in the regard.
  7. From what I’m told, Clowes absolutely loves Warne and wouldn’t sack him within the term of his contract, no matter what happens. HOWEVER… he’s about the only one at the club who feels that way. Many other senior figures lost faith in him long ago. In fact, I was told the other day that Warne is likely to resign at the end of this season irrespective of promotion, such is the strain of those other relationships.
  8. Though history will tell a different story, I think this Sheffield united side is worse than our 11 point team
  9. I’ve got to up at 5am to get a train to Birmingham. Could this get any more miserable. Thanks a lot Derby
  10. 8 minutes added time, do we have to? I need to wash my hair
  11. Should’ve put a bet on. There’s 3 certainties in life - death, taxes, and Derby throwing away leads
  12. This has happened far too many times for the blame not to go to the very top. It’s possible to avoid so many individual mistakes by setting up a system properly to control a football match.
  13. Maybe so, but it counts for nothing when we keep throwing leads away.
  14. To be fair, even on this forum, I’d say there’s more Warne doubters than Warne lovers. It’s just a vocal minority who defend him.
  15. Wildsmith being a moron isn’t Warne’s fault. Our deplorable performance in the second half is.
  16. Because we have a squad way too good for this league. They cover up the deficiencies of an inept manager
  17. Because it happens every game. I’ll be optimistic once the PE teacher is gone.
  18. Quote me at the end of the game. There’s only one team winning this now. This team has no balls. It’s depressingly predictable.
  19. Could’ve seen this coming a mile off. I’ve never seen a team with as poor game management as us. 3 at the back works wonders again
