I stick up for myself and others in my jobs I've had but eventually ended up ill and unemployed. Principles, hard graft and doing the right thing don't always get you where you want to be. Arse licking , back stabbing and having no dignity often do though. It's just a case of what is the most intrinsically important to the individual I guess.
