Why are people using wages as an excuse why we can't afford Clarke? Surely we've been paying his full wages for the past 2 seasons, so we should be able to next season too...

Interesting he isn’t in their U23 squad, could mean a move somewhere is on the cards. Can’t say he’s one I know much about, but if he’s a CDM, then that’s definitely a position we could do with an incoming in, now that Bielik is done and Evans is gone.

I bet any parent can’t wait for having to do the extra 150 miles round trip five times a week when there is a proven academy on their door step.

Imagine being branded "ill advised" when he'll have the chance to play for Liverpool, in the Champions League and a better chance to play for England. The chance to pay off his mortgage, his mums mortgage and still have enough to waste on 28 average sports cars of his choice by the end of his first pro deal. 
Or stay at Derby where wages don't get paid on time and you may end up in League One. 

 

Someone is badly advising this lad it seems. I for one say let him go, if he doesn't want to be here, then I don't want him. What will probably happen is that he will go to Liverpool, get next to no opportunities due to all the talent ahead of him, and his development will stagnate. He has realistically way more of a chance at future first team football here, if he can't see that then either him, or his advisors are not very bright.
If what has been stated is true and we have offered him a deal and he has refused to sign because Liverpool have come sniffing around, I for one will not loose any sleep over it.

I highly doubt Kaide will play for Liverpool, especially now as questions are being asked due to their drop in form.
The chances are we will see him on loan at some other Championship club, but oh well just another promising English youngster whose potential could be stunted due to bad choices.
He could be in our first team next season. Instead he will sit in their youth team.

Gordon is the next Harvey Elliott. Very similar skill sets, age, etc. Time will tell for both of them whether the path they have taken will be the right one. 

Well, we were looking at an ageing Billy Sharp and according to this Pigott, a player with no championship pedigree...perhaps the latter would be the Lester of two evils ?

What on God's green earth has the Bellingham deal got to do with Kaide? One's a transfer fee, for a player who'd had a whole season of senior squad football, the other is compensation for a player whose not even signed a pro contract yet, hasn't started a single senior match and apparently doesn't want to sign for Derby anyway! Cheers Kaide by the way!
How can you possibly compare the two? There is literally nothing we can do about it.
