    Its obvious isnt it.
They just keep derailing our seasons time and time again, how many transfer windows have we been affected by embargos?
As soon as there is a sniff of a takeover or any kind of good news for the club they hit us with a charge.
The strangest thing about this whole affair is the fact the club have gained absolutely nothing from overspending. The fact we have just avoided relegation and are in a financial mess at the same time as overspending (according to p&s) says to me the rules are wrong.
This is nothing more than Parry vs Mel Morris, a battle of egos and us fans are innocent bystanders caught in the crosshairs.

However it is exactly what you are proposing that has got us in this mess. Poor ownership,  and managerial merry-go-round.  We need to stick with someone and give them.time to weed out all the players  from the previous 7 managers and build a team by one

You could argue that with out the managerial bounce we appeared to have when Rooney took over, we could have been relegated a while back.
This season is no way a success whatever happens.
But why are we blaming Rooney?????????????????
Cocu was sacked and Rooney was instilled in his place? Why? Money (he is already on the books? Poor management from the top there.
At least Rooney had the cahooners to take the job on, very risky when the team is at the foot of the table in your first tenure as a manager, this could seriously dent his stock for all time in that role.
Cocu in my opinion was dealt a very very very poor hand and if he was backed, he might have been a success. Yes I agree we can't play his style of football because we don't have the players. But at another club with funding, Perhaps he would have been a success. Was this his fault??? Maybe for not being adaptable to championship football but overall, no not his fault.
I have said this elsewhere, we have a team cobbled together from Cloughs days here, and every other manager in between. Pretty difficult to play a style when your team is built on several styles.
So going back to the original post, no this season will not be seen as a success, staying up will be a bonus but should not be seen as a success, but I feel it is a little harsh on Rooney who having been employed without his coaching badges, no experience or funding is very harsh.

Whether we stay up or get relegated it should just be seen as an opportunity rather than negative or otherwise labels. I am seeing.
Our priority is to bring in some decent experience with the right mentality on the field. The club have been totally unfair on the development of our young players through over selection. I don’t blame Rooney for this as he has tried to rest them but has little alternative. if we have to sell some young talent to raise funds then this is what we have to do.
whatever the result on Saturday, it is onwards and upwards having cleared out a weak bunch of players.
I am looking forward to the next phase. 😊

Mel Morris practically begged for it this season. Didn't fund the striker for Cocu at the start of the season, appointed a rookie coaching team who were apart of the previous manager's setup, pissed about with the takeover causing all sorts of problems and has now decided to stick with Rooney for the run in. He couldn't have done much more to send us down if he tried.
