You'd have to commit GBH as a Burton player to get a yellow card tonight.

Perhaps your right , perhaps threads like this should be shut down because actually there is no way that they can be separated from the politics and ideological, they chug along fine if they are an echo chamber and used to push one view , if that is challenged then the poo hits the fan ,,,
why bother posting on them then people may ask ?   Well I don’t use any other form of social media and found this site through my love of derby county , little by little I came to see it as community and became involved , I take part in all areas of it , that has expanded from just the football which I still very avidly read and exchange opinions and experiences on , I have noticed quite a few posters who wernt on track with the message away from the football section have just stopped bothering to post ,
    that’s quite sad really 🤷🏻‍♂️

Wheeeeey! I didn't put a single penny down on that fight. 🤣 😡
Sorry to the many fans of Callum and Liam Smith but they are soooo boring. They really don't react to anything. They don't change anything up. Who does Callum fight now? Does anybody care?

I couldn't disagree more with the points you've made in this thread. You don't fix or atone for racism with more racism. You have a generation growing up in this country who have been taught and (mostly) believed that everyone should be treated equally and judged as individuals, yet now they've had the rug pulled from under them because older generations feel guilty about how they previously behaved. For any older people who feel like they've been disproportionately advantaged in their lives I suggest you give away your house(s) and your money to minorities, rather than blithely stymie the career prospects of your children/grandchildren.

The guy is a knob, always has been, but I think there will be an awful lot of fans out there who agree with his point.
If anyone can seriously tell me that all of these women are there for their knowledge of the mens game then I'm afraid you're just kidding yourselves.
Football has become one massive box ticking exercise over the last 5/10 years whether you like to admit it or not.

Bird, and Hourihane to a degree, both have too much quality for this league. Both are capable of brilliance in their own ways. But you're right, they are so easy to get at, as well as too easy to have runners going past them when we're being countered.
But then we don't concede many goals. I think we can cope against anyone outside the top 8 with those 2 in there, but against the other 7, we do get properly overrun in midfield- and concede a disproportionate amount of goals.

Agree that doesn’t help either - Bird and Hourihane as a midfield two is too one paced. Bradley still scares me though when the ball goes near him.

So we won, so well done - job done! It was a bit of a mehe match, though, but we ended up with just a bit too much quality for them today.
However we were nearly undone by 3 "Warne-isms". Firstly going 3 at the back. Every time we've set up that way we've looked shaky at the back, and very time we switch to it towards the end of a match we look dodgy as well, and it has cost us - New Years Day being a case in point. There may have been a tactical reason, in that Warne was expecting an aerial bombardment, and in addition with Nymabe of to sun himself we are short at right back. But we didn't look good. Secondly playing Sonny Bradley nearly undid us, because he gave his man a free header. Even at this level, and at Fleetwood's lack of goal threat, he only needed the one chance. And thirdly for a large portion of the second half we were sat back inviting Fleetwood onto us. Whether it was Warne playing his "hold on to what we have nearly got our hands on", or Fleetwood making a formation change themselves that we didn't counter (not an impossibility, particularly the latter) I don't know. But simply hiding everyone in and around our area and just lumping the ball up field has only got one outcome, and out it came.
The introduction of Thompson made a big difference because suddenly we had someone who doesn't hide, but runs, chases and harries and wants to get the ball up the filed - just what we need to be doing. And the third goal was really well worked. I was about 90+% in the Warne Out camp before the good run, but am now miles away from that because he seemed to listen to what the fans were demanding, because he has brought football into our gameplay and we have hit good form. But his insistent traits, as we saw today, could still be our undoing. If we didn't keep going "everybody back and hold on tight" I would like to suggest that we could already be in the automatic places.
I really want to give Wilson man of the match because he had a terrific game, outshining Collins who played a blinder. interesting that he has come good just as we start playing more football! NML had a great game, with a load of tracking back in the mix as well, but for me MOM has to go to Max Bird who played really well, and had to tremendous assists.
And so to Homer Speedie. I don't need to say much because criticisms of the ref are all over this thread like a rash, instead of just in my match reports! ". Possibly 3 good penalty shouts turned down, a miniscule number of free kicks to us, and an absolute plethora to Fleetwood. Derby must be a really dirty team. I am also surprised he didn't give them at least one - they had two very clear non-shouts that have normally been given. And if Collins deserved a card for his clip of the heel on the touchline, the guy who cleaned Hourihane out late on the match should have been carded as well.
Ho hum. Never mind. We go on to the next match, and things are still looking good for us. How we'll get through the next few weeks with a right-back shortage I have no idea. I hope we can try something different to 3 at the back, because that will stymy our promotion push. But we have more than enough within the squad to drive clearly over the line.
    COME ON YOU RAMS.

'That dead footballer' happens to be our record goalscorer. And I don't think it was just that remark that has aroused suspicion - you seem to hate everything about the Derby fan experience whilst making up some irrelevant nonsense about a club down the road. When they were rotting in League One, they certainly weren't booming out anything - in fact, a lot of them abandoned the club & the place was like a morgue. Their support is an embarrassment & so are your comments.

Not sure what angers me more, the idea that some fans haven't heard of Steve Bloomer, or that U f****** 2 is a better replacement for the song. This thread is an utter mess 😂

A bunch of Notts numpties singing aboiut a Scottish peninsula is one of the most embarassing things in football - if you like that and know nothing about Derby's history, you may well be going to the wrong ground for your football 'entertainment'.....

I doubt there a many fans who actually know or really care who Steve Bloomer is.
Had it not been for the song, I wouldn't have heard of him and even now, the only thing I know is that he's a former payer who did quite well and who died around 100 years ago.
I have never quite got the song, and as walk on music or music to work the crowd up; it's something of an embarrassment.

Having said that, I find the stupid bounce an embarrassment. When I go to a game, I like to sit and watch and enjoy. I don't need the hassle or pressure of having to sing a song with my daughter containing expletives and then bouncing up and down like some deranged zombie.
I find the stupid 'This is Derby' poem they play a major embarrassment. The words are actually cringeworthy.
I was watching Forest v Man Utd the other day and I was thinking just how much 'Mull of Kintyre' is working for them down the road. So much better than what we have.

So everyone clapping, lots singing, with a finale of a loud “Derby!” isn’t building the atmosphere just seconds from kick off?
How would listening to music get the crowd engaging en mass anymore than this does?

Unless it’s less noise you want while you check your bets online? 😂

The thing is it wasn’t even that we couldn’t afford them. Rhodes messed us around and didn’t show up for his medical - it’s not often I agree with Warne’s quite extreme “character” policy with new signings, but I wouldn’t want a player here who did that. No matter how many goals he’s scored since.
The Alfie May one does frustrate me though. Available for £250k, surely to goodness we could’ve afforded to spend SOME money after the sales we made. Absolute bargain in my opinion, and I’m not remotely surprised to see him banging the goals in - he was the best player on the pitch when he played us last season.
We’re doing pretty well without them of course, and you don’t HAVE to have a 20 goals striker to get promoted - if you spread the goals out like we’re doing. But I do feel the fine line between us and the top 2 at the moment is down to our weaker attacking threat compared to our defensive solidity. We never really replaced McGoldrick - as talented as John-Jules is, there’s little point in signing a player who can’t actually start a football match. The absolute number one priority this window has to be that top quality moment 9 in my opinion.

He reads information that is in the public domain reports on it, he's no more specialist than me. I dont understand how he has marketed himself as a 'football finance expert', there is nothing specialist about football finance, they follow exactly the same rules as every other company.
Obviously if you can show me what qualification he has that makes him more of an expert in reading a football clubs set of accounts than anyone else I'll be happy to reassess my opinion.
Until that point I will continue to view him as the s*** stirring charlatan that he proved himself to be with the point being discussed in this thread.
