I believe that the largest single group of any nationality among the new migrant Nurses at the Derby Royal is Phillipino - very good workers and, more importantly for the government, not militant and less likely to complain or go on strike. They need the money to send home to help their families and even the loss of one day's pay hits them hard, hence their compliance. I think that the government would be happy if the majority of British Doctors and Nurses were replaced by foreign staff. So much easier to bring to heel.

I don't think extrapolating from your experience of filling two houses is totally convincing, but it's interesting that the Brexit promises of more opportunity for British workers and better wages once a bar was put on the importation of cheaper EU labour has turned out to be the steaming puddle of arse-gravy that many of us knew it was at the time.

Well you obviously can't read. 2 x houses equals 12 nurses....on 2 week rotations for I'd say 40 weeks of the year. Gaps in between for deep cleaning and holiday periods etc.

So that's 20 x 12 = 240. And we are the overflow in a tiny town. I sont even know if we are the only overflow site in this town. The main bulk of the housing is on hospital grounds - you know, those things every single town has - and  i dont have those numbers. If you think 1200 positions cannot be filled, then I think you're deluded.

Brexit was never about skilled workers, as you know...and we can't have that debate.

Your stereotypical views are disgusting too. Compliance? Who the hell are you to state that?

  2. I have taken a 2nd job. Not really because of cost of living - I could get by, but I want to go on holidays and get a better car, so it kind of is.

Anyway, we have 2 houses full of (new to the) NHS nurses from abroad which stay for 2 weeks whilst bank accounts are opened and other formalities are sorted - such as their standard of work. The rotation is constant. These nurses will work in the East Midlands area only. I'm guessing other areas do the same. We house the overflow, meaning there are more going through this process on hospital grounds housing.  I don't know too much about the process, but they all seem to be from Commonwealth countries. I'm only in charge of their safety whilst they are in some of the houses, so I'm no expert on this, but this is just one town.

Anyway, from what I've seen 1200 new positions would be easily filled. Just my opinion.

Three seasons with the club, his last was statistically his best averaging just shy of 7.00 per game on Whoscored rankings. Only POTY Curtis Davies did better on 6.96 with Shinnie having himself been voted Fans Player of the Season the previous year. Lest this also be 'forgotten', he achieved this at a rather better level than that at which we currently reside and the ratings also indicate that far from being in decline, his performances improved year on year over his time at Pride Park. But yeah, not good enough for us in L1 ?

Playing more than 30 minutes in a game, he has been on the winning side 9 times in the last 54 games he has been involved in.

Was involved in 5 wins for us last season in 22 games, and when he was out of the squad directly before he left, we won 3 and drew 1 in those 4 games.

    What's the saying about stats?

  4. Let's be honest, last season he was late to the tackle, off the pace and had an above average game in every 7 or 8 matches.

He can't get in a poor Wigan team, he offers little on the ball and has no creativity. We don't need to be sat in the defensive shapes that suit his style. We need to be taking the game to the opposition, creating chances and winning games.

I'm happy he isn't coming back. I think he will struggle at Aberdeen too.

I like to think Warne has a plan. If that ever involved Shinnie I'd be worried.

Looks like there won't be for long :

I wonder if the government has been massaging the statistics again?

'Almost 7,000 left due to concerns about their work-life balance between July and September last year, the single biggest reason for leaving apart from contracts ending.'

7000 left for work/life balance and even more from contracts due to be ending anyway. Depends what stats you want to use and how to use them, but they are the reasons for over half those who have left. Not much you can do about that for a 24/7 organisation.

I'm knackered just watching that, the intensity from both sides I don't think I've ever seen a half as frantic as that. Would normally say wait for the side playing like that to tire but we're both chasing down everything so be interesting to see how second half shapes up; can't see that pace being sustained. Both sides certainly up for it.

Bolton looked like the team to drop the intensity as the half wore on.

I'm expecting another tough 20 to 25 mins before we start to take charge again.

For the FA cup game I want to buy a ticket for my neighbour who is 70+ so should be a fiver.

I got a FanID and can buy my ticket but if I select an extra ticket for the 65+ range, I don't seem to be able to do this online.

Any ideas how to do this without having to go ticket office?

"I have never purchased tickets with DCFC before:

If you have never bought a ticket with Derby County before (not just in the current season) then you will need to leave the FanID field blank when you register for an account. This will then generate you a new FanID."

Register him online, and link the generated Fan ID to your account.

  8. Rashford cannot start against France, imo. We need to keep possession as much as possible. Also, he is useless at tracking his man back.

Have a look at the Wales game and you will see him lose his man from their goal kick multiple times by about 20 yards. Ward kept pinging it out to his man.  He's just not switched on enough defensively and he doesn't keep the ball well enough, imo.

Would definitely bring him on after 70 mins if the scores are level - or we are behind - ahead of Grealish, though. If we are ahead, Grealish comes on for me just for the ball retention.

Bellingham is an amazing talent, but also seems to have the complete respect of the rest of the squad, too. If only we had a world class CB to put next to Stones. Maguire has done better than expected, but he was still making silly errors last night.

I don’t get why Rashford has been dropped after scoring twice in the last game.

Because he was immensely wasteful with possession.

We have players who have and will score goals from similar positions. But possession will be key from now on. You can't have the first touch of Romelu Lukaku playing with a balloon in a knock-out game

Assessing whether the ball is overhanging is difficult I think. As the Japan debacle showed. I think it’s easier to determine whether the ball is more than half way over the line

No way are you being serious.
